Marc O'Polo Man 2006

This is a tremendous fragrance. The right blend of fresh spices including a glorious nutmeg note. The overall vibe has a slight bit of Boss Elements (1993) going. Its outdoorsy and incredibly natural smelling. Modern and sophisticated. Smooth, deep and fresh. Great performance also. A perfect fragrance in my opinion.

A lot of people seem to love this, and I can sort of understand why. It has a very fresh, woody, traditional cologne type smell. The oakmoss and nutmeg are evident from first sniff, you also get a hint of the artemisia. It quickly dries down to the woodsy cedar and sandalwood which stays until the fade. Now here's my problem with it, it's dull. There's nothing in this that jumps out at you and sets it apart from the crowd. Also I've found that you need to put quite a lot on or it can just disappear. Work on about .5ml splashed on to give around 3 hours longevity. Sillage is soft to moderate. Named after a great explorer the irony being that this is quite difficult to find. You might just want to try the samples that are readily available on eBay. Marco Polo Man 2006, likeable but not what I would call a classic.

This is the smell of my Boyfriend. whenever he wears this I go mad. it ́s crisp and clear, It ́s early spring, it ́s sea air, it ́s just out of the shower fresh and it holds allday. it ́s a casual scent that goes so well with jeans and yet it ́s crisp and elegant enough to wear at a formal gathering to lighten up the atmosphere among all the musky heavy male scents. It can be a bit hard to find where I live (sthlm, Swe)the big chains seem to favour the newer pure Green.
