Daisy Wild Eau So Extra

I’ve never written a review on here before but this perfume is SO good. When you first spray your hit with a sweet chocolate banana scent reminiscent to a banana split. I also do get the sweetness of nectar and the slight fruitiness of the pear but to me heavier on the banana, chocolate, and nectar. The more it drys down the banana gets lighter but still lingers and the sweetness of the chocolate gets brighter. I start to smell the jasmine awaken and mix with the sweet chocolate with the slight fruity of the orange. The dry down is very unique to me because the vanilla and the woods bring out the banana and chocolate again. It’s a very unique complex perfume and these kinds are my favorite!! I prefer the dry down to extra instead of the jasmine which I had exchanged it for. The intense drys down to a basic jasmine and you lose a lot of the banana flower but with the extra I can not only smell the banana and chocolate but it morphs beautifully with the other notes the whole time . This perfume I give a 100000/10 I’m in LOVE with it. It’s such a unique gourmand you can 100% wear all year round. I can’t stop reaching for the bottle...

This perfume is so much fun. I was caught so off guard when I first sprayed it, I would have never imagined banana to hit my nose. The second scent that hit me was chocolate, sweet. The amount of orange/pear I smell is the same amount of lemon I get when I squeeze an already empty lemon, yet you try to get those last few drops onto your food. I would say the banana/chocolate notes last the same way confetti lasts when it's first exploded onto the audience and it slowly falls down, you are left with the aftereffect of jasmine, quieter; the concert is over. This perfume makes me feel optimistic and happy. The scent is confident, yet not migraine inducing. It's very easy to wear, very casual with an emphasis on fun. It is very digestible, as it quiets down to what I describe as "simple flower."

a sophisticated banana is one of my favorite scents and this perfume does give that. it's not sickly sweet or overpowering while it does have quite the sillage. i was sitting in bus and a sweet lady 2 seats behind me asked what i was wearing. she also told me i smelled like a "dessert" which further proves, we never know what we smell like to other people. to me this perfume is a classic daisy-perfume with some more play and fun in it. furthermore, i definitely don't think it smells like a dessert or a banana split to my nose. it smells like a politely 'floraly' banana and dark chocolate perfume that dries down to a quiet and lovely vanilla.

Oh my goodness! They must have really taken heed to some of the commentary about eau so intense still lacking a prominent banana note. I imagine someone in the board room screaming as follows: YOU WANT MORE BANANA??? HERE’S YOUR F**KING BANNANA! GO BANANAS FOR ALL I CARE YOU MONKEY BRAINED F**KS!!! BANANA, BANANA, BANANA, BANANA!!!🍌🍌🍌 Needless to say, I really enjoy it!

It smells like an 'abstract banana,' and then it smells like the jasmine you catch when walking down the street. Most perfumes smell like concentrated, indolic death. This reminds me,much more in comparison of the scent of a living plant in more intensity and sweeter but airy. It is truly a unique scent among thousands of generic ones.

I ordered this perfume for same day delivery as soon as it hit Sephora’s website. I already had the original Daisy Wild. That one is more of a freshie. It’s very sweet, feminine and appropriate for daytime. It’s also an office safe perfume. I do get the banana flower in it as well. I sampled Daisy Wild Intense in the Ulta cosmetics store. I did not like that one. It came off a little too sharp for me. It wasn’t as soft and feminine as the original. Now, I have the Daisy Wild Eau So Extra. To me this one smells like a creamy banana custard with a hint of florals. It also has a tropical feel. I think it would be a perfect scent for summer. It gives me summer vacation and holiday at the beach vibes. This one is more dense and creamy than its predecessors. overall, I give it a solid 8 out of 10. For me, it would have been a 10 if it projected more and lasted a little bit longer.

Opening: BANANA! Then it slowly becomes more floral and green at the same time, while the banana note is still there strong. After 2-3 min the chocolate note comes through , but its a dark bitter one, nothing creamy or sweet about it. After 10 min, jasmine comes through intensively while all the other notes are playing in the background slowly dissapearing...until it becomes the typical "Daisy Wild" DNA of this line. The same green jasmine note. I agree with @LadyLoki that it's only extra for the first 30 min. I really like the olfactory journey though! 6.5/10 (I prefer the jasmine - drydown of the "eau so intense", though). Compared next to the "eau so intense": That one is way greener from the start, fresher, lighter, a bit sour with more intense green aromatic jasmine. The "eau so extra"'s banana is way denser, sweeter.

