Omen

This is a mysterious and unexpected fragrance, fun and at the same time deep and introspective. A unique combination of sparkling fruitiness, aromatic green herbs, precious earthy woods and amber leather that make this fragrance oscillate between luminous realism and a dreamlike smoky haze. By vaporizing Omen we set off on a unique journey that transports us back in time, to Delphi, inside the grandiose temple of Apollo, in the presence of the famous oracle Pythia, who in a state of divine trance gives us her prophecy. Know thyself, this is the maxim engraved in the temple that has come down to us, an invitation to challenge one's precepts and explore new facets of oneself. This is Omen, a multifaceted and multifaceted perfume waiting to be discovered.

The apple note in the opening is short lived but is beautiful giving the perfume a slight tinge of sweetness. As the fragrance begins to dry down, it turns to a rich leather/oud mix with some green in it. The fragrance is described as reflecting the Delphic landscape which gives Omen a story behind it and provides a sense of olfactory imagination. In my honest opinion, this craft is beautiful. The leather note is prominent and well done giving this fragrance a some what ominous essence hence the name. The longevity and sillage are moderate but I haven't yet to try it with any type of moisturiser on skin. 9.5/10

For me, the aroma is primarily a fougere, such a forest fairy)), sometimes a pharmaceutical soothing alcohol infusion (meow), rather masculine, but sometimes I like to wear such a beauty myself, especially on wet hair, to create around me a green tart cloud, later you can hear both the leather, and the oud, but very clean breathable mix

Not one of the best from this house, although it's an interesting scent. I find it slightly repulsive, despite it being an intriguing smell, as it comes accross as something fetid overall, smelling somewhat decaying. The scent opens with sweet apple, which is gone in an instant. The sweetness from the apple carries on, shifting into a leather stage, along with some of the camphorous and herbaceous notes from the bay and agathosma. This seems like a herbal leather which is then decaying into something sweet, and slightly animalic, as it breaks down. The sweet base with the tonka and the musk, as well as the fir, add to this overall sweetness, which carries over on the dry down as the leather fades. I didnt really notice the jasmine here at all, nothing anout this perfume says floral, instead it is more strongly hearbal. The longevity and sillage isn't ad good as other perfumes by this house, and I'm not sure how popular this one could be compared to their other amazing perfumes on offer.

This fragrance is impractical and unwearble for me, however I do like some of Omen's themes. The predominance is oily, bitumen, creosote vibes with additional perfume pleasantries thrown in, which makes it feel jarring, disjointed and not as cohesive as the other couple of releases I've tried from the brand. The initial blast in the opening is so weird it's like a old school hardware shop (which are becoming few and far between) or to a lesser extent wandering down the garden isles of B&Q sucking on a fruity sweet because that opening definitely has a fruity accord (could be the apple one mentioned in the notes) in there which feels swamped by the smoky, hydrocarbon fumes. It doesn't smell unnatural for this and to be honest it's intriguing, intoxicating as a smell, quite literally, it doesn't smell like it's good for you. I get a strange green, fern note and something of a galbanic blast of electric green resin, but then it's gone. It's mad because I can smell a sort of floral softness underneath all that butch, oily rag and garden shed woodstain, bluster. If it's not effective as a wearable perfume then I can't get onboard but I have to say it made me sniff and think, which is good I guess? And the name Omen just has me thinking of Damien's evil smirk and the accompanying smell is likely something like this.

Animalic... I get some mouth vibes and some leather touches.. it is something rotten in a leather way which makes it quite interesting! The mix I get is bay leaf, balsam fir, leather, ambergris, and big chunks of musk. As much as it crispy and bit rotten, the blend is quite addictive, but very overpriced. Beautiful.

In the beginning the apple is very prominent, with a quick shift to the leather in a quick turnaround. Longevity not the greatest, and sillage not the best. I probably wouldn't pay 250 for this, maybe on discount.
