Perfect Intense

[DECEMBER 2021] Delicious , I think this gourmand should tide over my mourning of Jeux De Peau by Lutens for now. Probably the most realistic rice accord smell for its price range , but niche fans must be prepared to pay more for a fuller french vanilla breakfast / warm cookies and milk kind of experience. Recommend : DSH Au Lait , Ave Luxe Milk , Serge Lutens Un Bois Vanille , Chabaud Lait De Biscuit, Xerjoff Italica (closest overall scent wise to my nose, but not in the same way Italica made my heart beat and jump a bit when I tried Italica's delicious dessert veneer for the first time.) Still! ...Perfect Intense could be a favourite non-niche milky breakfast styled offering that anyone can reach for in a city store. Lukewarm vanilla dessicated coconut-sprinkle chai / realistic and adequately toasty rice milk fresh from the box full of sprays for a 50ml (PS: Marc Jacobs scents have a gap between the juice and the bottle so don't be fooled because it's definitely a lot of juice... if your skin can amplify low-to-medium longetivity fragrances like I can. *Pretty telling also I now prefer this over Carner's Palo Santo which has in the long term become too heavy and cloying with the milk incense vibe , but I appreciate that and Perfect Intense's cuddly bubbly "hygge" air.) And as from Boxing Day, it came with a very cute rose goldy accented tote bag and if you twist the cap you see other side has more gems and i think a kitty cat ! Thanks for your service Queens Plaza, baby sis loves the free included gift tote bag ^ ^ Merry Christmas ! EDIT: I don't know if anyone else can pick up this but... that combination of creamy nutty toasted almond accord and indolic sweet-sour night blooming jasmine blended on a softened slightly-powdery sandalwood base gives my nose the impression of bananas -- specifically a finely blended softly-frothy banana milkshake diluted with extra milk ! Nicely soft scent for bedtime, around kids, and elevating fluffy cozy moods, and things related to pastry cafes and desserts and relaxing under a hectic (work)place.

I work at *the makeup store* and was able to test this today. Starts off VERY intense, which I guess is fitting for the name. The sesame and almond are immediately the dominant notes. The jasmine and narcissus add a touch of floral creaminess, but this combination doesn’t smell matronly like I was worried it might. The cashmeran and sandalwood create a warm and cozy envelope around the sesame and almond, making it the perfect fall scent. It of course has a predominantly sweet vibe, but I also feel like it’s a little salty too. Maybe thats better described as nuttiness, which would make sense of course. One spray is more than enough. I can see this being easily too overpowering. I typically love strong gourmand scents, and while this is defiantly up my ally ( I also love warm florals like this), I felt briefly smothered by this fragrance. All I did was one spray on my left hand. In terms of longevity, I put it on at around 5 on, it’s currently 8:23 and it has softened up quite a bit. That initial intensity does not last the entire time, and I’m glad for that. If it did, that would make this perfume to strong and unwearable. Right now, it smells like cozy jazmine with a whisper of the heavy nuttiness from the initial spray. I wish the pink pepper was a little more noticeable, but maybe that’s just how it’s sitting on my skin. It is absolutely beautiful and perfect for fall. It is also a complete departure from the original Perfect, a sharp and fruity floral. This is her grown up, high society older sister that’s always been described as mature for her age, maybe even an old soul. Can’t wait to add the full bottle to my collection. UPDATE: Went on something of a power walk for about an hour and a half. It’s humid out so of course I’m sweating and it held up great. The nuttiness has faded and it’s a nice, soft, warm floral.

There isn't a high enough pedestal for this fragrance! I'm biased, as this scent is my signature as of late. There are many fragrances I like and love, but this is one of the ONLY scents that I have not a single contention with. I originally plowed through a travel size of the original "Perfect", and when this new intense version was released, I really didn't pay it any mind. In fact, I smelled it in Sephora on a test strip and threw it away with not a single opinion towards it. And I totally forgot about its existence. Until one day I was in Ulta and bought this on a whim with money from my birthday (not wise to buy on a whim!). However, it completely paid off! I wouldn't recommend blind-buying, even if you're familiar with the original "Perfect". While the original to my nose is more rhubarb and almond milk, this one is more daffodil and roasted almond. It's sexier while being more serious and modest. It's more elegant than playful. Although I think I'm still in the "honeymoon phase" with this fragrance, I've never had a viscerally positive reaction to a scent like this. I know Marc Jacobs fragrances get dogged on because of how simple and overpriced they are (which I still think is true), this one is somehow exciting to me. Because it's a flanker of the original, I feel a little more unique when I wear it compared to the other Daisy ones. Also, I feel like this one is way better for lasting than the other Marc Jacobs fragrances. And maybe I'm just crazy but I feel like all Marc Jacobs fragrances have some sort of je ne sais quoi in all of their perfumes. I swear there's some secret ingredient that makes all of them identifiable as a Marc Jacobs fragrance. Then again, maybe it's just Alberto Morillas and Domitille Michalon Bertier and their ability to unify all the fragrances in this brand!

