Croisette d'Azur

This one is my favourite from the collection! I've smelled it before the new YSL Libre EDT came out in my country, and upon first snitf, I immediately thought "Hey! This is like a spring/summer version of Libre!". And after I've tried the new Libre edt version, I think they smell so similar! I still have to test them side by side to tell you the extent of similarity, but out of my mind they smell very close.

Blind buy based on the notes (just because the tiny Mango store where I live doesn't stock their fragrances). I think the name is misleading. The notes as well. They made them up. It has nothing to do with Cannes (where la Croisette is located) nor the Mediterranean, as you would assume since the line is called Mémoires de la Méditerranée... I thought - boy i was so wrong- it would be a fresh, summer like floral citrus cologne. Instead it is... a common, generic white musk. Clean, freshly laundered cotton clothes. Minimalist. No other notes detectable (a part a short lived grapefruit note plus the super sweet candied mandarine peel... lasting 10 seconds). Nothing fresh. Easy to wear but...so generic and underwhelming. It's a scent you would have probably liked in the years '00. I said you, because as far as I am concerned I was not in those kind of minimalist fragrances back then, even if they were all the rage. A huge pass for me... my bottle will be gifted away.
