Wow, this is absolutely delicious and quite unique. I recently saw a few reviews of this online, and went to my local perfumery (Shy Mimosa in Bristol, UK) to smell this and Immortelle from the same house. I'm a big fan of fig in perfumes, but have reached the point where I probably don't need any more fig scents in my collection as many I smell these days are lovely but don't give me anything different from what I already have (I have green and sappy, I have fruity, I have sweet gourmand, and I have a salty, fresh one). But this blew me away at first sniff. It opens with what I describe as an almost marzipan vibe - sweet yet light honey with a fresh, green fig edge. The initial blast is heaven for me. I've worn my sample twice now and will definitely buy a full bottle soon. I don't like honey to eat, and was worried this note would be too thick/heavy, but it stays fairly light in texture throughout the wear, with the green fig element wafting in and out. The powdered cocoa element comes in and I would say is actually the most dominant note in the dry down, nudging the honey out just slightly. This is undoubtedly gourmand but given the light/fresh quality that is retained throughout I think it will appeal to those who would not normally say they're a fan of that genre. I can't help but compare this to Ex Idolo's Love and Crime, as I find the cocoa note in the two to be similar. However, where L&C has an undeniably syrupy/heavy texture, this does not. However this may be slightly sweeter overall. The sillage was mouthwateringly noticeable on my last wear, and I got wafts of sweetness throughout the day. It lastes all day on clothing and maybe just shy of all day on my skin. I'm totally enchanted by this scent and can't wait to get a full bottle. Unique, delicious and exceptionally well executed.

"MEΘEXIS | Manos Gerakinis" is a stunning combination of fig, cocoa, honey and vanilla. Beautifully blended, easily unisex as it isn’t too sweet, and perfect for all year round. This is a light wearing fragrance, but it does create a nice scent bubble around you. I find myself catching alternating whiffs of cocoa and honeyed fig throughout the day. Very sophisticated, but comforting at the same time. This is a creamy warm fig scent, no greenness here. I’m not usually a fan of fig scents and while I would say it’s definitely the most dominant note, it’s so beautifully blended with the other notes that I find it easily lovable.

This is so beautiful. It takes fig in a totally different direction than most - warm, spiced and creamy rather than sharp and green. Everything comes across as natural and high-quality, including the honeyed cedar drydown (I am super sensitive to many of the synthetic longevity-enhancers). Everything I've tried from this house has impressed me with its quality and artistry, though this has been the one to truly take my breath away. My next full bottle purchase for sure.

this is a SUMmer time thing... The honey, amber, cacao make dense heat sand beach without water scent. But the greeness and stemminess (green stem) and wood make this fresh. Tiny cassis green from black currant, cedarwood and vetiver is the strong green. Freshness sits ontop the granular density of cacao and amber. Fig is aquaticlike and fresh ontop of freshness. Calvin Klein men Eternity Reflection come to mind. Eternity Reflection is a summer time beach theme too.

Rich chocolaty fragrance with a beautiful balsamic base. It’s very balanced, deep and delicious! Soft spicy mixed with subtle sweetness makes it absolutely perfect. 10 out of 10! ig: scent.guide

I went on a bit of a journey with this one. I first read about it in an article here (about small brands at Esxcence), and was very excited to hear it was a new fig scent meant to capture the smell of Greece. Then it was actually released and it turned out to be a gourmand, very much not my thing. I disappointedly forgot about trying it, until I ended up at a niche perfume shop in Philly. The guy there was unbelievably rude and dismissive til I spotted this on a shelf and, in a last-ditch attempt at friendliness, said "I heard that one just came out and got a good response at Esxence." The guy finally deigned to give me the time of day, and I walked out with a sample of this despite myself. I'm glad I did! So, about the scent itself: I actually love the first hour or so! It *is* sweet, but in a rich, deep way with notable tones of fig and cocoa. It was really pleasant to wear, and I could see myself reaching for it on a hot summer night or a golden autumn day. I'm not as big of a fan of the dry-down, which is heavy on the honey. It's not a 100% true to life honey scent, more like a honey-flavored hard candy, a bit artificial and cloying. Overall I think this is worth trying, but it's ultimately not for me.

