Perfect

I've sniffed my fair share of women's designer fragrances, and I can confidently say that Marc Jacobs Perfect is one of the best releases out there. The opening is top-tier juicy, green rhubarb mixed with this clean, almost soapy floral quality. It has that refreshing almost shampoo like which is super pleasant. The almond milk note here isn't the heavy, creamy gourmand type, it sits really well with the cashmere and cedar in the base, giving it a woody, slightly musky finish while still holding onto that rhubarb and floral freshness in the dry down. As a man, I absolutely love this scent on women. It's incredibly cozy, feminine and non cloying. Some might argue it’s a bit juvenile for those over 30, but I honestly think it fits almost any woman at any age. The performance is average, but since it’s so inoffensive, you can easily respray it throughout the day without bothering anyone. While I won't be wearing this myself as it doesn't quite fit my personal vibe & character, I love having it around. It’s actually my go-to for relaxing in my room drinking tea, listening to music, or even just as a cozy bedtime scent. A very well blended fragrance, and definitely one of the best women's designer releases. If you’re looking for a solid budget alternative, check out Fragrance World Pleasant, it usually goes for around $20 on discounters. On my skin and paper, it’s 90-95% similar to the original, though it is more linear, it maintains that juicy rhubarb and soapy floral the whole way through and lacks the deep, woody, musky finish of the cashmere and cedar found in the original, but for that price, it’s definitely worth it! 9/10

My new perfume for 2026 its a safe blind buy for everyday wear with decent projection plus lovely bottle design I like the kitschiness of the charms. I think this is actually quite unique - upon initial spray it gives generic Marc Jacobs Daisy vibes but it settles really nicely especially on clothing. To me it smells peachy and banana very airy, light and young. Very nostalgic despite being new to me reminds me of this chapstick I was OBSESSED WITH called a mixstix the strawberry and banana smoothie one. This would be a good step up scent from Victoria secret sprays, I remember receiving daisy when I turned 17 but this is SO MUCH BETTER. I've already gotten a lot of compliments from older women and men I think in a day and age where a lot of young people are wearing gourmand scents like Sol de Janeiro and Sticky Dates this is a "PERFECT" fresh and fruity reframe that is super pleasant without being too in your face. I hope it doesn't gain too much traction so I can keep buying it for myself.. I can't wait to wear this year round but especially in spring around my bday :)

i was on a hunt to find a certain perfume i smelled on women daily during a holiday to madrid in spring 2024. i never thought to ask a single person what scent they had on but began to smell everything at sephora, ulta, and other places after i came home. when i smelled this one, i immediately thought it was this but i know i can never be sure. i also smelled ysl libre le parfum and realized that one could be it as well. they have some of the same notes, so i know 'the' madrid perfume is something white floral. any suggestions, especially from women in madrid on what they wear/wore in spring 2024 is super helpful! i love how fresh, clean and pretty this scent is on me. i'm a fan of MJ perfumes in general, but this is my favorite one. definitely reminds me of being in madrid on a beautiful spring day. it's also one that people compliment whenever i wear it.

Love at first sniff, way too easy to grab and go. My fav perfect together with the intense one, maybe a bit more than the intense one. Like all other marc jacobs perfumes, perfect EDP just smells nice and totally compliment-grabbing but it doesn't have anything too stand-out (the intense one does smell a bit more unique if that's what you're going for). Like, it smells like a marc jacobs perfume but it's good. Fresh, green, fruity, on a nice floral bed. The rhubarb note is definitely there, tart and sweet. It's refreshing and a good summer perfume for those who don't like citruses (like me) but enjoy fresh florals for summer. Happy with the purchase. Longevity is around 4-6 hours with medium projection. Feminine, optimistic and pretty, 100% a safe blind-buy. Too simple it can be a bit boring but there are days i want to smell like this.

I have both a sample of Perfect and a full sized Dossier dupe ("Floral Rhubarb", but it's not listed here on Fragrantica, for some reason.) While they're both so unexpectedly lovely (I liked this so much better than I thought I would!), the Dossier dupe seemed more rich and well-rounded, and lasted longer on my skin. The notes come together to make something mildly tangy, mildly sweet, mildly creamy that just makes me happy to keep sniffing. The notes for the dupe are: TOP: Rhubarb, Orange Blossom, Peach MIDDLE: Daffodil, Milky Accord, Narcissus BASE: Cedarwood, Blond Woods, Musks. I wonder if the addition of orange blossom, peach, and musk, and the lack of cashmeran makes me appreciate the dupe more. Like you can improve Perfect(ion).

