Marbert Man

This was Randy Rhoads’ signature scent. His sister, Kathy, recently mentioned in an interview that more than 40 years after his death in that horrible plane crash, she and their older brother, Kelle, finally decided to open Randy’s room — which had remained closed all those years at the request of their mother, Dolores. After she passed away in 2015, Kathy and Kelle opened it and found all of Randy’s belongings untouched. Among them was one of his guitar cases, and when they opened one of them, that scent so familiar and nostalgic, immediately burst out, as if it was recently sprayed. They also managed to find the bottle of his perfume, which was already more than half-used (they don't know if from actual use or if it evaporated) and decided to preserve it as a relic — just like all of Randy’s other memorabilia. And it was Marbert Man.

First edition, based on the bottle writing. This is a very Rich fragrance, You just cannot fiind fragrances like this anymore. It has a honey and rose undertone, that goes for the entire life of the scent. I have the eau de cologne conc. Splash, yet this is so powerfull. As similarities, i would name Gentleman Givenchy vintage, and Krizia Uomo, but mere. This one is so Rich, full stuffed fragrance. It would be a jewel in every collector's wardrobe. I myself i am not a collector, i just use this type of fragrances for everyday use, i have over 30 vintage fragrances, and enjoy every minute of usage. When its gone, at least i enjoyed them.

Such a wonderful creation With masculine vibes to challenge the best in the genre It deserves respect and recognition more than it had Not sure what my peers get out of this but it’s truly unique The uniqueness is from the prominence of the artemisia Rendering the aromatic side to a whole other level Performance was excellent although I oversprayed “no regrets whatsoever ” And for the price it is definitely a bargain If you would like a different approach on aromatics fougeres This is a must try

I have a vintage splash bottle. It is splendid – and surprisingly so! I thought this was going to be a strong, 70’s/80s hit you over the head fragrance, but I was really pleasantly surprised. I think this falls in the 70s/80s aromatic fougere wheelhouse, but it’s surprisingly well blended – more like a smooth scotch than a whiskey that requires you to clinch your fist to get it down. Thumbs way up on this one!

Rugged yet restrained, on me MM is a fantastically clean smelling herbal soapy leather. There are about five similar fragrances in the same general category which this satisfactorily averages into one, and so would replace most of them if it were more widely available.

This is not reselled as Marbert Man classic,the scent is almost the same,this one was a bit denser and richer,with more depth and higher performances,but in the key structure is the same one.Highly recommanded!!

Very few current fragrances come close to this rich, masculine and beautiful scent. A classic by all counts. Forget about the current version from Marbert, I'm talking about the vintage pre-IFRA formulation.

If it is reproduced with the same formula used back in 80’s, I bet it will be the new hype for the next decade, I bought jubilation25 because it somehow reminded me of marbert. Bring it back you ba$tards

I have both this and Gentleman vintage, made in West Germany. I dont know year but its definitely vintage. Both are amazing scents, but if someone really really love vintage i am ready to sell.

Marbert Man what a unique piece of Art. I used to wear such beautilful Perfume.Classic,clean,stylish and unique.It last forever:),you will not regret at all when you got such perfume.

Marbert man = all those good memories I like to wear it very much . longevity very good with harmonic and wide notes. I t is so beautiful .

A classic fragrance that I've loved since the 80's.

Marbert man... A German Aramis classic with its own little quirkiness.....simply put. When I was younger I didn't like it much and even though I believe that one should spray what they want whenever they want and I don't believe in (and in fact can't stand) statements like "smells old fashioned" or "smells dated", this fragrance seem to be appreciated more by mature men. A scent is a scent and can never smell like something time related because time does not smell. I remember what it smells like and I would pretty much like it today.

Here we have the Teutonic macho icon that is Marbert Man, still pulling no punches after a reformulation, as evident from the sizable ingredients list on the box. Its opening is shockingly abrasive, I was almost a bit shaken as I don't often encounter such a brazen aldehydic blast, but this settles within seconds to reveal a lathered up saddle-soap leather with clove and honey undertones. I have not yet experienced a more vintage version, but if it's any more stupendous than this, I'd be shell-shocked. The herbal and floral elements are somewhat obfuscated by the monolith of aldehydes, but are there as sort of a distant chorus singing the praises of unbridled machismo and hairy-chested swagger. This Man hovers beyond the skin a good few feet for a few hours and if you aren't judicious with the trigger it will wear you and whip you into submission. Overspray, and you will pull all those within a ten yard radius within its ferocious lair. Be kind, by all means, be what the kids these days eye-rolling call a "sissy sprayer," because if you don't, some of these incredible monsters will slap you for using a thinly-veiled homophobic bs expression and throw you right into the scene of Cruising with Pacino grabbing you by the nuts. That said, this is a beast I'm glad to have in my menagerie.

I have the EDT the EDC and Aftershave , A superb scent nothing rough , nothing brutal or macho ( as was descibed by a prominent nose )This is a smooth classy frag , reminds me in various stages of Monsieur Rochas vintage crossed with Aramis vintage & Phileas ... so nice , i find the EDT & EDC have different facets that i enjoy .. a Masterpeice !!

i would like to get me some marbert man - just to try it.. i saw on their website they do in fact make it - in Germany - and its quite expensive - and i think shipping is like $25.... maybe they should lower the price - or maybe it is lower in actual Germany.
