Perfect Absolute

Super inoffensive, mass appealing exactly like one should expect from this house. On first sniff I immediately get a sweet plum/fig dark fruit shampoo. I really like this. I'm smelling some powder behind the fruit. I love a good soft easy fragrance and the fact this version Perfect Absolute seems to be long lasting & still getting beautiful whaffs in the air several hours later Definitely has me sold. This is what I wanted the elixer version to be.. Absolute is the best one from the entire line. Pleasantly surprised that its not performing like a typical MJ perfume (usually trash longevity-Perfumes for ppl who don't like fragrance lol) Added to cart 💕 Yeah the longevity with the soft powder behind the dark fruit has got me for sure the more I smell it the more I want to- addictive. I don't get Carmel though just sweetness. I can totally see the banana as well like someone mentioned below.

Oh my word - this is stunning. Not for the weak of nose - this is STRONG - but oh my word she is GORGEOUS. I love the entire perfect line - I'd say next to intense, this is my fave. Intense, Absolute, EDT, Elixir, then the original. I really loved Elixir when it came out last year but it does not last! This added and subtracted the right way and is truly beautiful. I think the EDT and the original are a great offering if you want lighter and safe, and the intense which is my BABY is a perfect sexy gourmand for the colder months, but absolute could be worn ANY time ANY where, and you'll be noticed she is STRONG - wow. Such a happy "blind buy" =)

I am not a fig lover and, honestly, I don't really know what figs are supposed to smell like but everyone says they are either green and fresh or sweet and jammy. This fig is definitely sweet and jammy and combined with the slightly spicy, warm amber.....this is the most beautiful fall/winter scent that is perfect for an event/occasion/date night, etc. but can be gotten away with during the day as well. The jasmine is a background player that adds depth but doesn't read as overly floral. I have never met a Marc Jacobs that wasn't amazing and this one is no exception. I cannot wait to get my nose on the rest of the the Perfect flankers!

My new favourite fragrance this fall! The elixir-version is redundant for me now, because they are similar in style, but the Absolute smells even better! My first impression was of a dense and jammy sweet and fruity fig potion, but it develops into a sultry sensation that is deepend by the ambery notes. Jasmine is not prominent to my nose, but its blended in to create a balanced sweetness that's not just fruity. Overall it's an addictive and sexy, deep, red fragrance that will thrive in cold weather. Wears throughout the day on clothes, and your delicious scent-bubble will not burst🫧

This is my second review of this fragrance. I really didn't like it at first. But there was something intriguing about this scent, so I have decided to buy a full bottle and OMG I fell in love. This is such a unique, juicy, sweet, woody and sexy perfume. Colour of the bottle really represents what's inside. This smells like sliced figs, covered in caramel and honey and slightly roasted in a fire. If you are looking for a long lasting, powerful perfume this is it. Perfect choice for fall and winter time.This is a grown up, confident, sexy woman perfume, I absolutely love it!

This smells absolutely delicious. I went in with low expectations because of some of the reviews I had read, but the moment I smelled it, I fell in love. It's exactly the kind of fragrance I was looking for for dates or whenever I want to wear something a bit more modern (I usually prefer vintage fragrances). To my nose, it smells like fig and caramel. I don't get the banana note that some people mention. It's perfectly unisex. The caramel actually reminded me of Scandal Pour Homme. The projection and longevity are excellent.

I don’t get fig from this at all, I think that was purely marketing. But what I do get is something very fruity and candy-like, like a mix of a strawberry/plum/cherry jolly rancher. It’s very sweet and syrupy but in a deep, sexy and playful way. Then I get the sweet gooey warmth from the caramel and amber in the background which just makes this scent soo sexy and irresistible! I love it so much. It’s so strong you only need a couple sprays and longevity is great! I highly recommend 😍 🍒🍓🍬🍯💜🎀

I usually don't like MJ perfumes, but this one got me. I sprayed it to try, and went home. Came back to buy it the next day cause I couldn't stop smelling my hand. Its a very reach, deep smell, everyone can smell you cause its strong. The funny thing is the things people say, like "its something with leather right?" Or someone told me "is that a coconut smell there?" Nobody can say the real notes but everyone has the urge to say something about the notes. I love it very much!