I know a lot of people are disliking this perfume, but I surprisingly love it despite not being a huge rhubarb fan. On me it smells like the tangy, fruitiness of D&G's L'Imperatrice 3 with a light, sweet, creamy almond milk and cashmere base. It definitely starts off as a pretty, flirty scent but when it dries down, the cedar, cashmere and almond milk make more of a presence making it a little more warm and sexy. I can't wait to buy the biggest bottle (since I only own the travel spray as of now). It just makes me feel happy! I initially thought the cap was awful but then I grew to love it’s symbolism- perfection isn't defined by one thing, just as people are diverse and still all equally worthy and beautiful in their own unique way!

Perfect is a very fruity floral perfume. There’s no fruit listed in the notes but it seems there should be some there. I love the way the rhubarb and narcissus smell in this fragrance. It gives Perfect a very nice, clean, fruity and green aroma. I can’t say I’ve never smelled anything like it and yet it’s still a pleasant and beautiful smell. Perfect would definitely appeal to the younger ladies or those young at heart. It’s a very youthful, fun and flirty fragrance. The dry down is super pretty and the best part of this perfume for me. I like Perfect. It has great silage and it’s long lasting. I think it’s better suited for the spring, summer and autumnal months.

I read review and wonder if I smelled the same perfume. It is not a 90s for me, not a cheap smell, not changing into "something bad" at the end. This is what is great with reviews! We all have different impressions and it helps others to pick up a new scent. I loved Perfect. I am never so concerned about first notes. They disappear quite fast so what we pay for is a passage between middle note and base note and base note. For me it works amazing. On clothes is left fruity-sour-warm note - that I love - and on my skin lovely warm-clean scent of cashmeran smoothly blended with flower dust. My next buy.

I literally registered to fragrantica to comment about this perfume... Now I can say it freely: I’M IN LOVE!!!!! i want to describe this perfume in a different way. it smells like when you hugged someone and they smelled so cozy and soft that you want to hug them again!!! so this perfume is so hugable(???) i think. and definitely for spring. for summer too, but more like spring to me. longevity is not that good but not that bad either. maybe 4 hours or something..?? i really don’t have a heart to use it ‘cause it’s too expensive. i’m scared of finishing 😭😭😭

Such a perfect (no pun intended) every day perfume! She is fresh, clean, airy and feminine! I love the nutty vs clean vs floral contrast you get from this perfume. I hadnt reached for Perfect in a while and decided to wear her today. I completely understand her cult following. Shes such an easy wear, very safe for office space! Light, bubbly, girly, clean, soapy, bright!! You just feel so happy when you wear her. Instant mood lifter. If you are looking for a perfume similar to MJ Perfect....just trust me on this. Youthful and mature. Playful and sexy. It’s everything you didn’t know you needed. It’s perfect ! There’s a heart of sweetness, enveloped in an expensive head turning scent that you just can’t put your finger on. I kept getting whiffs of this and was like “wow, that’s me”. Birthday present from my husband and I keep telling him he did “good”. This last on my clothes til the next morning, and on my skin it last all day. If you like Prada Paradoxe, Si Fiori, and other grown up sweet scents, then you’ll probably really enjoy this.

Rhubarb may be my favorite fragrance note ever, and the way this one is blended is... well, perfect. Despite not being a fruit, rhubarb does lend to a fruity floral profile. What I love about rhubarb though, is its tartness that brings a little extra something to a fragrance. It’s the combination of rhubarb and almond milk that sets Perfect apart from other fruity florals, and both notes are expertly balanced with the narcissus. I’m seriously considering making this my go-to fruity floral for this season.

I gotta tell you, I am surprised that I like this perfume as much as I do. It's got a little too much "sweet" at first, but that fades pretty quickly and all that's left (to my nose) is the almond milk. It smells creamy and soft and... edible, like a dessert that isn't too rich or sweet and never palls. And I am a food-smelling-perfume hater so, again, quite surprising. I'm wearing it today to see if I want to buy a full bottle. That's a huge commitment from me and my perfume snobbery!

