Divine Decadence

When first applied on my skin the scent is quite sharp and has detectable lime, jasmine and orange blossom notes which makes it sound like a citrus-floral scent. After the first 15 minutes right after application in which top notes are dominant Divine Decadence becomes milder and I clearly detect intriguing champagne note which I simply adore! Fine, thirsty sweetness that is not alcoholic, slightly tickling the nostrils, incredibly atypical and different.Champagne is combined with juicy prune jam, which although not present in the composition is clearly recognizable on my skin and the aroma is exactly a combination of champagne and plum jam. Acting as background but detectable enough I get strong, thick and creamy white florals: gardenia, jasmine and honeysuckle, which aren’t sharp, retro or causing headache, because in combination with champagne and plum jam they got softer and the result is really feminine, incredibly sexy and tempting, seductive scent. I can describe the scent as mainly linear – after the initial sharp and citrus spritz the scent is combination of champagne and plum jam on a suspicion of creamy gardenia, jasmine and honeysuckle. In this linear appearance Divine Decadence stays on my skin from the first hour after spraying up to the very base (~5-6 hours after application) and the base itself is, in fact, quite white floral-ish and woody with a bit of vanilla. In the base I register amber, saffron, sandalwood and a tiny bit of vanilla which I honestly can’t stand but here is a tiny bit and it doesn’t bother me. As I mentioned this scent doesn’t have 180-degree development and for me is quite linear scent that consists of champagne, prune jam and a lot of white, soft and creamy white floral notes as this composition forms this incredible feminine, sexy and sultry scent.For my perception this scent is suitable for any season – I’ve worn it in the winter, spring, summer and now I am wearing it in the autumn and I can’t categorize it as suitable for just 1 season. As I said upon composition is quite linear so I don’t think in the different seasons it will come up as differently. Decadence Divine for me is a bit more night scent than a daily one. I owe this perception mainly to the fact that this scent is extremely detectable and present and has amazing longevity (even with 1 single spritz), it always get noticed by the people around, plus it is so sexy that I find it more suitable paired with night look: bold makeup, stylish dress, high heels and fragrant cloud Decadence Divine. I always, always receive compliments whenever wearing it - men love it;) Longevity is basically endless on my skin - straight 12 hours!

This is indeed addictive. I went to the Bay to get the new Chanel 5 l'eau but they won't sell it till tomorrow. I had no intentions in buying anything else and certainly not a green purse bottle that in my opinion is very tacky ! It actually sort of stopped me from buying the first version ,which i liked but something I wasn't sure about ,,,could have been the bottle lol Decadence is suppose to be one of MJ first grown up scents and it does smell richer and classier than the girly Daisy or some others of his. The iris and saffron along with the amber ,,,,makes this scent more grown up than I expected. Rich and sophisticated. Sexy! ( both versions ) Devine decadence however was an instant like for me , the sales lady sprayed it along with some others as she always wants me to try some of the new releases to see what I think. I was very drawn to divine and I decided within a few minutes that I had to have it. It's indeed a very grown up smell for Marc Jacobs. Is is quite sweet as they fail to mention here on the side line. I love that about it. It's fresh and sweet and luminous. It's has the dense feel of iris ( saffron is in the iris family , crocus ) it has a slightly leathery vibe which is sweetened by the vanilla honeysuckle and gardenia , and freshened by the champagne and hortensia. This reminds me of Byredos black saffron , like a sweet leather scent. However Divine is more wearable and more gourmand ,sweeter and at the moment more pleasant to me than black saffron ,which can be of putting to some as it has a tobacco vibe and a masculine note in it. Update , like another review already said it's a warm iris perfume with vanilla and some freshness due to the champagne and flowers. It's really addictive and now part of my top shelf.

