Anse Turqouise

I feel like this should have more appreciation. I was first very skeptical when I tried "Anse Turqouise", but as soon as I started feeling what have I just applied, I was completely wooed. "Anse Turqouise" is a wonderful breezy floral, it has a wonderful quality of not being offensive in any kind, jasmine sometimes tends to get heady, but not in here, the blend with citruses is truly great and makes this a perfect spring choice for those who enjoy fresh florals with just the slightest hint of citruses. Even though there is a bunch of notes listed, this did not come off as very complex perfume, it's actually very simple and beautiful in it's simplicity, I think that jasmine is the only note standing out a bit, but it's very tamed down. This could be a very good choice for lovers of fresh florals who seek a bit more interesting perfume for their everyday use. Staying power is very good, more than 7 hours on my skin and projecting strong.

After purchasing Ballade Vert, a beautiful woody rose with a certain mystique, I had to buy this one. The quality of Manuel Canovas perfumes is reminiscent of Elizabeth and James dark woody undertones but lighter and more floral. Unique and lovely. As someone mentioned, an old world vibe in a good way. Anse Turquoise is a wet, green garden of Ylang-ylang, Rose, and Jasmine. It's so beautiful and different. The projection and longevity exceed my expectation.

Various Manuel Canovas are starting to make an appearance at stores such as Marshalls and TJ MAxx in the USA (Oct 2016). The price is eye catching since they are 9.99usd for 3.4os (100ml). I don't usually go for aquatic fragrances, which is what I was expecting from the box design: a turquoise background with coral and sea shell designs. It opens light with I think is orange. It settles to a HEAVY floral, a lot of heady creamy jasmine If you like Versace Blonde and Robert Piguet Fracas then this will please you. If heavy florals are not your thing, walk away and don't let the low price lure you to purchase. I know what this is like:)

Pale yellow in color and a bit rancid at first, opens with violet and geranium then becomes a burnt caramel salty/aquatic. I think think this one may not have the storage longevity of the others in this line.
