Decadence Eau So Decadent

Mmmm so fresh. Thats prolly how an ancient Naiad would smell. This is like the Acqua Di Gioia of a mountain spring or a forest stream. Not aquatic but still refreshing, light, earthy & green. Smart move they took out the heavy sharp plum of the OG and replaced it with black currant which is what Police did for Police to Be Sweet Girl which reminds me of Rihanna's Rogue, they replaced plum with black currant and kept the manly medicinal cyclamen but resulting in a much lighter composition. So no plum, saffron or the smoky witchy orris of the Decadence so it is more fruity and I dont get any patchouli vibe here, because saffron always is abit earthy and sharp just like plum is(see Twilight Shimmer MK). Saffron gives the minty candy vibe of the Divine Decadence and the OG, but here we have the ivy instead, amazing green effect. The pear is not a fav note it is usually weirdly sour and salty on me like it is in Armani Code Turquoise, but here it is subtle and adds freshness. I love the entire Decadence line, despite the hate, the original and DD are still bold, unusual and sexy to me. Noooo pickle juice on me, thank God. They all work well with my chemistry. This is more along the lines of Jimmy Choo Exotic, they share a few notes, but this lacks patchouli, which makes it more approachable, carefree and fun. I still get that minty vibe from this one - all the Decadence perfumes share that familiar scent of minty candy, the old fashioned green candy I didnt like to taste when little lol. But this is more mellow, very uplifting, makes me wanna walk in a forest then dive in a pool. Im also a sucker for lily of the valley - the white flowers here keep it cheerful and feminine. I love unusual scents and this stands out. Ive tested it 4 times on my skin and the wind kept reminding me that I love it lol. Only downside it doesnt last as long. Bottle and design,simply gorgeous.

Marc Jacobs Decadence Eau So Decadent was a blind buy from TJ Maxx. I have heard the original and the flankers are great fragrances, and they do seem like ones I would enjoy based on the little bit of research I have done. I saw Decadence Eau So Decadent for $40 for a 100ml bottle and I decided to take a chance on it. I like it right away. First, the bottle is stunning. It's truly a work of art. I look forward to displaying this fragrance. Luckily though I enjoyed the juice inside just as much as the bottle. I got a burst of juicy, ripe pear and a fresh, green quality from the ivy. However, this fragrance is pretty much allllll the middle notes for a big portion of the wear time. The magnolia and lily-of-the-valley are the most prominent notes on my skin. The lemony tinge of the magnolia mixed with the pear is so yummy. The base notes are not as strong as I would have suspected, but they are there. The raspberry gives this fragrance some sweetness, the amber gives it some sensual warmth, and the cashmere wood balances everything else. This is truly a lovely fragrance. It's not the most nuanced or complex, at the end of the day it's a fresh fruity floral, but it smells really good and puts me in a good mood. I'm reminded of springtime, someone below mentioned Easter, and I have to agree. This is a very pleasant and nostalgic scent, which is what I like most about fragrance. Bottom line: $40 well spent! I'm going to happily add this fragrance to my spring rotation. Edit: The amber is really coming out now and it's so lovely!

I was gifted a decadent trio set last year by my family. This was my favourite automatically. It has dewy freshness. Lovely and airy. One problem. The sprayer was faulty out of all three. I’ve managed too solve the problem by soaking the spray cap overnight but it’s still a bit awkward. Anyway, this is the cleanest. Divine is warm and smooth. This is a cold feeling fragrance, maybe that’s why a previous commenter couldn’t connect with it but I like that about it. The original is voluptuous and dark. I am drawn to the fresh notes and I feel the ivy the most and I think I must like the pear and Lily of the valley too. The juicy fruity notes probably help give it a bit of body, the blackcurrants which I think I feel too. When I smelled diptyques Eau de Lierre in store which is an ivy fragrance I immediately was reminded of this. So people who like either one would I think probably like the other. I will most likely purchase Eau de Lierre when this runs out as I don’t think decadence and its flankers are in production anymore. Today is the first time I’m getting to wear this fully. I’ve only ever managed to have bits I’ve had on my fingers trying to press down. I was surprised I got it working. The other two fragrances I had on either wrist last night and were barely distinguishable within 2 hours so hope the longevity is better on this. This is ethereal almost, a smog of cold air whispers around you in a classic fairytale scene in secluded English overgrown gardens. Fresh with the smell of ivy vines and mystery.