Man, I am SO SO let down by this! It smells so lovely in the opening, and it IS more bold than the intense, but the intense, while yes, doesn't LAST as long as I would like - this doesn't do anything really different. No EXTRA staying power, no EXTRA attention paid, and no real EXTRA intense notes. I'm so disappointed! I got lucky and grabbed it for $67 on Sephora's random sale on the 1 oz. SO while it isn't what I had hoped, I got it cheap enough, I will deal with it. But easily - out of the original, intense, and this - the intense is the BEST. More floral, but still has that warm nutty banana vibe, this could have been better with the chocolate daisy - but it's just falling short! Maybe my skin works better with some of the notes in the intense, but it really falls short here with the extra!

amazing chocolate banana pie, suuuper sweet and gourmand-y but not overly intoxicating, this one is not available at my country but I had the chance to sample this and its way more complex and heavy than the so intense flanker. So intense is more like a heavy white floral while this one is decidedly more gourmand but both follow the same "sweet" line, not sickly and stomach turning. Drydown on this one is by far the sugariest, if I had enough moolah id go for the intense version for sure (its like a modern carolina herrera but with banana instead of yellow florals and aldehydes)

This one is slightly thicker than last years edition. I like how the opening clearly has the chocolate and banana notes, and they give extra texture to the perfume. However, as it dries down, it unveils the Daisy Wild DNA, The jasmine is the same as in the other two Daisy Wild perfumes, slightly soapy, clean smelling - not sharp at all! It is a solid release, however I feel that it is not different enough from Eau So Intense. A sweet, saturated fragrance with a tropical nuance. The banana feels more green than gourmand, and together with a slightly indolic jasmine and chocolate, it creates a composition that is somewhat sticky, decidedly warm, and sensual. Even when it becomes slightly suffocating, it remains pleasant. Longevity lasts throughout the day, while the sillage stays strong for a long time. Even afterwards, the fragrance remains easily perceptible on fabric. It carries a sense of vacation joy, carefree ease, and exoticism. A pleasant experience.

i've found that many marc jacobs perfumes smell very similar. not this one. the initial banana's strength is a lie: on dry-down it becomes much richer and smoother, and towards the end of its lifespan it becomes a very floaty and light scent.it keeps the fresh motif of daisy but with a more mature taste that stays playful. if you're looking for something within the daisy concept but completely different from any other in the daisy collection, this is it.

In the opening, the chocolate note takes a slight back seat to the banana but they create a rounded bond, after about 15 minutes that top takes a back seat to the jasmine. Then in the dry down, the vanilla and woods helps to elevate the chocolate and banana again but one can still get the florals. It's medium sweet. It's a flormand. It's uplifting. It's very likeable.

Got to sample a little bit of this on myself at a shopping centre today, and i like it, its a tropical floral undercut with vetiver and a chocolate thats not too cloying, i kept finding myself sniffing my arm, especially as the vetiver notes started to further develop. However, the weak sillage and short longevity really made me disappointed with the fragrance.

Surprisingly, not much banana or chocolate. It’s similar to the other flankers—smells like bubble gum, very lively and juvenile. No longevity, but I’m giving it a 4 out of 5 for its youthful and mischievous character.

would’ve bought it if the chocolate and banana didn’t disappear within minutes :( i’m in love with the initial spray but the dry down just smells like generic floral perfume

Hmmm, this reminds me so much of the intense but without the addictive green quality I love so much. It's sweeter and if I try I can kinda smell chocolate? It doesn't last very well though, I could smell the intense on a dress I wore days ago but this straight up disappeared. The intense is still the only daisy I have ever loved enough to buy a full bottle.

To me this version is too sweet and heavy, the dark chocolate note is too far away from the original Daisy Wild whose magic is exactly the fresh, green, floral and clean meadow-like scent...
