Manila Grace Eau Fraîche

Antoanette dear this is Cachen. Was I absolutely shocked!I am a feminist, I am a follower of feminist perfumes, serious, sober but velvety I have never put the flavors of jellies, caramel, sorbet, pralines in this category, on the contrary these flavors usually shout something else. I hate and I will hate forever what Escada has become and those colorful and horrible perfumes and yet......I received this perfume from a friend, I thought it was a classic Italian cyprus, possibly vintage after the bottle I opened it and blew it in the air .... wow a fine, fragrant aroma, a velvety citrus not hard, powdered not suffocating with intimate and aristocratic projection .... I instantly fell in love.I wore it for a week in a row, it seems to me that it perfectly complements the classic women's business suit from 90 as I wear. It is somehow a fine but elegant note, feminine but cold Don't shout: on your knees like Dupont or Arrogance, but it says the same as 5th avenue, marigold, Oscar and pearl verte: I'm the lady, but I can break your neck if I want to.When I looked at the notes ... what? Sorbet?It can't be, the notes can't be correct, then I looked for the author and surprises Corinne Cachen .... this woman I adore whatever she puts her hand in, she creates a feminist perfume it doesn't matter what she puts it there somehow always manages to keep the note of power and sobriety as I love Perle Verte I love this...amazing. By the way, it has nothing to do with Escada, none!

Don't let my heart fail to come up with an adaptation. First of all, don't test it on your hand, for a strange reason, at least on me, it catches a sweeter smell on your wrist. If you put it on the neck directly on the skin, it smells DIVINELY a slightly sweet citrus, like a citrus plantation after the rain and on her clothes she has a floral scent, even surprising, a tulip and a violet with something cold and something fruity, very unique scent. I don't know how Mrs. Cachen does it, but she takes out some perfumes 😍

Milk, mango and ginger.Cheerful tipical Italian scent.

Love it until I bought it, now I detect an annoying note that I can't put my nose on. It also last two seconds so that's refreshing I guess. I do sense the coconut but it's as if there's a green note that interferes with it so after a while all that's left is the suffocating green note, without a trace of the promised coconut. There's also a milky feel about it which I appreciate. It was cheap, I wonder if the black one smells any better?

Kinda heavy and cheap coconut. No lasting power. Another regret in counting...

Manila Grace Eau Fraiche opens with the sunny, sweet warmth of milky mango. It's lovely. After fifteen minutes, a bright grapefruit arrives and sits beautifully fresh against the milky mango. Love this. Then, there's an intriguing green note: I like it, I've never smelt anything like it. I love the originality. But the green ramps up and I agree with another poster who said it's a suffocating green. Intriguing turns to unbearable. A weird ozonic note arrives that clashes horribly with this green. To my nose, it's precisely this: a green bell pepper that has gone mouldy and is left outside on a bitterly cold day. The mouldy green dominates until I relent: it's a scrubber. I still think it's worth a shot because the opening is so lovely and the green starts out so well. The ozonic-meets-mouldy thing might not appear on someone else's skin. Maybe it would remain an intriguing green on someone else, I really hope so.

I coulden't get past the first 2 houers of plasticy artivical sorbet. Its nice in the dry down, a fruity fanilla. But bevore there you have to work through unripe mango sorbet that feels oddly green and a bit like a cleaning product. It reminded me a LOT of a cough sirup I had to take as a kid. Not for me.

Good job they did an eau fraiche the original Manila was so cloyingly sweet it wae unwerable and this is coming from someone who loves sweet fragrances. This is an Italian brand justo sold in Italy but the rest of the world didn't miss much I guess

Today I received this cheapie anddd, I love it! It smells so fresh and yummy, I can smell any fruits, like grapefruit or orange, some mango, it’s quite good choise for summer or spring, it reminds me the ended summer. Highly recommend!

First thought: CK IN2U with grapefruit amped up, a true orange and artificial candy powder sweetness (reminds me of those candy necklaces, probably coming from the mango sorbet). Coconut is not in the notes and I don't get it either.