I bought a 1 oz of this blindly and on impulse after finding it deeply discounted at Ross, and because of my love for the original Decadence. I was hoping for a lighter, more airy version I could wear in the upcoming warmer months. This is exactly what I wanted; I may even end up using it more than the original simply because this is more versatile and wearable for daytime. To me this is the opening of the original Decadence but with a ton of florals added, and more airy, sparkly, effervescent. Cleaner, while retaining the personality of the original. Florals can easily become boring to me and on my skin have the tendency to develop into an “old lady” scent or disappear entirely. I also tend to have trouble with pear and raspberry notes; something about them can tend to read skanky to my nose if done incorrectly. This, however, works flawlessly, likely because of the green notes freshening everything up a bit. It stays grounded with a strong base of white amber and cashmere, and I think that’s why the more flowery notes here work on my skin. I’m going to continue wearing it as a way of dipping my toes into more floral scents. The only issue for me is that this makes me sneeze like crazy, which I’ve never experienced with a perfume before. (I think it’s the magnolia, which always triggers my allergies horribly when I’m in the South.) I’m going to continue wearing it, though-I love it that much-and see if this effect goes away with continued use. If so, I’ll definitely be buying a full bottle.

Really fresh, but soft and a little bit sweet at the same time. Pear often goes a bit boozy to my nose, but this pear isn't overripe. A couple of minutes after spraying (both on skin and paper) it becomes absolutely delightful, smooth and happy. If I could grade this 4.5 stars I would. I find it to be an objectively great perfume, and whenever I wear it I'm surprised by how much I adore it, but for some reason I can't seem to form an emotional connection to this scent. I never reach for it because I never really find myself craving it. I would describe it as a fresh but still warm scent which is unusual and something that I should love, but it sadly leaves me a little bit cold. I've had a full size bottle for going on two years and I've only wore it a handful of times but every time I think that I should declutter it since I never wear it I try it on, feel enamoured, want to keep it and then keep on never using it. Lather, rinse, repeat. I'm really puzzled by this experience, I don't think I have another fragrance that I feel this way about.

The pain of falling in love with a discontinued scent. Lucky I was able to get a bottle but I started with a decant because I was intrigued by the notes. The opening is so fresh like walking barefoot on dew covered grass in the morning. The white florals are fresh too, in no way overpowering, it definitely adds dimension. No longer are you in the dewy green grass but a garden. The pear and black current gives a light sweetness from the beginning so the raspberry doesn’t feel out of place when it comes in with the amber. The raspberry amber is very sensual too me. I feel really seductive when it hits the base notes but still totally acceptable to wear on the day to day. So the full story would be woman sneaking out of the house in the morning barefoot through some fabulous green gardens to meet her secret lover. I get a similar vibe with Lalique’s Amethyst. ALSO A Marc Jacob’s fragrance that lasts?!? Yes! And develops throughout the day?!?! Yes! Why discontinue such a wonderful perfume?

I'm hooked! It got warmth, greenness, fruity creamy white florals. Everything goes well together. I'm not usually drawn to white floral perfumes, but I'm in love here, I was surprise. It's different from what I have in my collection. The performance could have been better. The longevity is fine, but the projection is average poor, it starts average then goes softer after 3-4 hours, but I can still sniff it 6-8 hours, after I only smell it on my skin. I sometimes reapply after 4-6 hours. I have a sample and I feel something would be missing if I don't have it in my collection, I'm thinking seriously about buying a bottle. The performance is meh, but I found it enjoyable enough to worth the splurge. I love the green lightness of the Eau So Decadent, I haven't try the original Decadence or the other flankers, but I'm curious. I'm rarely disappointed by Marc Jacobs perfumes, they have a dreamy charm, I just wish the dream last longer. Edit: I bought it!