The moment I smelled this I was smitten ! There was something in this perfume that reminded me of my childhood spent in Europe. The bottle, sexy and visually stunning, somehow doesn't match the scent. The tester I tried at Hudson Bay lingered for hours. I tried to pinpoint it in my memory, hanging on to a scent that later turned softer, delicately gourmand and vanilic. And then it hit me : elder flowers ! In Europe we used to make a bubbly drink from these flowers, it was mixed with lemon ( which Divine Decadence doesn't have ) , but the floral aroma and the acidulated sweet bubbles dominated that scent. I was in love. Elder flowers, a hint of saffron, vanilla, such an unusual , fresh , flowery and comforting scent. I had to have it. I have to mention that, while I have hortensias in my garden, I don't know what they smell like, because mine don't have a scent.... The bottle is stunning, but there isn't anything truly decadent or sexy in this scent. It is simply beautiful . The silage and lasting power are good . I tired the original Decadence , just because of the bottle, but I didn't like it... it just wasn't refined enough , it had an opulence a bit vulgar . This, on the other has, has finesse. It has class, and uniqueness. I am puzzled by all the dislkes and negative reviews. A real beauty with a very uncommon note as the primadonna !

Damn! Now I have too many good florals to choose from. Never one to be restricted by the gender assignments of marketing departments, I recently sprung for a batch of twenty samples of Divine Decadence EDP. I've enjoyed testing this perfume on occasion so there was little risk in taking the plunge. Now that I own it and can enjoy it at leisure, I'm even more taken by its development and performance. I'm not a florals over vanilla lover in general, but this recipe adds intriguing fruit and greenery notes in a way that renders the composition appealing to me as a male, rather than overly sweet or stereotypically 'feminine.' I find the dark caramel/vanilla heart of this fragrance at times surprisingly similar to that of Black Opium and Tobacco Vanille, though not nearly so dense or durable. If I have any complaints, they would be the lack of grounding wood in the dry down, and the prominence of ISO-E or a similar synthetic aldehyde that seems generic. A bit of leather, sandalwood, or Oud would not go amiss in the bottom of this mix, but that's easily remedied with layering. The samples I have should last a while, but I may go ahead and pop for a bottle, just in case MJ decides to change the formula on us.

I just bought this. I don't have the wallet for perfume this expensive, but I bought it anyway. I was always one for falling head over heels after a three day affair. What a beautiful perfume. I fell for the original last year, but wanted to wait. Now I know why! I thought it was the plum in Decadence that hooked me, but I'm realizing it was the saffron. Divine Decadence is a sweet,white floral that plays out in an interesting way. You get that blast of saffron that reminds you of the original, followed quickly by sweet, sweet champagne and honeysuckle. Suddenly I could smell the gardenia, then the vanilla and the amber. This is a lot less heady than the original, and because it's lacking the orris root, isn't a powdery affair. The drydown is quick - which isn't necessarily a bad thing, because it prevents this from becoming a headache inducing sugar bomb. Where Decadence gets woody, DD dries down into a sweet white amber. I'm 33 and I don't feel like I'm wearing something too young, but I don't care what anyone else thinks. I feel sparkly and happy when I wear this. It reminds me of spring and of Easter.

I have both Decadence and Divine Decadence. It's not just a lighter version, I don't see much similarity at all. The champagne lifts it up and the amber and vanilla pull it back down. It begins with citrus and then develops into white florals. This a perfect summertime fragrance. It's still there the next morning with a warm vanilla. Try a tester on your skin before buying to get the true scent you're going home with. On a paper test strip it smelled quite a bit different. The bottle is unique and it doesn't feel cheap in any way. I recently received a compliment while out shopping. The lady was nearby me and asked what perfume I was wearing, repeating and making sure she got the name right because I think she was going to go look for it for herself. She commented that it smelled so clean. I hadn't thought that about Divine Decadence before but you know, it kind of does have a clean smell to it.