My first more expensive perfume and probably my favourite. My friend bought it and after smelling it on her I couldn't forget about it. I was a broke 17yo so I didn't have the money to buy it and it took me a YEAR to save up enough. I was thinking about the fragrance at least twice a week. After I bought it, there wasn't a day when I didn't spray it on. Now it's been a few years and I'm just as obsessed with her as before. Elegant but youthful, simple but not boring. I recommend!

i feel like a lot of people don’t like this perfume but omg i love it so so much !!! i think its the rhubarb for me i just love the smell of it, i just wish it lasted longer but i’ve come to learn that you can’t expect much from marc jacobs perfumes in terms of how long they last lol. this was my favorite scent to wear over the summer though as i was starting to get into fragrance so maybe my opinion will change over time but right now its one of my absolute favorites <3

I’m at that point in my collection where if a perfume doesn’t wow me I’m not buying it. This sweet little number won my heart the first time I smelled it. The bottle suckered me in but the scent of rhubarb grabbed me and kept a choke hold in the most feminine way. I’m a Delina addict and this could be its sunnier younger softer cousin. The scent of raspberry and a freshness adds to the whole picture of notes. Will most likely be buying another bottle.

Perfect EDP is a pleasant, sweet, and fresh floral perfume. Easy to wear with weak lasting power and moderate projection. Provides a joyful, feminine, and sophisticated atmosphere. I also have the Elixir and EDT flankers. EDT is a fresher and greener version of the original and I’m not a fan. Elixir is more rich with sweet plum jam overtones. My favorites are Elixir and EDP. I started with the EDP travel spray and just purchased a 100ml bottle.

I'm a newbie to all these fragrance things, and Perfect by Marc Jacobs was my first EDP. I didn't even have a full-sized bottle. I was a broke freshman, so I could only afford the 5ml mini. This perfume smells very bright to me, and somehow, it cheered me up during my hard very first weeks at university. It's a pleasant and joyful scent that's perfect for summer. I especially like the cashmeran in the dry-down.

I always reach for this perfume when I can't decide on what to wear. To me, it smells like "clean" - kind of shampoo-y, very fresh and light. A crowd-pleaser for sure. It's even approved by my mom, who easily gets overwhelmed by most scents. I love the longevity too - it lasts the whole day on my hair/skin, and several days on clothes. I use it so much that I bought the mini, travel size, and full size.

A young, fresh green scent that doesn't lean sweet or floral. Simple, and beautifully pleasant. I received compliments on this one many times and it was my go to office scent for a long period. The longer it sits the less synthetic it feels, and the more i could differentiate the rhubarb and almond from eachother. One of the few marc jacobs that devises its own dna. I only wish it would last longer..

If you want to be told that you smell good, this is the perfect (pun intended) perfume for you! Everytime I wear this I always get compliments saying that I smell nice and fresh. The freshness comes from the rhubarb and there is a slight creaminess from the almond milk. I also get cherry jolly ranchers from this as well. One of my favorites and It’s definitely the prettiest bottle in my collection.

Honestly, I feel like this scent is underhyped. It's playful, clean, and easy to wear for most occasions. A lot of the Marc Jacobs perfumes are a bit juvenile for some, but this one is a bit more grown up-- maybe a late 20's type of perfume. It feels youthful but not /too/ young, and the floral notes are more subdued than Daisy, for example... in a good way!

I thought this was going to be one of those fruity florals that are a dime a dozen, but I’m pleasantly surprised. I think the rhubarb adds just a tiny bit of tartness that sets it apart. Definitely a cousin of Daisy but not as demure. Perfect for office wear and daily use. Would be a nice gift for a young woman. I could see myself buying a full size bottle.

Clean, feminine, soapy but not generic, beautiful, fun, charming, sweet floral fragrance. Perfect for Spring & Summer. Deff a fragrance for us clean girls who love daily showers and fruity sweet fresh scents. Easily one of my favorite perfumes ~ Lasts at least 6-8 hours on my skin, and I can smell it throughout the day. That rhubarb note is amazing.

I really enjoy wearing this. It’s fresh and tangy without being too sweet or juvenile. I prefer the Elixir version and I also quite like the Absolute. However, this is the best for a quick and mindless spray in springtime. The performance doesn’t make it great value, as I only get a couple of hours from it, but it’s a perfume I enjoy nevertheless.

Light and fruity, and quite tart I’m assuming from the rhubarb. To me it smells like those lollipops doctors give you after a checkup as a child (you know those flat, translucent ones?). And I LOVE it. That smell lasts better on clothes than skin. On my wrist we got more floral hints which I didn’t mind albeit I don’t love as much.

