Lollipop Bling Ribbon

Lollipop Bling Ribbon by Mariah Carey was one of the first perfumes I ever owned. I remember getting it as a Christmas present in the early 2010s, immediately falling in love with everything about this fragrance--the girly whimsy of the blue and holographic box, the charming opening of blue raspberry Ring Pops and springtime, and, of course, the adorable pink and blue butterfly bottle! I used this one up fast back in the day--after losing the bottle when moving houses, I simply moved on to other fragrances like Taylor Swift's Incredible Things and the beginning of the Ariana Grande fragrance empire, letting this sugary dream become a distant memory. However, around this time of year, I am always flooded with a dizzying nostalgia of things I once loved. After a long, hard 2022, I found this on Amazon and hit "add to cart" in an instant. This purchase was so incredibly worth it! I will say, due to the older age of this fragrance (the bottle I received was from 2011), I fully expected to be (and was) hit with a blast of alcohol upon the first spray. However, after that stinging smell dried down for a few minutes, I was reconnected with that whimsical sweet smell from years past. As with all vintage perfumes, there comes a risk of having totally expired juice inside the bottle, but I was lucky to find that this bottle is nearly as good as it was many moons ago! Echoing what other reviewers have said, this perfume doesn't have the greatest longevity; now, as an older fragrance lover, it makes me totally appreciate this perfume even more (since I notoriously oversprayed all of my perfumes when I first got into collecting). All rambling aside, this is a perfectly sweet, fresh scent that is inoffensive, light, and perfect for the warmer months. Sometimes, all you need is a blast from the candy-coated past to brighten up your perfume collection, and Ribbon is a perfect contender for that :)

I found this on a whim this weekend at our TJ Maxx store...albeit a tiny half ounce one because admittedly, I loved the little bottle and assumed it smelled like something fruity. I haven't bought any of M's other fragrances since I'm usually weary of buying a celeb fragrance before smelling them...but I was pleasantly surprised with this. It's not sickly sweet smelling, but refreshingly sweet. It's a very nice summer scent. Perfect for pool days or hot summer nights out. Initially I get something of a sunkissed raspberry (blue raspberry ring pop), which quickly dries down to a pleasant cucumber melon/dewy white flower with some aquatic notes. I'm sure it's the aquatic notes that keep this from becoming a frag that's just one big fruit bowl. It's an oddly interesting mix when I think about it though...I didn't think I'd like a cross of sunkissed raspberry and cucumber melon as much as this. I really, really like this, I just wish it had more lasting power. I only get a few hours from this one and then its gone unless I spray a few sprays of it, including my clothes.

Oh this is just delicious! First blast is a trip down memory lane, I am pretty sure I had a toy that smelled exactly like this. This is a fresh, sweet scent, on my skin the main note is watermelon. I do not find the scent childish or cheap, the name being "lollipop" is very misleading. This type of scent is exactly the kind of thing I feel Mariah Carey loves. She has a very particular style, sometimes borderline tacky with all the bling and satin robes, I am not picturing Mariah wearing anything very heavy. She is obsessed about looking young, so I think this the type of scent someone like that would wear. Its a sweet, fresh, ozonic perfume, without being a sugar bomb. Perfect for summer, I think it's a seductive scent, my boyfriend loved this type of aquatic sweet scents and I think it's going to be a breeze of fresh air after years chocking him with my 90's aldehyde bombs! The bottle is cute and you can find this online very cheaply so, why not give it a try? Summer is coming!

This is it! My first love! My chemistry takes this fragrance to new heights!! And here I bought this one just to see if I liked other Mariah fragrances better and for the hues of the bottle. This perfume is most definitely NOT for everyone! Upon first spray, it's melony sweet and cotton candy (I enjoyed it). For the first few minutes, it's more reminiscent of watery body sprays than actual perfume. After the first hour, the scent settles onto your person in either a clash or complement. On my skin, it's pure heaven. My chemistry brings out more of the jasmine than the raspberry, and a hint of the cucumber keeps the florals from overpowering. Melons and jasmine love me, who knew? I'm literally going to sleep on this to vote on the longevity tomorrow during the day. But, as of the last three hours, this baby is my first LOVE!

