Immortelle

Ahhhh I cannot stop swooning for this one when I smell it. It was love at first try for me when I got my hands on a sample and I immediately purchased a full bottle because I need to have this one for as long as a I keep breathing. An absolute triumph of Greek perfumery right here. Well blended, sweet, herbal gourmand perfection. I LOVE IT! I absolute love this masterpiece and I will gush about it until the cows come home. If you like gourmands and you enjoy immortelle in perfumery, then this one is a dream come true. Massive sillage and projection, so you don't need to overspray and it lasts, and lasts, all day and all night. I wake up in the morning and I can smell where its ruined off on my bed sheets, which is super cosy and enjoyable. The initial opening is a blast of sweetness that feels like it makes my teeth ache. It's a herbal leaning, caramelised brown sugar, and then rich buttery cinnamon cookies infused with golden immortelle flowers, being dipped into warm milk that's swirled with clove and sandalwood. This is sweet, creamy and herbal all at once, which I experience as perfection and actually very unique. I disagree that it's too sweet, as the herbal side of things keeps it from being sickeningly sweet, and I wonder if those who found it too sweet oversprayed it or got scares of the super sweet brown sugar opening of it, which does smooth out and die down if you wait for it to develop the full picture. Masterpiece! Full bottle worthy without a doubt.

Cinnamon buttery cookies with wilk! A gourmand's dream! This scent gives all the immortelle flower nuances the brown sugar, caramel, maybe a bit like coffee effect, combined with cinnamon, cloves, a creamy, buttery sandalwood and benzoin. It doesn't develop much, it stays linear from the initial spray. This is sweet but not very sweet, warm, it has a spicy, buttery, powdery feeling and you can definitely feel the beautiful blend and the high quality ingedients! Performance is really good but not beastly, 7-8 hours longevity with good projection for 2-3 hours. This is quite versatile, easy to wear and to like, i could wear it any time of the year except the really hot summer days. It could be a great signature/office scent but to me this is more like a more unique, special occasions scent, ideal and very alluring for a date! Overall, i am so happy that i found this fragrance and i am even happier because this comes from a Greek house using in this beautiful way a very common to find outside and a legendary flower in Greek mythology. If you are a gourmand lover this is a must try!!

When I first smelt Immortelle at a friends house I thought it was absolutely stunning. I searched everywhere to buy it and no where had any stock. I’ve since found out it’s been discontinued. I was over the moon when I found one site selling a full bottle. I’m excited to be able to have this in my collection. Immortelle to me this is a bit of everything. It’s a touch grown up gourmand, a little spicy and a little sweet. It’s totally unisex and smells great on everyone. It’s calming, comforting, warm and creamy with the notes of cinnamon, clove and milk. It actually reminds me of a Chai Latte. The fragrance is beautifully blended together, so no one note dominates over the other. This is a classy and sophisticated scent that could easily be dressed up or down. I would wear this out to a black tie event or relaxing on the sofa, wrapped in a blanket with a hot chocolate. It’s just such a gorgeous scent. Im so pleased I managed to get a bottle!

Easily the greatest, most sophisticated gourmand perfume i have ever smelled. I first came across this Manos Gerakinis perfume through a tw1tter post on twitter user slothsmells's perfume shelf photo (they have great taste), & that stunning looking bottle stood out to me. Once I got the sample it, it was love at first sniff. It made me fall in love with Immortelle as a note, and the milk touch is genius with the sandalwood (that combo is amazing to me). It's deep, rich, and unique in a sea of boring sweet gourmands being pumped out by brands out there. It does remain quite linear after about 20-30 minutes on the skin, but I think that is good. Overall, this is an art, & i must have a full bottle on my perfume tray. I highly recommend.

I love immortelle so I probably can’t be considered an impartial critic, but of course I love this. Comparing it to some other immortelle fragrances- where Afternoon of the Faun is grassy and fresh, and Sables is deep and earthy, this one is powdery light, and feels naturally sweet with a little spice floating on the top. It has a gentle soft milkiness to it that adds to the impression of it being light as a feather. It’s the most typically feminine of these 3 fragrances, very pretty and easy to wear. An immortelle fragrance suitable for bedtime, babies, and anyone in need of comfort. Immortelle lasts 6 hours on skin and is fairly linear, although eventually, sadly, the immortelle fades and is replaced by a milky sandalwood.