Eau So Decadent is such a complex ride for me. When I first sprayed it, I said to myself, “Oh, jeez! Yet another white floral fragrance.” But, then it started to do something different as it dried down. The ivy gives it a pronounced greenness. Then, there’s this sweet-tart interplay between the black currant and the pear. Finally, it develops into a balsamic composition with an interesting base of cashmere, amber, and raspberry, of all things! This is a fragrance I don’t detect overtly, but which I get momentary whiffs of as my body moves. At one point my daughter came and sat next to me, and after about 15 minutes, she said, “I didn’t notice it at first, but you smell nice.” I initially was ready to write this selection off, but letting it sit on my skin has opened my nose to one of the most unique fragrances I own. So happy I took the risk to blind buy this.

Absolutely perfect for me. It smells like ripe fizzy pears, clean but not in the annoying 'fresh' type. More of a sweet freshness, like eating said pears in the shadow of an old walnut tree on a hot summer day. On my skin it doesn't stay for long, 2 hours max. No surprise here as nothing does except for the original Decadence which I passionately dislike. The good thing is that it rubs on clothes (scarves, collars, pillow) and those top notes linger oh so pleasantly for the whole day. It could work for night too but I have others more appropriate. My kids love the bottle and even make drawings of it, not to mention asking me to spritz on them too. A pity it's not rechargeable like Mugler's gorgeous Aura. The only inconvenient is the price, which even discounted is exaggerated, but even so I'm going to order another bottle to have at work and gym bag.

I swear, if you took out all the dark and dusty notes from Angel and only left the fruits and flowers it would smell exactly like this! I think it's the tart raspberry note that gives me that general vibe. As others have mentioned, I am a bit bummed out by the lack of longevity that this fragrance has. Maybe I just get noseblind to it. I love this scent so much and it's really not the type of fragrance that I gravitate towards, I'm usually a fan of dark, spicy and rich scents, deep Orientals. Nonetheless, I love this so much, and I think it comes in the cutest bottle known to man! I think this would be good as a blind buy or to give as a gift as I could see it being pleasing to a lot of people. I'm enjoying it now, in the dead of winter, it's a breath of fresh summer air.

I own both the original MJ Decadence and this flanker. If you like Decadence, you will like Eau So Decadent as well! Decadence is definitely a cold weather frangrance, definitely evening only. It’s dark and sexy. Eau So Decadent is the spring/summer option in the line and I LIVE that I own both now! I can literally wear something from the Decadence line all year round. Grab a sample and try it for a couple days during warm weather and see what you think! It’s doesn’t last long, usually I can’t make it past lunch/early afternoon, so you may have to re-spray.

I really enjoy this perfume in the heat of Summer. It’s a very light, slightly fruity slightly floral, green, refreshing scent on my skin. It’s not mind blowing but pleasant in a gentle way. This fades quickly though, and it’s not a strong scent, but in the humid days of Summer I’d rather it not be anyway. All in all, I wear it as a day to day fragrance, which I enjoy. Edit: I have been wearing this all Summer and I absolutely am in love! I wish this were still in production. It is lightly sweet, a bit green, very soft. So beautiful!

Honestly I had very low expectations of this as I got a tester with an online order. But now after having tried it a couple of times, I have to admit that I'm absolutely in love with it. I can't get enough, and I keep thinking about it when not wearing it. It's beautiful. The perfect balance between fresh and sweet. It's dreamy, warm, creamy, sweet, sparkling and almost "edible"! I love the green aspect from the lily of the valley and ivy together. This is elegant, cozy, uplifting, sensual, clean and casual at the same time.

I love this better than the original Decadence. It smells so nice on me! There's no tea notes listed here, but on my skin I got this sweet, soft, a lil bit bitter tea aroma. I'm obsessed by this one! The only problem for me is this perfume doesn't last that long since it's EDT. But that's okay, I can always reapply this pretty perfume throughout the day. I even ordered my second bottle already as a backup when I heard that Decadence line had been discontinued.