THIS HAS SWIFTLY BECOME MY NEW SIGNATURE. I get graceful hippie vibes & I love it. I’m a huge Daisy love fan & this is a little more earthy (not as sweet) than the Daisy line, but it’s much stronger which I like. Perfect intense is like a slightly green almond creme floral with that added sparkle Marc Jacobs is known for. Touch of sweetness too. I slightly smell bananas but it’s not in the notes? Maybe people are smelling it more because of the banana cap. I definitely smell the roasted almonds, white florals & sandalwood. I love the creamy, buttery warmth this creates. (Some get popcorn vibes and I feel that too). Many describe this as a warm floral and I definitely agree. Some also consider this gourmand and I would say no, only slightly but in a creamy almond way, not syrupy. It has a simple strength, Nothing too complex but the notes are blending with golden perfection! I feel like you literally can’t go wrong with MJ scents, I’ve tested many many of them and adore them all. If you love the daisy line but want something a-little less sweet and stronger then I definitely suggest this scent! I have not tested the original perfect but based on reviews this one is just more intense yet very similar. BUY THIS ONE! Update: wearing this today and projection is amazing. I am enjoying the whiffs of heaven and boyfriend likes it. It lasted days on clothes! This will be a special occasion signature for me, probably for a long time. It has really become my favorite, it has captivated me. Thanks again MJ! 🍌🍿🌼

I tested this at Ulta about a month ago and initially thought it was just ok...But for some reason I could not get the deep beautiful complex white floral notes out of my head!! Sniffed my arm the rest of the evening. Jump to 1 month later I just had to buy a mid-size 1.6 oz bottle on ebay after seeing a decent deal. It's def very heavy on the jasmine. It's a very bright, clean jasmine scent not cloying and heavy. I think the jasmine in this actually smells very similar to gardenia. I'm really surprised gardenia is not a note! Oddly, it actually kind of reminds me of Versace Crystal Noir EDT (the old version before reformulation) minus the spicy notes in that one (the white floral note in this is very similar to the white floral note in that one). On my skin I don't get a gourmand vibe at all, it's very white floral and almost soapy. It has some warm vibes to it for sure and tiny hints of almond but overall I'd categorize it as floral. I'm so glad I don't get the sesame and banana notes some others are getting cause I'd hate that! lol. It has whispers of the original but it's definitely different. It's so much better and more complex. I only have a cute little mini version of the original (and have no intentions get that in a full size) but to me this one is def FBW. Also if you like this try Versace Crystal Noir edt!! It's one of my all time fave. This is not the same exact scent but they're def in the same family of deep beautiful white florals. lol.

Finally got to test Perfect Intense ~ First impressions; The Narcissus flower dominates this scent, with the almonds supporting it beautifully. Once it settles you get the sandalwood in the mix. It's quite creamy and warm. Very round, well blended scent. It smells quite 'expensive' to me. Like a luxurious soap. People who aren't into too sweet scents would probably like this? On the strong side - little goes a long way. There must be a good silage as my companion immediately commented on the smell when I passed them by. Longevity is so far so good; after 3 hours it smells the same than when I first sprayed it. (I have a feeling this will last the rest of the day on me.) Perfect Intense differs from Perfect, but I can still smell they're in the same family (thanks to the Narcissus). Perfect is fruitier with the rhubarb, Intense is the big sister of it. The bottle is fabulous. What perfumes would I put this in the same category with? Even though they don't smell the same (!), just give the same 'vibe' to me, I'd say Libre. And even Twilly and the OG J'Adore.. They all have that luxurious perfume vibe to them..