Perfect for warmer weather. It's fresh, and clean with just a little sweetness. I ALWAYS receive compliments while wearing this one from men and women alike. Works well in the office, so I would say safe blind buy in my opinion. It projects well, and longevity is up to 6-8 hrs on my skin and hair. My signature of the summer.

i'm impressed. this perfume is very sweet and youthful, but at the same time slightly milky, musky, and even woody. the floral creaminess is the best part. i'm not a fan of sweet/fruity perfumes, as they are usually too harsh and headache-inducing, but this one isn't. it lasts quite a while, too. 8/10.

I love love love this fragrance. It’s fresh, sweet, clean and uplifting. It’s soft, but it’s not like a body spray. It actually smells like flowers and spring/summer. Totally underrated, but that’s ok with me, I would rather be unique with my perfumes. My new favorite fragrance!

This is the perfect office sent! It’s vibrant and sparkling, I always fell joyous when I apply it and I feel like, for the office it’s actually nice that it doesn’t fill the room when you enter but that it only becomes more noticeable when you get close to the person wearing it!

My first ever signature scent! Very girly and clean, the opening is soapy and green with some marshmallow, and it dries into a creamy fresh fragrance that sits close to the skin. Perfect for a cool summer afternoon. It's inoffensive while remaining unique and well-complimented.

My oldest daughter had this one and it instantly edifies my mood!! It’s so fresh and clean!! I love all of the notes listed in it and it smells true to what it is! I’ve worn this and received compliments!!!! I cannot believe I love it but I really do!! 😩💖💖🙌🏾

This really grew on me once March came around! I received a bottle from an event in June of last year, and would occasionally spray it throughout the year. It really shines in the early aughts of spring. A green floral freshie that's good for night and day.

this totally smells perfect and you can literally wear it anytime you want. you just need to wait until it sets on your skin. if you like fresh, soft and a little sweet floral scents then there is no way to not like it. its so awesome and a girly frangrance

I had no idea almond was a note on this perfume. This perfume smell floral and clean to me, the embodiment of spring. The smell is uplifting, happy and feminine. I feel like notes for this perfume are misleading it should be floral, fruity and fresh.

I love how this smells on my girl. Clearly a 10/10. I dont know what does the notes of this fragrance smell like but I personally get lychee, rose, a bit of pear and peach and a little hint of nut. Basically, it is really fruity, young and energetic.

This is a clean, floral, musky and slightly soapy fragrance. It’s very inoffensive and perfect (no pun intended!) for casual weekends and cozy nights in. I wear this and I’m in my mid-40s but it’s also something that my pre-teen daughter would love.

kind of exemplifies my issue with marc jacob fragrances. they present unique concepts, the scents are unique but also inoffensive. however never long-lasting, even with the eau de intense. the rhubarb works well but this dries down really powdery

I got this today in a scent subscription..omg it's gorgeous! The rhubarb is really lush. I'm thinking of a full bottle if I get on with it over the next few weeks. I don't mind if it's soft as I'm having a baby in March so it will be ideal

The opening rhubarb smells so pretty but either this is very linear all day OR I simply do not know what almond milk smells like (I in fact have had almond milk many times). I don't mind it being linear though because it smells nice

I think Perfect is the most beautiful perfume for early spring. To my nose, the rhubarb is the most amazing note in this fragrance. I don't care for it any other time of the year, but in early spring? It's vibrant and perfect!

Just like the name, Perfect. Sweet, fruity, girly, inoffensive & office friendly. I wear this to office whenever I want to give an image of an approachable, laid back and dependable. Smething your best freind would wear.

This perfect perfume smells so perfect. It makes me feel so light and happy. It is a mood booster. It makes me feel girly in a breezy field of flowers drinking almond milk wearing a white cotton dress. I love it.

Perfect is a great strong, fresh powerhouse for summer. Rhubarb is very distinct and can be polarising, but this gives me similar strong fresh vibes as the classic Chloe, which is a staple in my collection.

Even people who don’t usually like floral scents might want to give this one a chance. It’s a very wearable everyday fragrance, but it does need to be reapplied. Its longevity is lower than Irresistible.

This smells like Johnson and Johnson's baby shampoo. I personally like the intense version much more, because it smells more mature. This one is clean and sweet, like a newborn baby.

Your basic sweet fruity floral but I find the almond milk note in this to soften it a bit. I was not expecting to like it so pleasantly surprised but it’s very feminine and cozy.

A cold-like sweet and clean scent which is perfect for any time of day. The notes blended together almost give off a subtle lychee smell. This is easily wearable and beautiful :)