My second favorite from the trio. Also not as similar to those two. The colors I associate with it are green, white and peary orange. Actually its also fairly soapy, but in the very best way. I usually dont like this note, but here it plays well with the rest. Light, fresh, interesting. Lasting power for EDT is alright, you can smell it after few hours. A love from me. (Today I layered it with Narcotic V and it's absolutely divine together.)

In general, I don't tend to be attracted to perfumes with PEAR... even so, there out are some precious exceptions... On my skin it is a mixture of green, floral, and refreshing accords that are cheerful and even extroverted, an ideal scent to use in a super hot summer, being able to be used to be at home and have a day of total relax as well as for a date or go to a club to have fun.

Uh. This is GOOD. I had decadence and let it go cause it was so stuffy and masculine and a bit bitter. This. However. Wow. Pretty floral sweet and juicy! So yummy and fragrant. The pear is the star! Mixed with musk and the biting green ivy. Fresh fruity and green ozonic. And. This bottle and “bag” are much cuter. Love the frosted bottle.

I just got this. I simply love it. I love Decadence and I always wanted to wear it in the day time- much to other people's chagrin. This is a lighter fresher version that you can wear to work. The Bulgarian rose plum and jasmine are still there - just lighter and more fresh. You will not be disappointed if you try this.

It ́s completely different from decadence and divine and you cant compare them because the purpose are different, here the idea is a delicious summer/spring scent for the day time or very not nights. I think it smells a bit similar to Lancome Miracle Blossom even though i dont find any common notes. It ́s yuuuuuumiiiiii

can someone do a recommendation for me please? I'm torn between blind purchasing Divine Decadence or Eau so Decadent...which one is stronger with a better longevity? i already own the original and like it. but wanted also a flanker since i love the bottle. any recommendations from ppl who own/know both of them? 🤔🤓

i don’t usually like pear notes, but this is such a lovely blend of fruit, freshness and white florals. it’s green and aquatic but to me it works as a night out scent too bc of the florals. i don’t smell the fast food/condiment smells other people are smelling, it’s truly lovely.

I just received this fragrance in the mail and instantly LOVED it. It's a happy, sweet, fruity floral that instantly takes me to Springtime! I love the bottle and cap. This scent feels like it carries the promise of warmer and sunnier days and it just makes me super happy!

Wonderful flanker of the original Decadence which I really love, Eau So Decadent is sweeter but not in a sickly way, the green notes makes it a bit fresher. It's so different than the original, this is edible sweet while the original is powdery sweet. I adore both!!...

If Decadence is too "mature" for you, this is a good alternative. It's beautiful. Smells similar to Aqua di gioia, but less bright. I know it says fruity floral, but it's so unique. Unlike most other perfumes on the shelves at ULTA. Beautiful and interesting.

Creamy, green, sweet florals but not too sweet. Light amber touch. Fresh and clean! Very feminine! Love it!

Muchhh lighter, more floral and fruity version of Decadence. Unfortunately, the OG wasn’t so dreamy on my skin. I definitely felt that dreaded pickle note on my skin, and the drydown wasn’t spectacular either. But this is the safer option for me, and much more spring/daytime friendly. Yessss it does have a slightly pickle undertone to it, especially in the opening, but nowhere near as bad as the og. It dries down pretty quickly and becomes this ultra fresh lily of the valley and magnolia pear cocktail. Like strolling through a garden in the springtime just when the flowers have all bloomed, while eating a juicy pear. I don’t get any black currant in this, and I get a slight hint of ivy which is nice and unique. Gives it a more green vibe, but more so in the drydown. This is a true Marc Jacobs fragrance, lighthearted, inoffensive, and office friendly. But I much prefer this to the Daisy flankers as it smells like realistic flowers instead of ultra-soapy flowers. Yeah, in the end this really isn’t anything like og decadence. This is a good thing for me, though. If you prefer a deeper scent with gooey plum compote and sexier notes, you’re better off with the OG. This is just floral and springtime, which can hit the spot when the time is right :) love lily of the valley, so I appreciate this