Firstly... I absolutely LOVE this! I think Marc Jacobs has grown a reputation for its ‘basic’ smells, and don’t get me wrong... I’m not a die hard ‘Daisy’ fan... although the dream, eau so fresh and eau so sweet flankers will always have a special place in my heart for basically getting me into perfume as a teen. But for me the ‘perfect’ range brought a welcome newness. I have and love the original perfect, which I think now that I’m more knowledgeable on scents is enough to replace all the Daisy scents for me. It’s just different enough that I can justify it in my collection and is the exact type of scent I adore. But this intense... WOW. This fragrance should not be a flanker of perfect in my opinion as they’re completely different to me. But this is just a delicious, unique, warm, creamy, burnt nutty floral in the best way. I’m not normally an almond lover but this is just amazing. I think people have already decided in their heads that Marc Jacobs create basic scents, and so this is dismissed. But it’s definitely worth a try and I think will be a forever love in my collection :)

Honestly, this perfume may be one of my all-time favorites. It was one of my first designer perfume purchases. I remember I'd just moved into my apartment and wanted a perfume that made me feel as grown up as I was now. At that time, my perfume consisted mainly of BBW. The bottle is what caught my attention but the first spray???? I was hooked. Perfect Intense made me feel like I live in a high-rise apartment as a single woman, and I am about to go out for dinner and drinks at my favorite restaurant with my friends. It's an experience when I put this on. It's the perfume in my collection with the largest dent.I love it, I love it on its own. Layer it with a creamy vanilla lotion or whipped almond by mix bar. It's just so great. Men and women alike love this scent. I get many compliments and this perfume projects as well as keeps a strong scent bubble around me. I will surely buy a new bottle before my 3.3 oz runs out. Also, this scent gets better and better with time. The longer I've had it, the more potent it has grown.

On a test stripe, this smells exactly like the original, which means I love it already!! I absolutely ADORE the original! I read some comments about the Intense version being more gourmand than the original so I am impatient to try it on my skin. I do not need two fragrances that are exactly the same after all. I still think this will be a spring and summer fragrance. After testing it a few times, I confirm that I love this fragrance! It is very similar to the original, but the dry down is woodier and creamier because of the sandalwood. Longevity is average, and it projects a lot when your skin heats up. I would wear this in the spring, and the original in the spring and the summer. I do prefer the original after all, it is so delicious and perfect! This is beautiful and comforting, just like the original. It is amazing on hotter days, it projects all day on me! But it so similar to the original that I don't really consider buying a full bottle. Still a big love, though!

Wow! This fragrance has been on my list for a bit more than a year when I sniffed a small tester that I got. I really liked it, but I was not that much into fragrances at that time. However it was good enough to remember it! I finally got the opportunity to test it again, and the scent captured me again. It is banana shake with a bit of floral twist - in a good way. I would not call it sensual or sexy, it is giving a cute girl vibe. One would call it juvenile, however I am 35 and will be still happy to wear it. :D I would definitely recommend it only for the fruity-sweet lovers. The banana scent stayed on me for 2-3 hours, and after that the creamy florals took over its place. In general, I am impressed with its longevity as well: I sprayed one full spray on my wrist, it was projecting for 3-4 hours, but remained as a skin scent after that for good 12 hours! In general, it is a strong 8/10 for me - and I am sure that I will get a good use out of it during this spring.

I remember trying out different perfumes in a shopping complex and coming across this one a couple years ago. It's still one of my favorites to layer on other perfumes in the afternoon. I would agree with others who've mentioned a lack of complexity-- but I think that's what I love about PI. Very straightforward in its warmth, and not overly sweet. I think among my collection, this one has tied with Lancôme’s Poeme for compliments received. I will say, my preference for PI may be a bit biased. I'm a huge almond lover, and sandalwood is usually a staple in any scent I'm drawn to. If you're a fan of these notes, too, the travel-size is a fantastic purchase for sampling. An excellent year-round perfume, and personally one I happily pack for any vacation, or keep in my purse for after meals.

Just picked this one up, smelled it at the shop and couldn't stay away from it! Kept going back and knew I was in it's thrall. I hadn't even intended to purchase, but there I was telling the cashier to TAKE my money!! At first, the green, almond and white florals are where it's at on me, then it sweetens out and mellows a bit into a sort of gentle cookies and milk vibe. It starts with an audacious bang then turns playful and soothing. Sassy, but sweet. I can tell I'll wear this a lot, and frankly, the bottle rocks my world. I keep the cherry/kitty side out. For the record, this blends super well with Pure Poison, which gives it some depth that it lacks on the dry down. My skin looooves darker, deeper, spicier scents, so I like to use those to give lighter scents some teeth.

Marc Jacobs and I haven’t been friends since Decadence. That perfume ff-ed me up good. All the others in the MJ house are just. Blegh. Mass pleasers. This tho... Ehmagewrd. Yes. Delicious almond, fresh green narcissuses. A dab of banana fruitiness. Mass pleaser? Yes... ish. Longevity? Acceptable. Sillage: starts with a good blast, but becomes ’arms length’ after an hour or two. After two more hours it’s a skin scent, with little of the initial fresh narcissuses left to detect. Its ready for reapplication after 4-5 hours in my opinion. But it’s worth it: haven’t had the pleasure of finding a perfume like this before. 🤷♀️ If you’re looking for a shower gel dupe of this, and you happen to live in Italy: Felce Azzura: Almond and White Tea will be right up your alley.