This is one of my top finds of the year and it was love at first sniff for me. I received a sample of this when I bought the elixir and I already loved that one as well. I really enjoyed wearing the sample so upgraded to a larger bottle rather quickly. I don’t think this is blind buy safe but I’d say it’s definitely one to try out it’s a warm Carmel and you can certainly smell the jasmine and amber as well. Simple but to me very edible and enjoyable. 10/10

This was love at first sniff. The fig is caramelised and sticky... sugar overdose. There’s a gentle softness, almost a slight soapiness to the jasmine that balances out the dentist defying caramel and sautéed fruit concoction. Slightly reminiscent of something like JPG La Belle Le Parfum but less linear because the florals burst through as it dries down. It’s biting into a caramalised fig tart while draped in garlands of freshly picked jasmine. Divine!

Bought it as a travel size at first, because I already had my fair share of failed blind buys, thank you very much. And upon the very first spray regretted not going full-size. Such an awesome scent. Creamy jasmine with just a slight hint of fig, which gives jasmine a dab of freshness, so you are not left with the heavy, realistic, indoles of the jasmine flower. It's not an indolic scent at all. Beautifully done jasmine. Love it, love it!!!!!

Wife & I went to Ulta to smell this today, left with a travel atomizer while we wait for it to hit discounters. It's deep, rich, very strong performance, but not overpowering or headache-inducing. You can for sure detect a cherry note in it and it's reaaaaally pleasant! Will absolutely (no pun intended) grab 2 bottles when it hits discounters online! I love fig. I love jasmine. I love caramel. I love amber. I love this. I def want a bottle of it and will wait for the price to drop a little. Reminds me a bit of Poison but much lighter and without resins. It’s jammy but the amber grounds it a bit. You could say... it’s absolutely perfect :D But seriously if you like these notes you’ll like this. It’s nicely blended, good silage. Going to enjoy my 2 ml very much!

My goodness!!! 😍😍 What a caramel beauty!!! Fig with caramel, some jasmine and some amber in the base! The fig is almost syrupy!! Like a fig marmalade with caramel my gosh!! I can’t stop smelling myself!!! Getting something dark sexy mysterious!! Almost getting a candied cherry 🍒 vibe!! Absolutely love this!! I want this!!!! In the drydown it is very similar to Perfect Elixir by Marc Jacobs without the caramel.

Love this on my wife, smells like a grown up gourmand and sexy, but only during colder weather. She wore this on a warmer day and it was just too much for me to handle. The amber/carmel combo is the biggest impression I get from smelling this with lighter facets of fig and the sensuality comes from jasmine in the background. Recommend if you like a slightly dark and sexy gourmand for the cooler seasons.

This ones is juicy with the fig and sweet, really different than anything on the market right now from different designer brands. The carmelized fig is distinctive and mysterious. I kept coming back to it as the day went on. It’s just juicy, different and sexy in a non traditional way. Definitely a different take on the Perfect line. I’m excited to wear her in the fall winter months!

A beautiful scent! The fig is done very well and lasts throughout. There’s an initial caramel/popcorn note that works wonderfully with it but settles down after a while, so it’s not overbearing. An overall well-blended fragrance and it seems I’m back into MJ fragrances. (Never been a fan of the Daisy flankers or Dot & Honey) For reference - I love Lola, Decadence and Perfect Elixir

It smells like you're eating figs glazed with honey while surrounded by jasmine bushes. The figs are sweet, dripping with nectar, and the jasmine is in full bloom. Now you're feeling sick from all the sugar, but you have no regrets. After you (inevitably) die from a diabetic coma, your soul blissfully ascends to gourmand heaven.

I'm pleasantly surprised. This is the only Perfect fragrance I actually like, let alone tolerate. All the other ones are just meh in my opinion. This one is actually so good! Such a delicious jammy juicy fig. It dries down to an ambery vanilla (kinda basic but oh well) the opening for me was well worth the buy!