I picked this up in a set (which also included Inseparable and Vision of Love), and I actually like it quite a lot. This is an odd one to me in the sense that, it comes off as a soap-candy-floral-fruit scent. Maybe it's the aquatic note that I'm confusing with the soapiness, but honestly, that's how I'm smelling it. Not that this is a bad combo, it works for me. I think it sits close to the skin after the initial 20-30 or so minutes. It doesn't really radiate that much. The scent that I'm left with is a clean skin, floral-candy sweetness. This one doesn't last too long on me unfortunately. I'd say 2 hours, max. But that's okay. Sometimes I like to spritz something on before bed, and this is perfect for me. Not too soft, yet still giving off a beautiful scent to enjoy. This is a definite repurchase once I run out!

This is the perfume you wear if you want to be noticed, and if you love fruity, in-your-face, yummy fragrances. The sillage is enormous, and the lasting power is excellent. I can imagine this would not be everyone's taste however as it is strong, but it is very pleasant, and in one word (or two) I would say this is yummy, and delicious. It's the type of fragrance for a confident, flirty girl or woman. A perfume I always get compliments on when I wear it, but it is probably not for the faint of heart or shy woman. No spice, all fruit and floral. It's a classic in my collection. It is reminiscent of Ralph by Ralph Lauren (the blue one) and Sunset Heat by Escada. It is delicious.

I got Ribbon yesterday after sampling all three of the lollipop bling collection, I was looking for a fresh sweet smelling perfume for spring and this this was my fave! It smells yummy, like palmo violets, (the purple sweets you can get) with a twist of raspberry to it. Its not sickening at all to me, its fresh fruity and slightly aquatic. my new fragrance for spring/summer 2011. Could I possibly love this fragrance anymore?!?!? It & That Chick are my favorite scent out of the whole Lollipop Bling line! the best thing about this collection is it was designed so you can wear more then one at a time. I reccomend wearing this scent with Honey b/c together it gives you a sense that you've just walked into a candy store that also sells tropical flowers & exotic fruits near the beach in the middle of summer :D

I found this online no joke for $2.99 for a 20mls bottle so Based on the notes it sounded like something I would LOVE and I was right! This is beautiful! This is lovely! It’s so nice. It’s perfectly girly, light, office/work safe great for spring or summer but it’s got a freshness to it that makes it something you can wear year round. I absolutely am going to buy more!!

This is just one of those intoxicatingly delicious fragrances. Not for the shy or the faint-of-heart. ♡ It has an amazing sillage and lasting power. I have owned it twice over the years, and my current one smells just as delicious as the one I had years ago. A+ It smells similar to Ralph by Ralph Lauren, but I like this one better. It is more feminine.

I used to think this would be my favorite of the 3, but I kind of like Mine Again a lot better now, because it lasts longer and has some more personality. I still really like this scent though, and I'm glad I have the roller ball! They're all 3 so cute I love the fact that they actually look like lollipops as rollerballs.

I've had this for so long now in my perfume rotation and its one of my favorites for spring and summer. On me this smells like fizzy raspberries with hints of melon and sugar with a slight aquatic vibe...its a refreshing scent that lasts long and I love it!!!

I haven't smelt it yet but I can honestly imagine its rich and sophisticated smell. I mean, floral and blue raspberry ring pop?! AMAZING BOTTLE TOO :) i'm gonna buy this one first!!

Amazing perfume. I Love the scent.