Perfect intense is a happy, warm and festive scent for me. It makes me think of being expressive, outgoing, upbeat, but also chic, classy and sophisticated in a fun way. About the banana..I thought it was me. Or that I was influenced by seeing the banana on the cap. The funny thing is that it doesn't smell like banana when I focus on it, but somehow I'm reminded of creamy bananas everytime I wear it 🤷 To me Perfect intense works both during Christmas, as it feels festive and sparkly to me, but it also works well on rainy summer days, because it's fun and optimistic. It's a good combination between comforting and warm, and tingly and sparkly (but like, classy sparkly, if that makes any sense). And last but not least, I like the bottle. The cap makes me happy.

This one is lovely ❤️ I was afraid of the narcissus because I do not like the smell of the flower although it looks very pretty. So I ordered just a sample of Perfect Intense to try on my skin. A full bottle is rather expensive to buy in case I would not like it. And wow, I was stunned! Then I ordered a full bottle (and the bottle is a cutie, btw, love that tiny shiny decorations 🤭). My new creamy favourite. I have already tried the perfume in all seasons, and I must say it is literally PERFECT all year round! Cozy in the autumn and winter, sweet in the spring and juicy and not annoying at all in the summer. Yummy, got several compliments that I smell so good when wearing it. And this is what decides when I hesitate what perfume I could buy again.

I'm gonna add another review because I really love this one. I initially got this perfume because of the awesome cap+ name, and it seems to have better performance than the other Marc Jacobs scents I know about. I smell something that vaguely reminds me of bananas as well. I still don't notice the almond. This does smell shampooey, but like expensive shampoo. There is something vaguely herbal or floral here too. This is very calming and I love to wear this to bed before sleep. However, it is a great scent to wear while out and about during daytime. I don't see anything screechy or offensive here. Something else this makes me think of is a fruity vaguely herbal and floral slightly sweetened tea.

Ehhhhh....I’ve tried. I’ve tried, so hard. And at first spray I think- Oh yes, springtime daffodils and warmth, we can get on. Then it starts drying down, and when it’s time for nutty almond and sandalwood to come out... there’s just perfumey fumes. Now, I’ve never been one to write about a fragrance and use the word “perfumey”, it seems so lazy. As lazy as Marc Jacobs for putting out Perfect Intense without the finish it deserves. If you’re here looking for a daffodil/ yellow floral that’s gorgeous through and through, I recommend the discontinued Poéme from Lancôme. *3/4 full 100ml bottle up for swap if anyone is interested **Gone from my collection

I actually really enjoy this one! I am not usually a huge fan of Marc Jacobs, as I find them to lack uniqueness. This one opens with a strong almond note blended nicely with the narcissus. After a bit the jasmine comes in, but not as strong as the daffodil. The almond stays throughout the whole day, which I love with the sandalwood. This scent is perfect for every day- it smells clean yet still warm and inviting. It could definitely be a signature fragrance through all seasons. I do kinda see the similarities to Sunflower and banana shampoo, but I find that this is more of a distant cousin rather than a close relative to those scents.

I tested Perfect and Perfect Intense at the same time and I prefer this version so let's talk about why that is. This fragrance is almond forward and I honestly think there must be more than a hint of ylang ylang somewhere. The slightly green narcissus note tries to balance out the sweetness so I don't find this extremely fruity or sweet, but the perfumers have toned down the narcissus note compared to the OG. Yet it is fruity and sweet. This perfume is an 8/10 and if they'd kept the rhubarb maybe it'd been an 8.5. Still, I'm pleasantly surprised by how lovely it is as I'm not the biggest fan of Marc Jacob fragrances. That's all.

I’m not sure if my nose is deceiving me, but this smells a LOT like Fame by Lady Gaga. I'm also getting some hints of Naughty Alice by Vivienne Westwood in terms of sweetness Perfect Intense is very nice. Slightly peppery but smooth and creamy. You can definitely smell the jasmine and it’s gorgeous. I think the almond notes could’ve been more potent though. Also I can't say I'm picking up on the banana scent that others are smelling Overall I love it. This one feels sensual, autumnal and edgy, especially for a Marc Jacobs fragrance (I find most of them quite basic and safe). It's very city girl-esque