If you like it, you better stock up, because it's definitely disappearing from the shops. At least here in Czech Republic it's mostly gone. I find this to be a lot better than the original, the champagne note is delicious 🤤 I wear this fragrance from May to June so I'm really in the mood right now 😌 I'm just sad that mine has gone very dark lately, even though I think it might be a little stronger and longer lasting now (vanilla ages well, like a wine 😁 ) I'm going to buy a new bottle to have a fresh one, and I will keep the new one in the box so it won't get dark as the first one ☝️ Also I'm not a big fan of the bottle, the top part is so robust and it looks a little bit cheap. I prefer glass on perfumes. For example Armani Sì intense (the old black one) is a glass masterpiece, I keep empty bottle in my collection 🥰 this one I'm considering keeping without the top 🙈

Oh my goodness, I walked passed this lovely perfume for 7 months now, what yes I did !! I finally picked it up at TJMAXX highly discounted and wished I bought them all for I'm in love this beautiful, lovely scented perfume. The Champagne, warm floral, and lightly fruity scented notes are a intoxicating opening, to me like a first love. This perfume slowly develops in a lovely white floral boutique, like the opening of spring & summer flower gardens with a ending dry down of rich vanilla with a amber backdrop. It has a very good sillage with a very long lasting scent of over 8 hours for me. This is a man pleaser that works very good in this cold weather but I will wear it all year around , day or night it works for both. I suggest it as a perfect date night perfume. The bottle is alot of fun and so cute to display on your shelf. Makes me feel and smell so yummy good.

Sadly this is now discontinued. I’m not sure what Marc Jacobs was thinking but I’m good cause I got 2 full size bottles of it. Now this scent is very unique compared to other mass market designer scents for women. I absolutely love it! On my skin I get a lot of the plum, rose, vetiver and papyrus and a hint of sweetness. I normally don’t like green scents but this is an exception. It is amazing! It is very potent and punches you in the face upon the initial blast. It lasts and lasts and lasts on the skin. I get over 10 hours easily on my skin and on some days even 12 hours!! Sillage is also very heavy for the first 3* hours and doesnt become a skin scent until like the 8th hour mark but u can still easily smell it. A fantastic scent in my opinion. Get it now before stock runs out!!

I am captivated by what is one of the most delicious scents I've smelled. If Lush's All Good Things didn't convince me that I'm forever drawn to the strange conglomerations of contradiction, this fragrance put the nail in the proverbial coffin. I love scents that are everything they are not supposed to be. I love strange combinations of notes that smell sort of like my fingers after decanting. I really enjoy the original, but for me, this one is fresher and more versatile. The saffron stays strong with the vanilla and bubbly, and it is positively effervescent! Granted, this is not for everyone, and that's exactly why I love it! You must be a little quirky and be able to appreciate quirky and beautiful fragrances.

I haven't tried the original but I bought this on impulse today in the UK after an obliging SA covered my entire arm in it, and the name is perfect for me! it is delicious; I don't really like gourmands, or Angel, or fruit, but this has a happy, warm, uplifting sweet floral-orange effervescence - and the gardenia, champagne and liquid amber persist, with just enough vanilla to hold it all together.Not sure about the green snakeskin bottle top tassel thing, I would prefer this on Absinthe, but I have given it its own display niche. Moderately good longevity and strength, and smells like the most delicious cocktail ever, sipped by a dangerously beautiful dark girl in green velvet....

This perfume is so pretty! I got a 3.4 oz bottle for $32 at Marshalls, and I’m super happy about it. I definitely get that champagne note and those flowers. The scent does get sweeter the longer it’s worn—probably because of the vanilla? Either way, I don’t mind that, although the champagne+flowers combo is my favorite part about the fragrance. Overall, when I smell this, I imagine I’m out with friends. We’re sipping champagne, and there’s a gorgeous bouquet of flowers at our table. It’s just such a happy smell; I don’t see how anyone could hate this unless they absolutely despise florals. If you see it at a good price, I’d highly recommend picking it up.