So.. before I start my review, I want to note that Mariah Carey's fragrances are largely responsible for why I'm a perfume collecter. I'm obsessed with her fragrances; the scents, the bottles, the packaging, everything. I. freaking. love. them. That being said, I am going to try and make this review as less biased as possible and take Mariah out of the equation for a second so I can judge the fragrance solely for the fragrance. I believe that this might be my least favorite Mariah perfume.. either this one or Never Forget You from Lollipop Splash. All of her other fragrances have been love at first sniff except for those two, and I will explain why Ribbon is one of those two. It's the least "candy inspired" smelling scent that I've possibly ever smelt, I can't believe that this was marketed as a "lollipop" scent. The main notes are misleading with the sugar, while you might get some sweetness with this scent, it's definitely not a candy sugar smell, it's a very fresh, natural sweetness. It's a very very powdery fragrance with fresh fruit and some slight natural sweetness from that fruit. I want to clarify that this scent is so much more fresh than it is sweet. There is also something very transparent about the scent, it's almost as if the notes aren't mixed properly. Sometimes it will wear as a heavily cucumber influenced scent and other times it will be powdery raspberry. There is also a heavy "baby lotion" note to this fragrance, it smells exactly like a heavily marketed baby lotion with some powdery fruit in the back ground. Hence why I said that I couldn't believe that this was marketed as a candy inspired scent.. it's quite possibly one of the freshest fragrances I've ever tried. The freshness stays throughout the entire fragrance, actually coming out even more in the end. The powder is always there but slowly dissipates through the fragrance, taking a backseat during the dry down. Reason being that although it's a top note, the cucumber comes out heavily in the end, taking care of some of that powder since cucumber is a very crisp, fresh, watery note. To recap, it's a nice fragrance, but not one of my favorites. Doesn't smell "candy inspired", very fresh, very powdery, and it has a heavy "baby lotion" smell. I get about 4-5 hours out of this fragrance which isn't great, but not terrible either. I don't find myself wearing this very often, it definitely takes a back seat to many of my other wonderful Mariah fragrances.

Bought the full 100ml of this over the weekend and gave it a few wears to gain my full opinion of it. Ribbon is definitely the most "lollipop" or candy inspired perfume compared to the two others. I also have 'Mine Again' however I don't like it as all I got from it was a strong musky mint smell. Ribbon however has a more sweeter smell it it. There's no musk, no detectable base really. It just straight out smells like a raspberry flavoured lollipop/candy. This fragrance is kind of like chewing gum... it doesn't smell like chewing gum but when chewing gum loses it's flavour quickly then you're just left with a clean taste in your mouth? When you first spray Ribbon the sweetness is intense, but after drying down for a few minutes it loses it's "flavour" or its scent, and goes from sweet to just fresh and clean. I really wish the sweetness stayed however it doesn't at all. The scent isn't long lasting either - after an hour the fragrance vanishes without a trace. I rate this perfume a 6/10. I'm obsessed with the bottle, in fact all the butterfly bottles Mariah has released i've made a collection out of. Ribbon's packaging in particular is my favourite out of the three lollipop blings and her whole fragrance collection generally. The scent is a great everyday wear, but I wouldn't wear this if I was looking to dress up or go out on an occasion. I originally had no intention of buying Ribbon, I was looking for Circus Fantasy by Britney Spears however they stopped selling it for whatever reason I don't know of. I heard this perfume was a lighter dupe of the Circus Fantasy and I couldn't agree more. If you're looking for a longer lasting, sweeter version get Circus Fantasy, if you though CF was too heavy and sweet, and want a lighter more natural perfume, go after this one. As for repurchasing, I would only feel the need to get this again if it was on sale...wouldn't pay full price.

Bought this just a few days ago,on clearance,at Wally World,for all of $7! It's a 15 ml,so it's small enough that if I hate it,I won't feel bad giving it away.And if I like it,I'll use it up fairly quickly,and I'll feel like it was a good deal! Anyway,on to the scent itself:very sweet,but in a fresh,fruity way,not sugary at all.Just a lot of fresh,almost overripe honeydew,with a bit of cucumber.Honestly,this smells exactly like Carried Away from B&BW. I mean EXACTLY! It's dead on ,so depending on where and when you pick this one up,it could be a good dupe for carried Away,or vice versa. Considering the price I paid,I won't mind using this and saving my Carried Away. Longevity and sillage were weak,a skin scent that barely lasts two hours.carried away projects better and lasts longer,and that's the fine fragrance mist,not even the EDT! Final verdict,nice,fruity floral,not too sweet,great for the younger set,tweens to mid twenties,though I'm 37 and I felt perfectly comfortable wearing it.For the price,regular price that is,I'd go with the Carried Away. The bottle is adorable,with the butterfly top,and pretty pink and blue color scheme,but to be honest,just nice,nothing spectacular,or original here. I'll finish the .5 oz ,but won't buy it again.I have two bottles of Carried Away to enjoy instead!