Opens like a chocolate truffle and dries down into a nice fig gourmand with a chocolate undertone. Really nice year round gourmand. Probably leans a little feminine but it is definitely something men can pull off without any issue. My girlfriend picked this out for me and it’s now one of my go to scents for date night. Nice little unique secret weapon to have in the arsenal. 7/10

This is very honey forward in the opening. Unfortunately, that's one scent I dislik. But as it's settling, I'm definitely getting more fig and cacao. My first impression was not a good one, but now I'm loving it. Great layered with other Fig fragrances.

A very dessert-like impression of the fig note. No greennness, no coconut. It smells like a gum with fig or like a dessert made for summer.

Smells immediately of chocolate to me. As it dries down i pick up the dried fruit and fig notes. I pick up the roundness of the honey and slight spiciness of the cinnamon. A soft vanilla amber in the Base. This has gourmand written all over it.

I get sun tan lotion. That's it. Generic sun tan lotion.

Anyone who says that this scent is good is lying through their teeth. It is not unique or delicious. It smells so fake and cheap. I feel like I could pick this up at CVS or something.

Why am I getting baby powder? Is it the honey note? I get the fig but on a bed of baby powder! I’m so sad I bought a 10 ml... oh well. Not safe even for fig lovers like myself. I think it’s the cocoa and honey mixed together

I got a free sample of this a couple years ago and liked it from jump but only recently started craving something rich, sweet and spiced for a summer's evening and decided to bite the bullet. The first thing I get is ripe figs, raw honey and fresh green blackberries -- It reminds me of a breakfast I once had of figs, honey and whipped mascarpone on toast served with purple flowers, while sitting in a calm cliffside garden. It's a warm early-summer's morning, still but for a faint breeze. As it dries down the cacao and spices emerge. It's rich, gourmand and fresh at once, and definitely not one for people who shy away from 'greenness'. Also love the storytelling behind this -- I see the timeless Mediterranean character, the honey giving it a 'nectar and ambrosia' quality.

This is a very unusual fig perfume. The fig is a main player for quite a while but it’s gone by the dry down. I was expecting those chewy, caramelised dried figs but no way- this is dark green, bright fig. It is a strange but interesting pair in with the huge cacao and honey thing- like total opposites but in a good way. This is not boring or like anything I have ever come across before. It is very gourmand and unisex. I would say better for winter but it isn’t hugely sweet- just quite dense. The cacao is very good here - I really love cacao perfumes and the honey has no animalic undertones that I find off-putting. The drydown is a really warm ambery vanilla. A really great perfume (but my favourite from this house will always be Immortelle).

Methexis is pretty good. I like the notes: dried fruits, fig, honey, cacao, cinnamon etc so it's right up my alley. Reminds me a bit of All The Queens Men by Fort & Manle, of which I have a full bottle. The Fort & Manle is a bit "higher pitched", maybe in part due to a rum note. Methexis is not so much a "fig scent", as the fig fruit is rather subdued in the sweet fruity blend. I Don't need a full bottle of Methexis since I have a collection of this scent profile. Not enough here to stand out for me.

This smells VERY GREEN. I'm surprised there's no green notes listed. I get a very green, very stem-like bush. Like the wooded part of a flower bush. I get that, I get alot of power, I get floral, and some fruits. I can't say it's Fig that I'm smelling, but some fruity aspect. It's nice, but it's not what the notes suggest it would be. And, I can see the powder being overwhelming to some. Again, it's cool. I like it. Try it for yourself. It's a decent Spring/Summer fragrance. Smells very clean.

Very nice fig. I’m not usually a fan of the note, but this is special. It still is sweet, but for me it’s not as cloying as the fig notes in ADP fico or diptique and I think the performance of this one is a lot better. As a summer gourmand I can see this working.
