Mogadess

I don't know if that was the idea but yes this is a perfume that smells like a goddess . It is slightly incense, the bitter orange feels very good and over it you feel something spicy but not a little spicy, no spicy like a full 🌶️ in a bottle, the cardamom is more green than usual I think maybe because of the rhubarb and of course tagetes give it a slight sense of tea. It's a linear scent, but some notes still tend to feel stronger or finer in different stages. It is a perfume that would suit a goddess but not any goddess, I can't feel a power vibe like in Artemis case or an omniscient intelligence like Athena, is more a Themis perfume, calculated but fair, always rigorous, still empathically, more observer than speaker and at the same time with a passion that can become bloody. It is a perfume that I like a lot, I can't say that I adore it but I do like it when I use it, even if rarely.I admit that I use it in certain situations to complete my outfit,as when I participate as a shareholder in a meeting between the main shareholder and the management for example, in a situations where I have to be objective, to listen well and take a decision, this is what Mogadess exprime to me, a balanced rigorous fragrance, without doubt cold but still with a lighting vibe.

Wow! Xmas in a bottle. There is an intense spicy opening which must be the chilli but that quickly wanes. From then on its all about lightly spiced (chilli, cardamom and a little cinnamon) juicey oranges. I did detect the cocoa followed by elemi, marigold and strawberry. It did make me think of a chocolate/orange liqueur for a little while. My only concern is that it doesn't hang around long and the sillage wasn't very good, so sadly not fb worthy for me. I envy those who find it really lasts on them.

A beautiful fragrance that reminds me of Christmas. It opens with sweet cinnamon and bitter orange. As it dries down more cardamom comes through. A gorgeous spicy fragrance for the cooler months. This is very warm and cozy. The bottle is just gorgeous too!

This is superb - I will be getting a full bottle of this. It's a warm winter gourmand with prominent cinnamon, vanilla and red pepper notes.I would not be surprised to see mixed reviews of this - I always consider gourmands without prominent non-edible undertones to run the risk of being too much of a "baking" scent rather than something that people would like to wear. It's no different in this case - many people say it's reminiscent of the Christmas period, obviously due to the presence of the gingerbread spices, bitter orange and frankincense. I would not wear it outside the house because of that, but it's a great option if you want to sit around the house and simply smell pleasantly. It has a very pleasant, vanillary drydown that's worth waiting for. Something certainly went wrong with the formulation - all of the notes have a fairly high volatility which means that the fragrance starts out strongly, has a fairly flat evolution and disappears fast. I would say 2-3 hours logevity, but the projection is massive. I do agree that the visual presentation is rather tacky - I shall still give it a full-bottle run.

I couldn't put it any better than archivist, so I am not even going to try - just read her thoughts below. However, I have to report that this perfume is the first to ever give me a skin reaction. I sprayed it in the crook of my arm and there are two big, aggressively red spots there now, one from the original spray (extending way beyond the edges of the tiny spray I did) and one on the opposite side (due to my upper arm and forearm touching each other when I keep my arm in certain positions). As such I don't think I will be able to wear this.

This fragrance is a true cinnamon bomb with a slight hint of bitter orange in the background. As it dries down, the cinnamon softens, and the cardamom becomes more prominent. The final drydown of this fragrance reveals woody notes, bringing it to life. It's a warm winter gourmand with distinct notes of cinnamon, vanilla, and pepper, making for a very complex and creamy scent that's close to the skin

A warm scent of cinnamon, oranges,sweetness, medium spicy. This scent takes me back to the lovely Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays of all the spicy, sweet, fruit smells cooking, scented candles and the warmth of a home. This favors Hermes Merveilles but warmer and softer instead of Hermes having strong orange notes and musk. I will be adding Mogadess to my niche perfume collection.

When I first sampled this all I could think of was pizza. There's this spicy herbal smell much like Italian herbs. It changes a lot though, which makes it really cool to wear since I get something different each time I smell it. Now and again it smells like pure smoked wood, and other times the orange rind peeks through. Very cool, though not my taste.

