Black Heart V 2

The man who wears this has me at his feet. This is the strongest, most beautiful woody scent my nose has touched in a while. Deserves way more attention. It's been a year in my loved list. When everyone Will discover what a weapon this is....boy oh boy. I wore some today on me to see if a woman could pull it off, and I can't...but I seduced myself ! 🙈 Hopeless for this fragrance. It's wonderful and built with extensive attention to details. Nothing is chaotic here, it's layered perfectly like a killer. This is what Tom Cruise would wear in mission impossible. Design is just outstanding. Amazing scent! ( for the more gentle of heart layer with small, small quantity of vanilla for a sweeter version, or fig for a fresher version, and you have the most versatile woody killer base )

I've been buying Black Beart V2 for years now and it never disappoints me. The pricing is affordable, the quality is top notch, and the top notes with terphentic ocalyptus blended so well with black pepper and zesty orange is an ultimate blast of emotions. It comnnects so well with the fresh cardamom and invigorating cinnamon in kid notes. I am not a big fan of the smokey dry down on this one, but even this is balanced our very well with creamy sandal wood notes, overall it's a perfect scent that I wear often.The first thing I noticed is that the fragrance is really authentic and reassuring, and it makes me feel grounded. It has that "base note" feeling that is not too heavy but still lets you know where your feet are. Plus, it's affordable!

This is a wonderfully creative scent that showcases eucalyptus and smoke, with spice & woods lending support. This can be sexy and even signature worthy on the right person, but definitely a scent to be sampled first. The medicinal aspect of eucalyptus and the sweet smoke can be overwhelming for some noses, and this scent can be divisive if liberally applied. Performance is average on my skin. The projection is good but the longevity is average. Black Heart V 2 proves rather unique and natural smelling. Well worth a sample!

Blind buy. I don't why everyone seems so "scared" about this scent...???!!! LOL. I guess it is one of "my type" of scents, to be honest. Yes, the opening is harsh...camphor-ish/medicinal....but then that quickly shifts and the blend of notes start to bloom and IMO...gets rather nice. The dry down...I can still "sense" the underlying camphor aspects...but more toned down. IMO...this is in the vibe of a mixture of Lapidus Oud Noir/Bvlgari Black/with a "flash" of Spicebomb. (?). Performance/sillage....on my skin....sorta average, however I did not expect "average" from the opening blast. (?). Very different scent and I like that !

The scent is amazing, when I wear it, it reminds me of a nice burning forest. Very smoky, woody and "gentle". Unfortunately (at least on my skin) it will last for about two hours (more or less) and then it will fade in a VERY intimate scent (you literally have to put your nose on my skin to smell it). Sillage is also weak, you can sense it for the first 20 minutes then it literally fades. As I said the perfume is great but I wish I the scent was more perceptible... I won't buy it again, great fragrance but poor performance. And given the price I expect it to last longer... Bonus points for the fantastic design 🫀

I have dry skin and I can only smell woodsy notes, dark wood with some insence and a good punch of pepper. Unisex towards manly. No sweet notes at all. A perfect scent to layering with some flowery/musky- scents, I think. I like it - don't love it. Absolute worth trying! Jag har torr hud och jag kan enbart känna tränoter. Mörka tränoter med lite rökelse och faktiskt en rejäl dos peppar. Unisex som lutar åt manligt. Inga söta noter alls, en perfekt lager på lager doft med blommiga eller muskiga dofter, tror jag. Jag gillar den - kommer inte att falla för den men absolut värd att testa!

Black Heart V 2 è tra i quattro profumi di Map of the Heart, quello che sulla carta almeno, ha sentori più originali. Effettivamente è un profumo per palati forti. E stando alle intenzioni degli autori, vorrebbe somigliare ad una foresta che brucia. Che prende fuoco. Ha una struttura molto corposa. Sulla quale predominano incenso, legni ma soprattutto eucalipto. Il profumo ha qualcosa di ripugnante. Fastidioso allo stomaco. Come un pugno. Un incendio visto da lontano. Un albero in fiamme. Il mondo all'imminente passo dell'Apocalisse.

I don't have much to add from the other reviews, but I definitely pick up on a leather vibe, and the camphor opening is quite pungent. One of the best ways I've heard it described is Mezcal.