This is so amazing, i am so glad i picked it. Loving it for this festive season ... A lovely sweet floral scent. Total winner for me. I did not like the previous flankers, although i adore these bottles. This one is my favourite from all of the “perfects” - Bhavna Darira Chesan

I fear that this is a fragrance that made me fall in love with Fig as a note. This one is just the right amount of deep and sweet, and despite being a woman's perfume, every single perfume goes dark on my skin. I'm at the point where I'll buy it for my girl and myself.

One of my favorite fall/winter date night or night out perfumes. My husband loves it on me. Smells delicious and sexy. Great longevity and projection. I love the fig. When the weather cools down I might try layering with a little Father Figure to amp up the fig note.

This surprised me ! It’s absolutely lovely. Well rounded, sweet but not sickening sweet. The fig note is beautiful. For me this is a perfect late summer-fall fragrance♥️ I have over 200 in my collection and I can’t say that this one reminds me of something else!

I absolutely adore this fragrance. Definitely making it a permanent part of my collection, as the only Marc Jacobs I have and enjoy. It is stunning - thick sweet, long lasting and yummy - all the things I crave. Simply wonderful. On track for my second bottle.

It was love at first site, for a gourmand it's more floral oriental leaning but you can still get that sweet fig note, the notes are really well balanced and it's long lasting. One, if not my favorite perfume at the moment, and I'm not a Marc Jacobs fan

I gotta say I LOVE THIS, it's the perfect balance between fig and caramel, it's also a jammy fog which I enjoy, the top notes are intoxicating but the dry down is not too cloying if you're worried. Definitely would shine more in the colder season though

I instantly get the same scent as the Elixir but it dries down to a warmer deeper version, if I’d known it smelt so similar not sure I would have bought it as this was a blind buy and I own the elixir. I love this scent so it’s ok.

You people saying it's strong; are you overdoing it? I put one spritz on my wrist and spread behind my ears. Not overpowering at all. Very pleasing, and I can imagine that this one will smell very good on my husband as well.

if you’re looking for a sweet and feminine perfume with a slightly masculine scent, this is the one. it’s sweet but not too sugary, a little woody and powdery a few hours in, it’s delicious

tried the bottle with the cherry cap and me and my mum both agreed that it smelled like (synthetic) cherry- in a good way. very juicy, warm and sweet, i love it!

Definitely backup bottle worthy. This is the only MJ fragrance that I've ever enjoyed. The caramelized fig is sweet but not sickly sweet.

I LOVE a sexy gourmand perfume, and this is perfect in terms of notes. But I find it doesn't last as long as I'd hope, which is a shame.

Lovely but the elixir is much better, stronger, longer lasting. This one is very close to the skin, I can’t smell it!

Smells like vimto but not as fizzy

This opens up like a kind of plummy playdough or scented doll like those old Strawberry Shortcake dolls - maybe the Plum Puddin' one 💜 then very soon afterwards it morphs into a sweet, incensey, slightly smokey fruit syrup that is not a million miles away from Teriaq Intense. I know this is fig and Teriaq has plum but I find them to be quite similar. I am wearing this on a crisp 3° February day in UK and it is performing well. I think it is suitable for Autumn/Winter wear. It doesn't have Teriaq Intense's beast mode, it is more moderate. It also does not have the powerful saffron note and feels more feminine leaning. Some say Teriaq Intense is a masculine fragrance, personally I find it unisex, but Perfect Absolute might appeal to you if you wanted a lighter, more feminine version of the former. I like it but don't need it as I own TI and don't need anything similar right now, but I wouldn't rule it out for future cold seasons. The plummy shade is appealing for AW and I always find the jaunty "bunch of spangly stuff from Grandma's button tin" caps cute. Have been disappointed with all the other Perfects but this one delivers.