I was lucky enough to find a full 3.4 ounce bottle of this brand new at Ross a few days ago for less than twenty bucks after wanting to try it for months and I'm very glad I did. Ribbon is one of the three main fragrances that Mariah released as part of her candy inspired Lollipop Bling collection, and honestly, Ribbon is the only one that ACTUALLY smells like candy to me. I really love it despite a lot of people saying it smells "cheap"... to me it has a really fun sugary raspberry smell that's perfect for warm weather daytime wear. The lasting power is fairly impressive for an eau de parfum as well... I sprayed one spray on each of my wrists and one on my chest this morning and the smell radiated in the air around me for almost seven hours. I got plenty of compliments and I overall really enjoyed wearing it. Not to mention the bottle is definitely the prettiest of the collection and looks like a gorgeous blue summer sky with a luminescent light pink fading towards the bottom. I recommend Ribbon for anyone who's wanting a simple yet memorably sweet and sugary fragrance... to me it smells very flirty, so it might be perfect for a date. :)

I smell a blue raspberry candy like a ring pop or any hard candy with that flavor lol (since thats what inspired the singer to create this fragrance =3) this fragrance is very simple, cute and sweet! not too exciting but not so blah and dull either! and the bottle sure is cute too! lovely color scheme and design! when I first sprayed this to give it a smell test I could diffidently smell the first 3 notes, which are of course raspberry, melon and cucumber which would come off as fresh and clean >w< and the dry down which is the best part smells very sugary! longevity? not so long but hey it smells nice so who cares? im one of those who likes to change scents every now and then Im not gonna say that this is "just for teens" since it seems thats all people comment about celebrity fragrances and because its sweet and sugary! I personally believe this can be worn by anyone at least 30! this scent like any other candy scent can sure be a good pick me up for people who feel like being happy and youthful! overral, this is just one of those fragrances to wear for simple and casual days like going to work or something! not too wow but not so blah!

I really like the smell of this perfume, and plan to buy more in the future. I just wish that the bottles were bigger for the price that was paid. I love the sweet scent of the blue raspberry ringpop. The bottle could have been a bit more creative (perhaps in the shape of a ring pop) but I still like the scent a lot. It has a perfect amount of sweetness, so its not too sweet, but its not too subtle. Ribbon is definitely the best out of the three fragrances. The bottle was pretty ( I like the blue bottle with the hints of pink on the bottom) and it smells terrific. I highly recommend this perfume to younger ladies, because the light girly scent will brighten your day with one spritz. (older ladies, do us a favor and don't wear this!! itll make you seem like your trying to look younger!) overall this was a great buy ( the price was reasonable) and I LOVE THIS FRAGRANCE!! :)

After researching Mariah's fragrances,found this gem at Ross for $9.99/50ml.Fell completely in love with the cutesy girly ombre bottle and the fresh fruity scent. Originally my mom (in her late 50s) stole this from me,which was a first as she normally doesn't like sweet fruity fragrances.I've since sneaked it back into my collection and think that this is a fragrance that can be worn by a woman of any age (I'm in my early 30s). I get raspberries and sugar,with a fresh water-like note that must be coming from the melon/cucumber.It does remind me of blue slurpees and popsicles,cool and juicy and great for summer! Lasting power is amazing on me, sprays in each of the inner elbow and on chest, neck and back projects a nice cloud for about an hour or two, then fades to a nice skin scent and stays on clothes overnight. Well done Mariah!

ok, so after a week of trying this out after buying it, i've come to my decision that i like it, and here's my thoughts: A few years back i was searching for a candy raspberry perfume and i came across the lollipop bling collection. I unfortunately was not able to find this anywhere that was cheap, but i finally found a tester on ebay for 9 bucks. Upon first smell, i got a tinge of raspberry in the opening but it was almost cough syrup like; it literally smelled like febreeze and pine sol. The drydown didn't meet my standards as it smelled similar to that popular scent 'sweet pea' Overall I disliked it at first but i feel quite used to the scent now. Not to mention, it does not last! It lasts 3 hours max on me and even then the musk is the only thing that i'm able to smell.