I’m just gonna say it. This smells like a cinnamon honey graham cracker with a really nice milky vanilla spice. Reminds me of a delicious baklava which is also Greek. For me, it’s a gourmand you can wear in warmer weather. It is not an overly complex scent, but it is lovely. One of my favorite immortelle perfumes. I always overspray everything, but this one does not project much and keeps a pretty close bubble. Your skin smells amazing. It feels less sticky sweet than Sables (which is a banger) and easier to wear. This is more of a dry, brown sugar immortelle than sickly sweet honey. I would recommend this to everyone.

Immortelle has captured my heart—I'm in lust! This fragrance is an incredibly unique and beautiful scent that evokes the aroma of a finely toasted curry powder. It's a savory gourmand. The blend is masterful; the perfumer expertly handled the nutmeg and clove, ensuring they complement the star notes without fighting for attention. The introduction of brown sugar is pure magic, elevating the entire composition to stellar heights. This is a wonderfully comfortable scent suitable for any time of year. Given the unique, exotic allure of the immortelle note, however, tread carefully—this is not recommended for a blind buy.

This is very warm and rich on the dry down. At the beginning i was afraid it would be way too spicy. You can smell butter and spices and it is very lactonic but not heavy. On the dry down it is smooth, airy , i am a woman 34y.o. and i find it as mature as it should be. Definately for colder weather. Most definately better than Teo Cabanel- Cafe Cabanel which remains more spicy till the end. Immortele is also giving uplifting vanilla and slight floral vibes. Both fragrances are nices and both can be worn from women and men. Both not a safe blind buy for me except you are sure you like all spicy smells.

[WIP 2021] I've been waiting on my online order of Palo Santo for a month and every other order from the UK and US has come through so this is a bit ridiculous... but another ridiculous thing is the fact that how did I not see this right in front of me-- Creamy milk, cloves, caramelised sugar and immortelle! This sounds like Lann Ael on a turkish platter! Hold my savings, better cancel my order when I can get this on Oligarch for $250AUD (upfront and ALSO Paypal/Afterpay)

Gorgeous! I have never smelled the Cafe Cabanel listed above, but I do Have New Haarlem. I see the similarities, but to me this is more gourmand, with less of the "Cologney" Vibe NH has. Don't get me wrong both are masterpieces. Different enough to have both if this is your thing. I'm not typically into literal gourmand fragrances, but I do like this very much. Reminds me of a fresh baked cinnamon bun with the glaze melting down the sides. To me, it's got a strong presence that can easily become overwhelming, so this is one of those I feel I can't overspray. Because of this, I don't feel I need a full bottle, but I'm definitely getting a large travel size decant.

This is very sweet. Do not wear in the heat, much better for cold weather. It’s quite creamy and resinous as well. I see myself layering this with my oud fragrances

Absolutely gorgeous fragrance that verges on gourmand but to me retains at heart its floral beauty. Deep, rich, addictive, and easily lasts 12 hours or more.

Really pretty and interesting fragrance. Love the spicy and milky nuances! Has a bit of hay imo, in the best way possible. Very addictive

Sweet summer in winter festive season!

A long overdue sampling of Manos Gerakinis Immortelle, a creamy/milky, smooth floral creation that was instantly pleasing when I first smelled it some months ago at Perfumology. Its heart notes of immortelle and milk tell much of the story, but it’s also accented with the top note spices of clove and cinnamon and base notes of brown sugar, benzoin, sandalwood, and patchouli. The notes feel very much in sync with my experience of the fragrance, with spices and a creamy woody dry down that complement the milky floral center. Immortelle is easily likable and for many, I imagine, easily lovable, safe but not in an inelegant, uninteresting way. It’s a nice creation that really brings out what’s lovely about the immortelle flower, which I generally associate with sweeter perfumes. Moreover, it’s rich and fairly dense, not overwhelming but certainly to the point that despite its light and fluffy quality, it really feels more suited for cold weather use. Perfumology remains the only US retailer that sells the “Parfums de Jour” trio, which includes Pivoine and Rose Poetique. Immortelle is priced at $145 for 60ml, as is Pivoine, with Rose Poetique priced slightly higher at $168 for 50ml. 7 out of 10