Black heart is very medicinal and smoky. Probably not the greatest compliment puller but it will get people's attention. I mainly get strong burnt rubber and motor oil type scent mixed with hospital grade disinfectant. You arrived at your cardiologist's office and as soon as the sliding door opens, you get hit by those characteristic antiseptic smell of sterile medical environment, you are directed to your doctor's room. You look around while you wait for the doctor to see you. You picked up a bottle of unknown chemical and started to inspect it. You heard a creak as your doctor come in through the door and you clumsily put the bottle down, spilling some on the computer case on the floor by the desk.The doctor greeted you and you sat down. While you were talking to the doctor about your health issue, the liquid drips inside the computer case, causing a short circuit The computer began to emit smoke and caught fire, releasing a burnt rubber/printed circuit board accord. You are then directed to evacuate out of the building and stand close by as the firetruck arrived. You watch while the firemen futilely try to extinguish the blaze, whereby you get a strong smell the burning building mixed with motor oil. You went home covered in soot and your family started to question about what had happened, but your black heart won't let you admit what you've done. 😎

This fragrance apparently really needs to be in the unusual full bottle for the wearer to get the full effect. I'm just not getting the mystic sensation in my little black plastic tester vial with bad sprayer. Given all the woodsy notes, I was really surprised to see how much citrus it has, which seems to linger at least into the first 40 minutes. The overall effect is pleasant but not a heavy throbbing woody sensation. I bet you feel something more intense if you've just clutched that amazing black glass heart shaped bottle.

The opening is citric, but not just citric. The spices also come through strong on the initial spray. It almost has a leather, maybe suede? at the outset, but this dissipates quickly and it then settles into a really lovely woody spiced scent. I really enjoy the dry down and I think Map of the Heart have developed a beautiful middle eastern style fragrance with black heart V2. Very masculine, although not without a unisex lean. Fantastic silage and longevity.

... at the first spray I have a sweet,medicinal, fresh and smoky atmosphere that reminded me of .. Tonka Imperial! That kind of nocturnal elegance of a black leather jacket, just pulled out of a fragrant wardrobe. Well blended, linear. I mainly get eucalyptus, black pepper, spices, citrus woods, with a kind of dark sweetness similar to leather-licorice-tonka. A chewable but poisonous, dark and mysterious gourmand bittersweet incense. As in a pagan rite.

Although it’s done by a sophisticated perfumer But the scent itself was ok The opening is intriguing The mid is fine The dry down is non existent literally It does down before the 4th hour If the fragrance kept its elegance for a while longer maybe I’d consider adding it to my shelf of honor So it was a good experience Just to test it out of curiosity Next one please

Impressive, a very well blended and balanced smoky composition, fruity aromatic. A smoked marmalade of bitter orange on a base of soft sandalwood (still a bit green cause the eucalyptus). The rendering of the smoke is quiet amazing, it lasts forever always at the perfect timbre.

Even though there's no leather, it has a leathery vibe to me, with a generous dose of smoky too. Strangely, it doesn't feel particularly woody on my skin. It’s very dark, quite masculine, almost a little medicinal. After looking at the notes, I can definitely pick up the spice and eucalyptus, but I wasn't experienced enough to identify them myself. I don't have an issue with any of the notes in isolation. However, I truly hated this. That doesn't mean it is a bad fragrance of course. It just isn't my thing at all.

Realising sandalwood upsets my stomach is breaking my heart. I want these little hearts all over my house!

Imagine the same birch-tar driven smoky accord of Santa Maria Novella's Nostalgia paired to a warm, kind of spicy woody bone structure and you get close to what Black Heart V.2 smells like. It's less *industrial* than the Santa Maria Novella and it avoids the clean musky base that let several Nostalgia's potential lovers down but after the promising opening it quickly turns into a nondescript and pretty uninspired woody-balmy thing with barely perceptible smoky undertones. It smells nice overall but it falls apart really too soon to my tastes. Smoky fragrances have offered way better takes on the main theme (Bois D'Ascese and Comme Des Garcons Tar are still unbeatable) and I guess a bit more courage would have played in the fragrance favor. Nice and kind of forgettable at the same time. Rating: 6.5/10

Turpentine in a fragrance form. Drying oil paint, burning sandalwood incense. If you've ever experienced the romantic comfort of such a studio, you'll feel good here too. Turpentine is mostly obtained from pine resin; eucalyptus is not so far. Not the one used in body products, though. It just delivers the shiny neoprene glimmers over this dark liquid. There's the slightly sweet part which appears in many spicy incense perfumes, but Black Heart is much closer to the romanticism of posh industrial materials than to anything natural. Took me a long time to name it properly; it is also strongly reminding me of a designer fragrance I wore years ago, but I still can't remember which one it was. Nice bottle.

This is a very challenging niche scent. Camphorous, aromatic, extremely smoky and woody with leather feel. Zero sweetness here. This reads uber masculine to my nose. Do not blind buy without testing 1st. This will definitely suit a man better. Great longevity, just not my cup of tea.

Dry woods & eucalyptus incense. dry yet sweet herbal woods with some incense and bits of lime. Very simple but addictive. It's not the burst of smoke as it's dark incensy and bit sweet. This house impresses me as much as i dig deep inside every blend. Interesting.

This scent is incredibly comforting. Its smoky but crisp. Has depth, but still approachable. Its distinctive but gives a familiar vibe, like wearing your dads old leather jacket.