Mea culpa for treating the Perfect line superficially. Honestly, I had no reason, because Marc Jacobs takes his job seriously, proven. So, I read Eddie Bulliqi's abracadabrante review on frag com and my curiosity come on. I go to test urgently and find a really cool perfume. Sweet for sure but a special sweet one. The pyramid states 4 notes but there are more for sure. The perfume has woody undertones in the base, but although amber can also create such illusions, this time it seems to be a more dusty sandalwood and as you take between your fingers licorice. Otherwise it is a fig jam in which a good dose of slightly bitter burnt sugar has been added. This caramel is about and not about some sweet milky cream. Smelling it, Lolita' s or Aquolina come first to mind, but only in vibe and style, without concrete similarities. It's neither childish nor mature, it has depth and is suitable for almost any occasion. Well, maybe not at 40°C... 🌞 It's already on my wishlist and I give it an 8.5 out of 10.0

Alright, hear me out. Do you remember those warm summer nights in the 90's when you were going out to dance with your friends? When you had the privilege to wear beauties like Joop Berlin or Nuit d'ete, Givenchy Amarige, Gucci Rush, just to mention a few, and you had no cell phones and no care in the world, you were young and beautiful, and boys kissed you so sweet. Everything was possible and you were about to change the world. You had the scent in your hair the next day and it made you smile... That's where this beauty takes me back so I don't have a choice. Now I have to have it at all times.

On my skin, that's a banana 🍌😆💛💛💛 Bright yummy Banana! And then some sweet fig. Very fun! It's dense and intense. It develops more mature, not so bright anymore but syrupy...hm.I quite like it. I love MJ DNA in general. It's not a summer banana, rather an autumnal one lol 🍂🍌💛🍂 It's way overpriced for what it is. Edit: disappointing drydown...muddy mature, not fully (it still holds the goodness in the background), but still 😒 It went from young to grandma real quick. Re-visiting it: it's a very autumnal, syrupy banana scent. I don't know why my first impression was "grandma" dry down 🤔

This reminds me of the intense but add a slight cherry smell. It does have a slight medicinal smell at first, but that fades pretty quickly. I get the intense with a smidge of cherry chapstick. I like it! Hours later: I am getting such a yummy sillage from this! This is one of those perfumes that smells different close up. I get the caramel aspect from far away, but close up, I get the cherry. I prefer the sillage smell as I am not a huge cherry fan. I’m liking this more and more! Six hours later: This smells similar to one of my favorites, Flowerbomb Nectar. Yummy!

I had been looking for a sweet fig and this is definitely that. It's almost too intensely sweet for the first minute or two, and then it slowly transforms into this much more creamy version of a sweet fig. Still sweet though, just slightly more wearable. The fig in this is similar to Milk Orchid, but that is a lot softer, creamier and more floral. Perfect Absolute is for those who want to stand out and are not afraid to make a statement with their perfume. Not sure I would wear this to the office, but any other time I definitely would.

I have smelled this on a few occasions and I like it but don’t love it. This is on the heavy, gloopy end of the gourmand spectrum - a thick syrup rather than light whipped sugar. I prefer a vanilla to a caramel and this is very caramelly. The figgy amber is lovely and is quite an unusual combination. Performance is ok - lasts a couple of hours on me. It feels slightly expensive for the quality. I like it and I’ve enjoyed the atomiser so it’s perhaps a future buy, rather than an immediate buy.

It's a very sweet, syrupy fig. Very fruity! I've tried multiple Perfect flankers, and this is the only one I've liked so far. Longevity is poor though, despite how heavy it hits when first applied. Maybe it would be more noticeable in warmer weather...Also, I love the color of the bottle and the little black cat on the cap. <3

Caramel jasmine. Sweet and comforting. The composition is well-rounded, evolving from noticeable, good projection to subtly sweet accords, lingering on fabric by the end of the day.

This is probably the best Marc Jacobs fragrance out there, so much deeper and sweeter than the usual perfumes from this brand. It quite nice actually!

A great choice if you want a sweet perfume without the toothache. Adding jasmine and fig makes for a sweet fruity fragrance that is very enjoyable.

Some note from this scent reminds me of scandinavian style cream cake, liked it very much.

This smells so much like Jean Paul Le Belle Paradise Garden to me.