You can smell the quality of the ingredients on this one. It’s extremely smooth and well-blended. Longevity is also superb. To be honest, I wouldn’t be able tell you how realistic the immortelle flower is in this fragrance since I’ve never smelled one before. But to me the scent is reminiscent of the old-fashioned candy called Mary Janes. Basically Mary Janes is a peanut butter and molasses taffy (though there’s no stickiness to the feel of this fragrance at all). I’ve also heard MG Immortelle compared to Cookie Butter (credit to Smelling Great Fragrance Reviews for the comparison) and I can see that as well. It’s creamy, brown sugary sweet, and spiced with cinnamon and cloves just like creamy cookie butter made from the spiced cookies called Speculoos. This fragrance is underrated and doesn’t get the recognition it deserves. Please do give this a try.

I fell in love with immortelle through ELDO Like This, then went through about a dozen other immortelle-forward fragrances trying to find something else I loved as much as Like This. Eventually I realized that I only really enjoy immortelle if it's used in conjunction with sweet/gourmand notes, so fragrances like Sables or The Afternoon of the Faun didn't work for me. So if you love Like This, you'll probably also enjoy Gerakinis' Imomortelle, but if you like more herbal immortelle fragrances then this might not be for you. For the record, the only other immortelle fragrance that I've enjoyed that is in line with Gerakinis' Immortelle and Like This is Givenchy Immortelle Tribal. L'Occitane Immortelle de Corse is okay and worth checking out, though I didn't love it.

I usually like borderline gourmand type perfumes and this one for me is dead straight gourmand but I quite enjoy it. This is a first for me but whether I'd wear it is a different story but each time I smell it, it's just heavenly. Update: I now understand true gourmand lovers. I use to think it was odd smelling like food and always felt conscious that people would smell that about me. Now I realise, it's not for others to smell and judge, but for one's self to enjoy and appreciate. I can't stop smelling my sample, it's absolutely intoxicating that I want to smell it around me all the time during cold gloomy days. And here we have it, my very first gourmand fragrance.

Immortelle is very gourmand and sweet. It reminds me of a biscuit or something similar in that respect. It is nice but seems to be very strong to the nose. The brown sugar, cinnamon and milk notes are the main notes that stand out to my nose. It is blended very nicely but I would say that the addition of cloves and patchouli, moreso the cloves than patchouli , are a misfire. But as a whole it smells nice, nothing I would rave about. For winter/autumn scents, there are offerings from Manos Gerakinis that are more pleasant. 7.5/10

I'm going to have to go in a different direction for this one. I don't get sweet and sticky at all. This is a herbal vanilla and does uplift you for sure. I can also for some reason smell a little lemon, even though this is not a note. This a unisex fragrance. I really like the smell and it's different from anything else in my collection. If you don't won't to smell like anyone else in the room reach for this. 8 out of 10

It’s like a fresh batch of delicious cinnamon Christmas cookies coming out of the oven. I can’t figure out where to buy a full bottle of Immortelle from in the US, so I guess I’ll buy some more samples on Scent Split until I figure it out. This is a very solid, upscale smelling gourmand.

This is slightly sweeter than many Immortelle fragrances but is well worth exploring. It’s very well balanced. The immortelle is certainly present, but it doesn’t dominate. For me, this fragrance lasts for about 8 hours.

This scent is a little odd in the first 10 - 15 min. It smelled like brown sugar, but not sweet brown sugar, more like that burned molasses smell that brown sugar has sometimes. After that, the floral note came through. Then it smelled like burnt flowers. It settled into a very spicy cinnamon, clove, benzoin scent. I've been smelling my arm on and off for a while seeing how the fragrance changes with time and everytime I catch a hint of the floral in-between all the spice, it throws me off. I dont think it adds to the depth of the scent. It is kind of misplaced. I think this scent smells a little smokey even though it's not in the notes. As time goes on, the benzoin and floral notes are getting stronger. To me, it's very odd. Kind of muddy and incohesive. This isn't a safe blind buy.

