Mandarina Duck Cute Pink

I totally agree Blimunda, the bottle is offensively cheap looking, crying out to be CUTE while the perfume is not that cheap. It looks like kids' perfume.. Mandarina Duck is well-known handbag brand in Spain, I own some of their bags but never paid attention to their perfume lines until now. I used to spot MD fragrance bottles in my friends houses in Spain so they must be popular as well as handbags? On my recent trip to Canary Islands where you can get perfumes cheaper(VAT free islands ?), I was buying Marc Jacobs Honey and Dot. A lovely shop assistant who in the end well understood my tastes, she recommended Escada Taj Sunset and this to me. I never bought perfume on a whim but I liked them so much so bought both. Cute Pink is, as she said, very easy to wear and stays very long. It is a bit over powering at application but it will soon ease off, I keep sniffing as it smells yummy. If you like perfumes I mentioned above (and Escada's summer collections) you will like. it is not as sweet as i.e. Taj Sunset.

It's so sweet and delicious but not wearable for me. Like a food, not a fragrance. I like to smell it, but I can't wearing.

I wanted to try Cute Pink because the yellow Mandarina Duck made an impression on me. And here comes what I think about the pink version: My first impression was: it resembles L'Imperatrice by Dolce&Gabbana! Really, first minutes were so similar, even if notes of them two are different: I could detect fresh fruit, sweet and sour and a strong musk note in both. Then it appeared that Cute Pink is different than L'Imperatrice because it's less flamboyant and more girly in a kind way. Actually Pink isn't sweet that much, more sweet-sour. Beginning is rather strong but then the smell stays close to skin. The yellow Mandarina Duck made bigger impression on me but it was harder to wear (it was also stronger and it left a trace behind me when I was wearing it), Cute Pink is easier to wear, doesn't leave a trace, both are fresh. Cute Pink becomes smooth and creamy in the drydown. By the way: it says there's a plum among the ingredients (on my sample leaflet), I don't see it listed here but I can sniff it.

When I tried it I first thought about something like candies I loved when I was a kid. Bottle is cute too. This going to be replacing Pink Sugar for me. Staying power is great. I think sweet fragrances are more fall/winter, but I'm curious how this will be in summer. It doesn't have licorice. Remember Tutti Frutti candies? That is that. It's sweet and strong but I don't see it sticky. it's fresh sweetness. I personally hate sickeningly sweet things, but this one is nice.

I bought this because I wanted a sweet citric and soft everyday perfume and the lady at the counter recommended this, I'm not sure if is soft or citric but sure is sweet! sometimes it can be too sweet on me so I just don't use it that much. I don't hate it, it is a cute scent, but I don't love it either

I find this to be the perfect summer fragrance for me. The smell is fruity, fresh and it's perfect for the heat as it's not too cloying. Indeed the name Cute Pink suits the smell of this perfume perfectly. But I agree with others, the bottle is very tacky indeed.

Summer pick me up ... on the onset it might be strong but it dies down nicely ... i live in a hot humid summer country in asia ... its my cheer me up sent ... lets me think of cool citrusy fruits

Wow this is cutesy sweet! The fruit - berries in particular - stay on for a long time, and the flowers take a while to become detectable (mostly as a bit of powder), so this is at least fruity floral. Never had the Tutti Frutti candy, but it does have an old-school candy feel - old-school in the sense that there's some real fruit juice and real sugar in it, as candy used to be, not syntheticy. I had shampoo that smelled exactly like this when I was a kid, so I might get it for nostalgic reasons. But you need to REALLY like your bubblegum sweetness to wear this comfortably. For those who do, this will be extremely energizing and uplifting.

My mom just bought this today and when I smelled it I thought that she was using my "Forever Elizabeth- Elizabeth Taylor", she told me that it was her new perfume and she showed me this one "Mandarina Duck". When I sprayed on my wrist it doesn ́t smelled at all to "Forever Elizabeth" but after some minutes it smelled exactly exactly exactly the same ! I am smelling it again and now the scent turned into fruits scent. However I rather "Forever Elizabeth" from Elizabeth Taylor ;)

found this in my mom's bathroom and god knows how long its been in there so idk if its turned bad or not but i love it nonetheless !! so fruity and sweet when dried down. perfect for hot weather and lasted for a whole day

Horrible, horrible scent! Sweet and sticky. Very strong. Felt like I was drowning in it.