I got this perfume a few years ago as a Christmas present. I had asked for the original Decadence, but my mum thought it was too mature for my 14 year old self, so she opted to get this one for me instead. I will say even though I appreciate this version, I much prefer the original Decadence. This one is quite a bright, fruity day perfume, and I usually find the longevity on this one is quite poor, and there's very little trail. The scent is youthful and uplifting, but simply not what I was looking for; I always prefer my perfumes to leave an impression rather than just being 'cute', which is usually how I feel wearing this one. If you're looking for a fresh day perfume, Eau So Decadent is a great contender, but I for sure wouldn't consider this a powerful night perfume to wear on a night out.

I like this way better than the original decadence. It was super strong for me. This one is lighter and sweeter and a bit more airy. My decadence bottle broke when my son picked it up by the chain, it fell on his foot and then the floor, it was awful, he got a pretty bad boo boo lol. My grandma found out about it and gifted me this instead of the original My bf got me. I get lots of compliments with this! Just like with the original, I use this with a bath and body works spray, anything I'm feeling at the moment. It's a lovely spray for feeling expensive and going out or having an intimate date night. It's not my usual but I actually like that bc I can save it for special occasions! It's unexpected and sophisticated. I really love having this in my collection.

I tried a tester of this today. I have both Decadence and Divine Decadence. I find those two quite different but this new Eau So Decadent to my nose is very similar to the original. I would have thought I was wearing Decadence when I first sprayed it on. Decadence has a unique scent that you can pick out in a crowd of other fragrances. After a couple hours I had to try the original on with this one and going between the two, I think the Eau So Decadent came off lighter and maybe a bit sweeter, and I do find the original very sweet. But I still thought they were otherwise very similar, too much so to have both in my collection. Performance was very good. Even after washing with soap, I could still get the scent clearly.

Why does this have to be so weak? I know most edts are "lighter" but still. I actually love the scent. It is the complete opposite of the original "decadence" (which I also love). "Decadence" is a powerful woody perfume with lots of plum, spice and attitude in it. This version though is light, fresh, delicate. It is fresh pear mixed with white florals and some green/fruity notes. You actually feel like a little forest fairy when you wear this..but only for 30 minutes, 'cause then the magic is gone. I strongly believe marc jacobs should release a stronger version of this because the scent itself is so good. It's a shame.

Caution do not spray with a heavy hand - go lightly until you have right amount for your chemistry. I went heavy on one wrist and light on the other. Both smelled quite different - I preferred the lighter touch with gentle garden-like wafts of sweet delicate floral notes & fresh green scents. The heavier sprayed wrist smelled predominately of just creamy/sharp lily and was cloying and too strong! pretty - creamy - lily - green - fresh - sweet Very nice. Thanks again!

Suprised that this one doesn't have a plum note. This is a more fruity and youthful version of decadence. However, because of this, the scent isn't as interesting which is disappointing as it had so much potential after the OG! This doesn't last as long on me compared to the OG but is a great spritz on fragrance when you don't have time to coordinate anything and wanting to rush out the door. The packaging is a bonus and always gets me! After finishing these, I'll be keeping the bottles for display since its discontinued and I can't get it easily anymore!

I agree with other reviewers, it's different from the original Decadence. It's a fresh floral scent, green, creamy, fruity but not too sweet. It has something for everything in balance. I call it a fresh after a long pampering bath kind of smell. A very easy wear for lazy Sunday or just a walk in a park. It is market for a different type of women - a very professional, serious, know-what-she-wants kind of women who want to take a break from her busy life. Moderate longevity, close to skin silage. I would suggest this for day wear during Spring and Summer.

I have both the original Decadence and this one Eau so decadent. I bought this because I wanted something more spring summer and daytime than the original. This initially gives me a botanical gin vibe, maybe it's the mix of the tart blackcurrant and the watery white flowers. The amber gives it a soft warm quality but overall this is a light floral aquatic. I think this is worth trying if you don't like Decadence or if you want a summer scent, as it has a very different feeling to the original. I love the original and I like this flanker.

