At the beginning a lot lavenders, the moist forest when after the downpour comes the sun. The scent is elegant , warm stays with wild flowers and a resin. I have a sample and how I will open the cork then the scent if it wanted to jump out. All in with him goes round , effervesces. On the skin after 2 hours nicely ,gently it lies . Is mad. :)

Pure resin. No burnt wood smokiness, no real depth - just the smell of fresh resin, invoking the feeling of a hike in the woods. The floral aspect of this is entirely lost on me - perhaps I could it sense a little in the drydown, but it was fleeting. It’s a very particular perfume, I would imagine it to be a sentimental scent perhaps, but it’s not an intriguing composition to me. Its sole focus is one note, the evolution is uneventful and the longevity is way below average (1-2h maximum).

Very interesting, but disappeared from my skin in 20 minutes. I guess that someone else might have more luck in terms of lasting power, but anyway I strongly suggest to try it on skin before buying...

Listening to Grace Jones growl & purr the lyrics to 'la Vie En Rose' I recall an era through lace; of Russian tea rooms and poverty soup, hand-me-down tweed overcoats and the last bus home. Madly MariaLux is the stolen child of Mystere de Rochas. She has many hereditary traits and although her own individuality shines through she cannot easily dismiss the suggested heritage. More people should experience this underground beauty. It is sublime.