I bought this twice at tj Maxx and loved it. The sugar, fruit, vanilla, aquatic, musk all blends together nicely. If you like vs PINK warm and cozy or cool and bright then you might like this. I saved it for date nights bc it's only smell-able from a couple feet away and after about 3 hrs it weakens but for the value I got it at it worked great and served its purpose. However both times I bought it, the sprayer broke and I would have to spend time trying to fix it over and over. I loved it tho. P.s. does anyone remember when MC first came out with perfume and while promoting on TRL or maybe 106 & park she said she doesn't wear perfume bc of the chemicals yet she was there to talk about the fragrance lol. I still like it, it would be a good perfume for your bag.

So I am new to this collection. I thought I would give this a dabble, as I lean towards sweet scents. So that is the first element I would like to point out - there is no sweetness. None that I could detect. There are two main properties to this scent The first is tropical. Each time I spray, its a different smell. Sometimes its cucumber, or melon, or pineapple. But which it is, its tropical. It isnt sweet. But it is delicious. Then, the scent settles into a woody bottom. It is strong at first, but slowly fades, so that within an hour or so, its gone. Heat of any sort brings it back. In summary, its not sweet or long lasting. It is tropical, woody, and best for day wear. The bottle is pretty, but I do personally like butterflies. I like it. But its not a love.

This is a fresh, lightly sweet, floral/ melon scent with a very subtle musky drydown. The longevity is on the low end of moderate, and the sillage is soft, a "skin scent" for sure! I tried a sample of Ribbon, and liked it enough to buy a bottle that was half-price on sale, but I don't think I will buy another bottle unless the sillage and longevity are improved. I really had to overspray this one! Of course, her bottles are lovely, which is another reason I bought the perfume when it went on sale!

This scent reminds me of Bieber's "Someday". It is pleasant, but not fruity enough for me. I can smell the florals in this a lot, and although the floral notes are soft and not overbearing - it is not what I expected from this perfume. I thought that based on the reviews, that it would be a heavily fruity scent, however, this is not the case. The perfume itself is not offensive though and would be good for springtime with its mild but quite noticeable floral notes.

I do like the smell of this perfume. Leaves a soft, very light, dreamy berry scent on my skin. Reminds me of sitting down with a bowl of raspberries and crème with a bit of sugar. Not what I would call a "sticky" sweet smell. The only problem I have with Ribbon is the longevity. Needs a heavy spray first thing in the morning, and a few sprays throughout the day to keep the scent. Overall, just a nice summer berry scent with a bit of a musk upon drying down.

So.... The scent is not sometthing I would have bought for myself. But my 6 yr old?Hell yes. She loved my honey bottle and wanted one for herself. She really loves the butterfly so when I saw this HUGE bottle at TJmaxx for 19 bucks I got it for her. I sprayed it and it perfect for a day in 2nd grade and it won't bother her teacher. It's light and young. Hours later I still smell the berry and cucumber. But me, ill stick to my honey;)

All of the bottles are beautiful but this one is the standout. I like this one too but it isn't my favorite of the trio. It is bright, fresh and fruity. People may hate me for saying this but all of these in the set are better than Mariah's other fragrances. As of yet I do not own a single Mariah Carey Fragrance but I plan on purchasing each one in the Lollipop Bling series!!! ;'D

this bottle is soooo GORGEOUS! it smells like a blue raspberry blowpop but not in a sweet sickening way or kiddish at all! it smells like a floral aquatic with a twist of raspberry. i (think) its my favorite out of lollipop. but there all SO GOOD its very hard to choose! this is a PERFECT summer scent!!! honey- yellow bottle ribbon- blue/pink bottle mine again- red bottle