I accidentally bought this thinking it was the original Decadence, and was immediately let down when I saw that it wasn't... until I tried it. It's nothing similar to the original that I can remember, but it is very lovely all on it's own. It's refreshing, light, very good for the spring or summer. Very well balanced, only lightly sweet and mildly cooling. It's a very simple, but well done, relaxing fragrance. Pleasantly surprised. 6.5/10 (Also I absolutely adore the bottle and cap, I think it's very high quality, unique and beautiful)

Upon the initial scent, I could easily discern its familial connection to Decadence, yet with a softer, sweeter, and slightly fresher character. It includes ivy, a note I am encountering for the first time in a perfume, which seemingly imparts a cool sensation. Additionally, it contains pear, blackcurrant, and magnolia. While Decadence is intensely sweet due to plum, this version offers a gentler sweetness attributed to the pear. I am thoroughly pleased with my acquisition, and it beautifully enhances my collection.

This was a blind buy from Marshall’s and I’m not upset with it but it is pretty middle ground for me. It’s nice to have in my lineup when I’m feeling something extremely white floral because that’s all it is, an absolute white floral party. Silage and longevity are both moderate and I’m fine with it. I do not get the pickle scent people talk about whatsoever, just white floral from beginning to end, and I could see others being offended by this one if they’re sensitive to scents.

Blind bought after finding it on sale at a Marshall's and seeing it all over TikTok. It smells so much like Easter lilies, I got teary-eyed upon first sniff (in a good, thinking-of-my-childhood way!) Extremely nostalgic, very strong lily and magnolia, with a lingering, fruity tartness. Great lasting power. I don't get any tea or tobacco, like others claim, but I do see the champagne similarities (though I also haven't smelled any of the others from the collection.)

Sweet, pleasant, feminine, deff get an up front pear note dancing around white florals. Cleaner then it's sister predecessor better suited for spring/ summer even into early fall. Also get a very reminiscent smell of Acqua di Gio womens only slightly more fruitier, overall not a bad scent. Deff worth a look into if you absolutely love the decadence bottle, but find the original to be too much for ya.

stil retains a champagne smell from the original decadent, even though it doesn't list champagne as a fragrance note. like moscato, bitter sweet champagne smell is what i smell the most, along with the blackcurrant supplying the dark berry smell. i also smell the middle notes. drydown is when you get the fruitiness the most. sparkly and not too dark fragrance, great for night out on the town.

It's *not* better than the original in my opinion. It is a light version. I'm not sure if I'm a fan of the pear plus raspberry combination just yet but it does give a lighter air to the fragrance. My favorite part so far is the lovely floral dry down with the amber and cashmere accord. Pretty. I'd say try a sample first.

This is an easy, breezy, fun fruity-floral. I don't get the pickle note, it's quite safe and uplifting. It didn't trigger huge emotions or reactions in me, so it's quite an easy and practical scent, without a huge personality, but nice for a walk, errands or for a quick pick me up. Sillage and longevity are moderate.

I haven't tried any of the other fragrances from the Decadence line, so I can't compare, but I really like this one. Sweet pear, fresh lily-of-the-valley and lush magnolia make a lovely combination. This is a perfect day time scent. Fun and feminine!

This is the best Decadence so far, a light and fresh scent. I sense green notes, pear, jasmine and magnolia. So many new releases and flankers, but there's something for everyone. My favorite from Marc Jacobs so far.

Although this is long lasting on my skin it sits very close, occasionally I will get hints. I don't get individual notes, I describe it as green wet floral then slightly fruity and sweet.

I agree with the review below that says this could be headache inducing but I enjoy the scent. To me it smells like a walk in the park. Why this wasn't released in spring I have no idea.

Fresh, nice raspberry & lily-of-the-valley scent with amber and cashmere drydown. The best of Decadence line so far. Alluring and truly interesting.

I get a beautiful and light tea scent. It is very refreshing.