I bought a rollerball on sale in TJMaxxx...( I am going to go broke in there, they have a sudden influx of designer fumes:D&G,Kenzo, Bvlgari, Balenciaga, Gucci.. oh my)On me the smell of plums? radiates while not listed in the notes, I get a. bright plummy scent warmed by saffron and some citrus, the champagne stays fizzy and a distinct hortensia note in theheart .I never really get a true vanilla smell, but a vanillic and white floral sweetness definitely..Wore to brunch on Sunday was complimented 3x..I said it was Marc Jacobs, I could not remember which one..lol. LiEs I know but alas...they won't understand my non gender conformation in scents.

I catch the champagne the most and I really like it. Sometimes I have days when I don’t appreciate this perfume very much, but other days I absolutely love it. I originally sold it to my friend who really liked it, but after few weeks she told me that something changed and she just doesn’t like it anymore, and I actually quite the opposite missed it and wanted it back. So I traded it back for something else and I’m really happy I have it again. Now I know better, not to give it away if I don’t like for some time, because I know I will like it again. Does this make any sense? 😂

This fragrance is very nice but is nothing like Decadence original. The only similarity is the bottle which is adorable. This is a lighter floral and the composition is again great. I was surprised to see how many thought Decadence and Divine Decadence were similar but they are completely different REALLY! This is a floral scent and is complex and lovely but not earthy or woody at all like its big sister. If you like the floral better, this one is a better choice. The other is deep, woody and a fall or winter gem. This one is spring and summer and a floral delight.

This one is really nice! It's warm, creamy, soft floral with a fair amount of vanilla. It's quite sweet. I get mostly vanilla, honeysuckle, hortensia and saffron, but the amber is there too, radiating beautifully. Also the sparkly champagne lasts throughout, brightening the composition up a bit! Please give this perfume time to settle on your skin before judging it. Another love for me. This one and the new Eau So Decadent is very similar, but this one is a tiny bit more "round" and the last one is more green with a tad bit more freshness.

A pleasant surprize. A soft and a bit sweet Saffron mixed with champagne and amber and an airy Gardenia floating around.Not supersweet - so maybe this will be a scent for the grown up woman more than the teenager. So if you are in to Saffron/amber-mixes - try this one. En härlig överraskning. En mjuk och lite söt Saffran möter Champagne och amber och omsluts av en luftig och lätt Gardenia. Inte supersöt doft - så kanske är detta en doft mer för kvinnan än för den unga tjejen. gillar man Saffran/amber-mixer så bör man testa denna.

As the moment of writing this is a new favorite. It's a sweet powdery floral that I just can't stop sniffing. I like it better than the original where the wood notes cut into the powdery sweetness that I so desired. That doesn't happen at all in this one, you get that light but present sweetness all the way down. It's also not a surprise that I like this scent considering that my nose can pick out and draw me towards a white floral before I even realize it's present in a perfume, this is one of those instances.

Everyone is going to think I’m crazy, but in a strange, odd way, this perfume smells like Yardley lipstick! Yardley lipsticks have a very distinct, strong scent and in most cases, if you store them properly they will stay fresh for decades. I have my lipstick I purchased in 1967 and it still smells fresh! Well, Divine Decadence smells just like Yardley! Not close up, but I will be wearing it and every so often I get a distant whiff and **poof** I think Yardley. So needless to say, I LOVE this perfume!

This is one of my favourite fragrances from Marc Jacobs I classic oriental with champagne❤️ Smells divine for any time of the year I picked up a 50ml back in July as I haven’t used it very much but now Marc Jacobs has discontinued his fragrance line and beauty sadly it’s such a shame with his gorgeous fragrances i picked up two more from his line but i will get another one as i sad it won’t be available anymore go get his fragrances before they are all gone forever 🥲

This is one of the few florals I enjoy. It's a creamy, saffron-white floral. It has personality but is still a crowd pleaser. Safe for day if not oversprayed. The overall vibe is luxurious, effervescent, and lady-like. I am addicted to the saffron note, and it makes this formula memorable. Also good for thoses who don't do patch, as it is patch-free. Moderate sillage and longevity. A go-to pleaser for daytime in all seasons except summer.

