Marc Jacobs Cotton Splash 2016

NOSTALGIC. I remember when I was in gradeschool and would watch my mom iron my uniform, and this is the exact smell of my freshly washed uniform as the very hot iron comes into contact with it. It's impossible for me to not get transported to that time and place. Very clean. Innocent. Ah, those days 🥺

Crisp, water-fresh, clean, and there's something that gives off a metallic scent. I love it! Very nice or spring and summer!

I smelled a tester once and I remember that I was obsessed with how fresh the scent was, but the store was out of this perfume and I only managed to buy it two years later. I'd forgotten the fragrance by then, but I really liked how inoffensive and light it was and I didn't regret the purchase. It is quite long lasting on clothes, but you might need to refresh it during the day. I use it when I don't feel like having my usual sweet and heavy scents around all day. To me, it's perfect for all seasons, as it won't be too heavy in the summer heat, but it is also a cold fragrance, so I like to use it in winter as well - it reminds me of a sunny and crisp winter morning.

Fresh and clean, dries down softly. Unfortunately, this dies out in about 30 mins. Cotton flower is the most prominent note, followed by an aquatic note. I smell a bit of lilac, which is so fleeting and I only get a wisp of it. I wish this lasted because the initial spray is so nice.

On me, it smells like that dirty water that rests on the plates after you water the plants. Weird and unpleasant. I have smelled other perfumes with cotton in the notes and they smell nothing like this. I am disappointed. Sillage and longevity are average.

A generic chemical citrus, a bit like an air freshener. Not bad, but nothing special. It disappeared from my skin after an hour.

40 e for 100 ml for a splash like this is sheer robbery. It is fresh, inoffensive and yes a little synthetic at first but after 20 minutes it disappeared. I am always on the lookout for a nice splash as summer triggers my migraines but this is not working for me...or anyone to my mind, sorry!

very synthetic upon application,sits very close to the skin. No freshly laundered cotton smell for me. I guess being a splash,aka cologne strength,would justify the abysmal performance and modest price for a Marc Jacobs (AUD 69 for 100 ml). Getting nothing worthwhile or memorable here. Pass

I would absolutely love to review this for you...unfortunately every time I spray it on, it's gone before my arm hits my nose.