Today I chose (or rather, my husband blindly picked for me) Immortelle - a sample I got from a friend. For how intense the scent is out of the bottle and in the first minutes, it fades surprisingly quickly. I even asked my husband and he said he can't smell anything, and that was only after a couple of hours. As for the aroma itself, it's not bad. There is a burnt sugar quality to it, but it's not exactly my cup of tea. It's simultaneously too strong at the start, too bitter throughout, somehow not balanced for my nose. I enjoy the scent out of the bottle, but not on the skin.

The sugary base on this reminds me a lot of Fève Délicieuse (which I don't like). So much so that I'm surprised it wasn't up there....however I know most people DON'T take "reminds me of" literally...I think "reminds me of" is commonly (mis)interpreted as "dupe/clone of". That it definitely is not! There's absolutely no cherry, and its not at all as muddled as Fève is...its kind of like Fève Délicieuse Cookie Butter edition. I love immortelle and panicked and bought the last travel size that was in stock; I wish I would've stuck with a sample. It's safe and cozy; but not something I think I will really ever want to wear~ HOWEVER if you like Fève (most do) and cookie butter (even more do) I think you'll probably enjoy it. It's well blended and composed.

Manos! Congratulations brother! This is it! Greek Perfumery at its best! This is the under dog that enters the room and everybody keeps passing on, and eventually makes it in life! This is the reason why you should keep your eyes and mind open for new fresh ideas! This is the Reference Immortelle! This is the best ever when it comes to it! Milk, Brown Sugar, Cinnamon! AND IMMORTELLE! or in Greek! Ελίχρυσος I Mean come on MAN! This is a Gourmand Dream that came true! Cinnamon Cookies all day Man! Some people might get Cinnamon Bun vibes! I can see that! Enough promoting this! Because it deserves it! TRY IT! Thank me later! 10/10 Masterpiece!

Immortelle is a warm sweet perfume slightly spicy at the top dominated by cinnamon, a sweet lactonic gourmand amber woody with an herbal touch. It gives me the feeling of a milkmaid boiling/foaming, a buttery cookie. I also feel inside the fragrance its main star, the floral sweetness of immortelle and something green herbal softening any cloying sweetness on the part of the accord provided by benzoin and especially by brown sugar that resembles a toasted caramel. Excellent perfume a treat, with great performance. * Produced in Greece with alcohol of vegetable origin.

This will forever be in the brands collection, but will it make it into mine? Maybe. I’m surprised how nice and calming this is. I looked into the immortelle flower a bit and this seems to really highlight the key notes of the flower without letting anything dominate. Quite skilled perfumery. I like the touch of spiciness. I like that the milk note is not too laconic (but definitely adds to the suppleness). I like that the brown sugar is not the usual ethyl maltol bomb. Comforting, tasty, refined, well done.

Wearing this today and...damn it's good. Opens on a cozy, warm melange of immortelle, brown sugar, clove and benzoin. But the real magic happens an hour or two in when a soapy green floral (maybe lily of the valley?) and a touch of a fractionated patchouli (akigalawood maybe) peek through to gently cut the sweetness. Settles to a nice blend of sandalwood and immortelle with this clean patchouli hovering in the distant background. Wonderful fragrance. Should be talked about more.

I wanted this because a lot of reviews said it smelled bready. It doesn’t. It’s very spicy and I get brown sugar but nothing lactonic. It doesn’t smell like Cafe Cabanel to me. A spicy (kinda burnt) brown sugar is what I get.

Just recently purchased a decant and im really enjoying it .Super unique if your into gourmond fragrances. Full bottle worthy. Yasou to Manos Gerakinis for creating this amazing sent.

The begging is as they said- medicianal, but after spray ~20 minutes, it reminds me Acqua e zuccechero by Profunum Roma. I wish that initial smell would remain longer..

This has a definite brown butter maple cookie type of vibe to it. Warm, cozy, sweet, I do like it but I’m not sure I would buy a bottle.

Spicy, milky, herbal and somehow gourmand.... Very interesting fragrance! Is it intriguing? Yes! Do I want it? No.

I almost bought this today but I could smell a faint smell of curry. Other than that, it smelled amazing.