Divine Decadence is an effervescent champagne, sweet floral with amber or ambroxan. I get an accent of fresh dill as well, but that might be the saffron (?). Sweetness comes from the vanilla. A fresh, light green, herbaceous fragrance for spring-summer weather. Like Decadence, Divine Decadence was love at first sniff for me. Some men may want to try this for themselves, could be amazing for a tropical vacation.

After reading so many reviews about dill scent in this perfume I was delaying to buy this fragrance. But this is such a beautiful handbag-style bottle and I decided on blind purchase. Wow! It's so wonderful! No dill! I can smell banana, saffron and very real champagne. Longevity and sillage are great! I can smell it all day long. Pity, it was discontinued. It's very worthy fragrance.

The first spray... just awful, I thought it’s the worst smell, pickles with some white flowers rotten and sour... but after few minutes I love it, flowery, fresh, sweet and elegant, glazed with honey, for me is a spring scent but I will wear it whenever I will want because it is really special and beautiful, if you can accept its beginning

I love this gem. I smell a lot of sweet champagne. It's different and delightful, not run of the mill. It really stands out in today's market flooded with sultry candy/caramel scents. I'd buy it again. Alas, it has already been discontinued. eBay will help me! And so it was. I found a full bottle at a good price. Happy me.

Not usual smell, very unique. Not heavy. The sense after hours is better&softer than the first smell. It's not one of the recognizable perfumes that you smell everyday. It does not fill the room but you can smell an expensive soft perfume when you come close. ❤️ I have it one year! I use it almost every day!

This is delicious. Vanilla and amber, lovely edible notes and could be unisex IMHO. It is a cosy perfume but it posessss a cool vibe. The metallic note of saffron is noticeable and really lovely. This is a smooth and wearable scent and for me it's a winner.

Less refined, younger and less mature, less sofisticated version of the original. I still like it, it doesnt mean its worse. Just fresher and lighter. Half of the notes are different, but they are still quite similar. The bottles have me half sold.

I swear something is different with my nose because the only note my nose catches is tamarind. It’s a sourly sweet fragrance to me and I obsess over it. This is one of my top fragrances. No dill pickle whatsoever and I am a pickle lover!

This smells like straight up tamarindo candy on me, and I love that lol... My family doesn't like me wearing it, but I don't care, I keep coming back to it. It is so beautiful, sweet-tangy, unique <3 It's a love for me!

Imo this one was a hidden gem! Boozy & almost syrupy sweet combo of champagne, saffron & vanilla backed by light florals. Good longevity/projection & really nice bottle

I got it in an online store, much cheaper than it cost in its time of glory, I used it on my birthday (it was my self-gift 😉) to begin with, I would say that it has a fairly high sillage and wide projection, at least , during the first 2 hours, then its projection softens until it becomes moderate almost until the end, only descending to the root of the skin for the last 15 to 20 minutes before disappearing. Regarding its aroma, I must say that it is simply wonderful 🥰🥰🥰 It is literally impossible to go unnoticed with this fantastic and unfortunately discontinued perfume, a true tragedy. On my skin, it opens with that beautiful and powerful note of honeysuckle, sweet, something green and fresh that can be confused with "banana smell🍌", this accord is present throughout the life of the perfume without disappearing, it only varies its intensity, but it is always there. Little by little it makes way for the effervescent note of champagne that arrives well mixed with the orange blossom, adding elegance to the whole, followed by the delicious bergamot, which here is reducing the alcoholic touch of the champagne, diverting the aroma towards a much more intense tone. more refreshing, cheerful and festive, after delighting you with its elegant touch it begins to move away step by step, thus giving way to the next set, totally floral but without losing its elegant point, appearing the wonderful gardenia and the shy hydrangea, wrapped in a silky veil of sweet vanilla, in the dry down, calm comes with the presence of an amber well embraced by saffron, but never abandoned by the golden touch of vanilla. It seems (to me) to be an elegant and festive perfume, at the same time it is jovial but in a more mature sense, not so young twenty-something, nor pink princess, but more suitable for a young lady (still) who seeks the balance between elegant sobriety and extroverted joy.