I like Ribbon far more than Britney's Circus and I couldn't believe I found Ribbon and the rest of the Blings in 3.3oz's today! I only had Ribbon in a rollie so this is a fun, and massive, addition to my collection. I kind of want Honey in that massive yellow bottle! Haha. Here's hoping the Remix's become 3.3oz's. : ) Oh and they were 19.99 at Ross. : )

I really liked this perfume so I ended up buying it. But I decided to sell it now because the lasting power is SO BAD! I'm not kidding you when I say that this lasted 30 mins to an hour on me. That's not acceptable considering that this is $35 for 1 oz. I miss the blue raspberry scent tho :( if this lasted longer, I would re-buy it.

Honestly Im a sucker for a sweet, sugary, candy-esque scent, and this delivers. On me, personally, I get a very strong hit of raspberry (almost bubblegum). I find it lasts quite a while on my skin, but I find it can give me a headache if I use too much or reapply too many times. Im also a sucker for the adorable bottle.

Bling ribbon is light and ethereal, with just a touch of aquatic and a hint of sweet. It almost feels like it isn't a perfume, but a distant memory of an enchanting smell. I have a small sample and I'm sure I'll enjoy it, however not sure I'll be wanting to buy it, maybe only if I find a really really good deal.

A clean, sweet scent. I can only echo what others have already said here. Most apparent scents are the melons and sugar. It's a good feel-clean-in-jeans-and-a-t-shirt scent. It would also be appropriate for younger girls and teens. Doesn't have much sillage on me, but then again, most perfumes don't.

Ribbon is probably my favorite of the Lollipop Blings. Its a nice sugary raspberry fragrance. Its very refreshing and perfect for the summer. Its a nice fruity floral. Its nothing to go crazy about but its nice. I prefer Ribbon over Circus Fantasy which is another raspberry sugary fragrance. : )

Strong, pleasantly sweet and sugary, not nauseatingly Ozonic. My first impression, i thought it had Hyacinth and Lily. But i can definitely tell it's Cucumber Canteloupe, dead on. Turns into a powdery Raspberry as it dries, resembling a nice skin lotion. very "beachy" and appetizing.

I’m enjoying the aquatic part of this fragrance. Fun and fresh. Not overly sweet. Longevity could be better. Smells inexpensive like a body spray. I like it and will wear it again! 🙂

Smells like blue alcopop. Really refreshing for summer days, the lasting power is just enough for school/college/uni but not a going out perfume despite the boozy element.

This has a sort of bubble gum note. I'd call it a fruity fragrance, but I agree with the reviewers who get an aquatic note too.

This one has troubled me for years, and it's currently my oldest item. The juice truly doesn't vibe with the bottle at all, the packaging, or the name. It's actually quite unsweet and it's better used for occasions where you want a fragrance that will marry your skin and pheromones without leaping off them and smelling "perfumey". It isn't exactly like Molecule 01, or Juliette Has a Gun Not a Perfume though; it's not a one-note-wonder. There's some body to this, but it's waifish in it's frame. It's a fresh type of scent, and I agree that it's ozonic. Top notes seem to me to be a white grapefruit, blended with the artificial flavoring of green apple sans the usual corn syrup or sugar that accompanies such candies. Very strange, but not unenjoyable. For a year or so this was my babysitting/young mom fragrance (I had both my own 2 babies and babysat quite often) because this is SO mild and inoffensive, but it does totally freshen your clothing and smells almost like clean crisp air perfumed with cucumbers and raspberries. It's really difficult to describe and annoyingly incongruent with it's marketing. Nothing whatsoever about this is reminiscent of lollipops or candy, it's not sugary.

I smell the sweetness, the aquatic quality, and the freshness in the perfume. When I smell this, I immediately think of a yummy cocktail during summer days! While it is sweet, I don't think it's overloaded with sugar. It isn't syrupy at all. It's very fresh and yummy and light :)
