Dawn

i just got my samples and tried them both -- one on each arm. the other one -- dusk -- turns out to be my fave by a hair (they are really almost identical.) both are oakmoss bombs. it doesn't mention patchouli, but i'd be surprised if there isn't some in both. this -- dawn -- has a discernible lemon balm note which i like a lot. but dusk is just a bit more balanced, a little less of a smell, and a tiny bit more of a perfume. dawn is dense - and dusk is just a little bit more transparent (although it really isn't transparent.) i'd wear either. (again, once on skin they are virtually indistinguishable.) very vegetal, both. on the brown side, reminding me of crushed autumn-leaves, mud, and maybe a bit of stagnant lake water for dusk (a thing i adore, actually.) worth trying.

I wonder if the "sage" in these ('Dawn' and 'Dusk') could be (also) "clary sage"? There is a sweet herbaceousness maybe mixed with a slight patchouli-esque edge, as harperhilton writes below. "Dawn" is brighter than "Dusk", slightly minty / fresh somehow. 'Soft, sweet, lavender, balsamic and amber musky characteristics' = clary sage. Tulsi is apparently a bit basil-like (sweet green). There is definitely a particular and quite special sweetness. I need to test these further but it's apparently complex while smelling quite natural. Will most likely grow on me...Both feel like they were made with a lot of care.