I honestly am not able to see what many people don't like about this perfume - to me this smells really goodt! It's sweet and rich, classy and sophisticated, while still being not heavy (lighter notes than the original decadence- which I do also really like btw; however with better performance). The notes are very well blended that I cannot detect them apart very well. However, if I try, I do notice a rose note (which is not mentioned in the reviews nor in the notes above). Kind of like Turkish delight actually, but not in a heavy way? I also do smell a light vanilla, with a bit of the saffron. This perfume smells uniform to me from initial spray to the final stages of the dry down. It was love at first sniff, but considering that many people don't like it, I believe you would need to test it before you buy to avoid potential disappointment (although there wasn't any for me). As for the performance, it's on beast mode. I sprayed it in my room before I left the house, and when I came back my sister told me she could smell the perfume from another room (even though I did not walk past it before I left the house). This perfume has the strongest performance out of ALL the perfumes I've ever tried (and I've tried quite a lot of strong ones). I know that this is such a big claim to make, but I find that this perfume is deserving of it, as nothing beats its sillage and longevity! This is worth a try if you like the original decadence - you might even like this one more.

Hubby made me go on a jaunt up the freeway with him for a work related meeting as he wanted company for the long drive. I agreed, only if we could go perfume sniffing afterward (I live in a small town with a very pathetic selection). So there I was in the department store sniffing the new release Chanels and Guerlains and all of a sudden *psssshhhtt!!!!* from behind me. I spun around quickly and there he was, my husband with the girly emerald colored purse in his hands with a sheepish grin on his face. "Sorry, I just wanted to smell this on you for the rest of the day," he said as I came to realize he had squirted a hefty dose on the back of my bare shoulder (I was wearing a sleevless blouse). Vanilla followed me for the rest of the day. Vanilla, and more vanilla. I'm not really a fan of vanilla in my perfume and was annoyed that I had to wear this for the rest of the day. It was kind of cute though and sneaky of him. I felt like going back to the counter and firing back at hubby with a dose of Chanel No. 5 and starting a perfume war. But he probably would have liked that. He likes the classics... and vanilla. Unfortunately, I can't say that I had a good enough sniff of Divine Decadence to leave a comprehensive review as I couldn't make my nose reach my shoulder blade. But I did get a pretty good trail of a non-heavy, softly spiced vanilla and amber, and my husband gorging on my shoulder for the rest of the day.

I really wanted to like this fragrance, but this will be a NO for me. I just can't get around the fact that it smells like PEZ candies. And after awhile it becomes Cloying. Update 12/25/20. Ok I gave this another try and it is rather chilly out. And I must say, this REALLY is NICE! It's like an entirely different scent than what I was getting in the warmer months.The saffron mixes beautifully with the vanilla. And the florals are ever so delicate in this. And I must admit this is not like any other perfume I've tried before. The longevity is great I can go a full 8 hours without reapplying. And since my husband enjoys this on me, to the point that he went and surprise purchased a FULL SIZED bottle, (I only had the rollerball upon writing the first review) It will have to be a keeper for me. Recommend cool weather and daytime use as with warmer weather still gives me same vibes as earlier post. I don't understand where others are referencing dill pickle though? I get none of that.

I know this has been discontinued, but I’m going to review the sample I received forever ago. Divine Decadence isn’t a fragrance I’m drawn to, but I’m not repelled by it. It’s got an interesting profile that starts a little strong, but not offensively so. It reminds me a little of the 90s. I don’t get the champagne note. It's the florals that stand out, with something distinct that I can’t name. I’m thinking it’s the saffron because it’s a little spicy. It also gets a little powdery as it dries down, something I notice in several MJ fragrances, mixed with the amber. The amber is distinctly ambroxan on my skin, but light, and I like it. At first spray, it’s strong but quickly shifts to something balanced, with an interesting spiciness that makes the fragrance distinct. I kind of like it, but not enough to have purchased and regularly worn.

I really like this fragrance. I spayed it on at 9 am, and I was still getting wiffs of it at 11 pm. Now ar 12:30am, its a skin scent, but it's still there. I don't get any pickle scent, but i do get banan/bubblegum and parsley or celery seeds. I also get the white florals, and hints of the saffron and vanilla. Sandalwood is undetectable on me. While the sweetness is not sickening for me, it's just shy, so I see how it could be. Overall a nice, solid daytime scent. UPDATE: Woke up the next morning (6ish) and am left with a lovely, slightly sweet vanilla skin scent. Very happy with this perfume.

I went to Ulta today to sniff some pretty scents. This was the one that really got me, to my surprise. Everything since the original Marc Jacobs has been very sweet and teenager-y (in my opinion, which is shared by my actual teeenaged daughter) but this scent is for a grown ass woman with a job. And that's me. I took a big spritz on the wrist before I left the store and now it has dried down to a lovely, grown up, but not old lady, warm vanilla. Spicy in a good way, not a sneezy way. It's on my wish list for Christmas now. Maybe I should tell my teenager. :)

Mmmmm...upon first sniff when I tried this it smelled like an exotic blend of warm florals threaded with what my nose interpreted as pineapple (I see that it's champagne) on a bed of cozy vanilla. I like this. A strong like, not sure it's a love but I enjoyed this. It smells it smells classy to me but not in a stuffy way. More playful. I may revisit this one again. Thumbs up. (: After wearing this a few more hours I changed this from a like to a love. The vanilla in this is so beautiful, very unique fragrance. On my want list!

I have this and the original on my arms right now. The original is much dirtier, darker, less conventional. More amber, warmer, woodier etc. This, Divine, is if anything a step in the saints direction. It's cleaner, it's more feminine, sweeter, floral, fruity. Nothing the matter with it, but it's much more of an everyday "smelled it before" kind of conventional fragrance. Which certainly has it's place. I think if you didn't like the original you'll like this. I like it but it doesn't suit me. 7/10

Got a sample of this frag with my order and felt like I need to say something. What a lovely light summer/spring perfume! It really feels crystal clear and white floral. Tons of honeysuckle and gardenia x hortensia blossoms. Vanilla note sounds a bit like in banana frags, but it’s ‘cause of blending with honeys, I guess. I can’t tell what type of champagne is in it, but it reads purely. Really cheerful frag, I must say. And I personally love the name x)

I just picked up a sample of this, as I was intrigued by the initial whiff of an elemi-like tang and sweet woods mixed with large, creamy white flowers. Not a good on me - too sweet and powdery, not enough bergamot or amber to cut through the cloying vanilla and the flowers in this mix only add more power to it. Rather disappointed but hey, that's body chemistry. The sample paper still smells divine, this is dynamite on somebody but not me!

The white flowers and vanilla in this dry down to a Guerlain-esque Aqua Allegria Lys Soleia lite. Thankfully, I don’t get any of the pickle juice thing from this that others get, though I am prone to getting that from other fragrances, such as Stash. I got a rollerball, so it is very difficult for me to tell if it would sit as close to the skin, had it been sprayed. On me it is sweet, humid, and slightly tropical.

This is a weird one. The first few times I wore it I really enjoyed the sweet, banana custardy aroma I (thought I) could smell. The next few times I tried it, however, I detected the vinegar/pickle accord that many others have noticed. Drat. I wish I could go back to banana custard sans pickle. Maybe trying it in cooler weather will help?

I blind buy this fragrance around three weeks ago and I have to say it was one of my best purchases this year. This one smells really nice on me. There's no honey in the notes description, but I definitely smell honey-like scent. Divine Decadence in my opinion is a more classy, sweet and warm version compared to the other Decadence.

Huh. The first two attempts with this scent resulted in a headache and then my throwing the sample in a drawer. Trying it a third time was the charm. Now it feels easy to wear. The gardenia and honeysuckle are are mild notes in the background, with the top and base being the most prominent, as others have also noticed.