Today I was organizing one of my perfume wardrobes when I found a tiny bottle of this perfume(It's 60ml but it looks tiny). I couldn't remember for the life me that where did this perfume come from and how come do I have it without even knowing it. I came to conclusion that I must have received it in a swap six or seven years ago when I was a true perfume junkie. smelling it from the nuzzle, I could detect a distinct cocoa note and spices which somehow reminded me of Oriflame Love Potion. judging by that and also it's bottle I thought it must be a celebrity fragrance. imagine my surprise when I checked Fragrantica and saw it's an expensive niche perfume! I was so glad to find a new perfume in my collection and couldn't wait to try it on my skin. It opens very spicy and kind of weird but after a short while it settles down to something nicer. something unique but also very familiar. I couldn't stop thinking that which perfume is it reminding me because I haven't tried any of the fragrances mentioned here as familiar ones. then suddenly it came to me. this is like a love child of Etra Etro and Rihanna Rebelle!! Mogadess has a spicyness very similar to Etra Etro. they share a lot of notes so it's no surprise. but Mogadess also has a noticeable cocoa+strawberry that makes it different with Etra. that strawberry + cocoa is reminding me of strawberry + cocoa in Rihanna Rebelle, specially Rebelle's first hour. in Rebelle both cocoa and strawberry are stronger and more noticable while in in Mogadess they're more muted.Rebelle also has a coffee note and goes to a different direction as it dries down(a more interesting one which is ironic being a cheapie) but still I'm pretty sure if I layer Rebelle and Etra Etro, I will have a scent at least 80% similar to Mogadess. As Mogadess dries down, lots of spices fade away and all I can smell is a fruity cacao wrapped by warmer,rounder,sweeter base notes. I find it an interesting unisex perfume but eventhough I'm a hardcore gourmand lover something in it's cocoa-strawberry-spices combo makes me feel sick.I have the same problem with Rihanna Rebelle which is a shame because I really wanted to love it. I'm going to give Mogadess to my husband and I hope he enjoys it because I'm sure he has nothing even remotely similar to this این عطر انگار بچه اترا اترو و ریحانا ربله هست. نتهای اسپایسیش واسم بشدت یادآور اترا اترو هست و ترکیب کاکائو و توت فرنگیش شبیه ریحانا ربل(اونی که قرمزه) هست. عطر خاص و جالبیه اما متاسفانه یکم حالمو بد میکنه همونطور که ریحانا ربله حالمو بد میکنه. اگه ترکیب توت فرنگی و کاکائو تو ماریامقدس رو دوس داشتید توصیه میکنم ریحانا ربله رو که کلی ارزونتره امتحان کنید. البته ربله به اندازه مقدس اسپایسی نیست(مقدس هم فقط نیم ساعت اولش بشدت اسپایسیه،بعدش یواشتر میشه)، ضمنا توت فرنگی و کاکائو تو ربله محسوستر و قویتر هستن. ربله نت قهوه هم داره و تو داری داون مسیر متفاوتی رو میره(درای داون ربله جالبتره بنظرم) بااینحال ارزش امتحان کردن داره. ضمنا بااینکه ریحانا ربله اسما زنونه ست اما درعمل به اندازه همین عطر میتونه یونیسکس باشه

IT. Un profumo incredibile come tutte le creazioni di Alessandro Gualtieri (Nasomatto). L'ho provato per la prima volta nella fiera di Milano 6 mesi fa e oggi finalmente è arrivato. I fiori di calendula e cardamomo... che mix explosivo! Anche se siano addolciti con la cannella e vaniglia, il risultato finale è una dolcezza amara e legnosa, un'armadio della nonna pieno delle creme e saponi nelle scatole di cartone, dei ritagli di velluto e ventagli di quel epoca magica che ormai non torna più. EN. This perfume is amazing like all creations of Alessandro Gualtieri (Nasomatto). I tried it for the first time in Milan fair 6 months ago and today it finally arrived. The flowers of marigold and cardamom so great idea! It's explosive! Even if they're sweetened with cinnamon and vanilla, the result is just a bitter woody sweetness, a wardrobe full of grandma's creams and soaps in cardboard boxes, scraps of velvet and hand fans from that magic epoch which won't ever come back.

This perfume truly evokes another era, in a totally unexpected way. I imagine a Victorian lady detective; an international woman of mystery, her flat filled with curios from her voyages to distant lands. On a sunny window sill, you find a hand-carved fragrant Mysore sandalwood chest lined with rosewood. Upon opening it, you are met with a burning blast of real cinnamon red-hot candies, which happen to be resting next to some fresh strawberry pastilles. You take one - it burns your tongue a bit, yet feels strangely pleasant. Then you spot the odd botanical mementos: a sachet filled with marigold petals releasing their bitter herbaceous scent; another filled with the bright zest of orange peel, orange blossoms and spicy cardamom; and another with raw frankincense pellets, cacao and vanilla pods, rich and milky. At the bottom of the trunk, you find a small cedarwood box that holds just one small, smooth ball of ambergris. Next to it is a stack of old love letters, edges torn and dusty, that you dare not touch. The woods are ever-present throughout the spicy intensity, and eventually take over as the fragrance morphs into a woody, creamy strawberry with soft spice. Not at all what I expected, but it's whimsical and wonderfully complex!

i never liked any of her perfumes like i liked this one, it is a love at first sniff!! unconsciously when i first sampled this in a niche perfume shop, the very next day i went back and bought it right away! i really wonder how it doesn't have that star anise or anise in general listed as a major note! it reminds me so much of a hot drink that Arabs loves specially the musicians for their vocal cords called yansoon (شاي يانسون) or anise tea, it's main ingredient is the anise. older people who has diabetes loves to drink it with sugar to sweetisize it a bit because it's kind of bitter, so they add 1 or 2 spoons of sugar to it but never mix, as the sugar sinks in that hot drink till it resides at the bottom of the teacup. so after drinking the hot drink, by then you can smell this perfume... the mixage of sugar, cinnamon, anise, & water. quite good and imaginatively charming.

I received this in a swap with a fabulous Fragrantican and I'm so happy I did. It is gorgeous and it's perfect for Autumn. It opens with a realistic cinnamon and some cocoa. Then there is the beautiful harmony of orange and spice with cardamon and coriander and chili. It's simply beautiful and wonderfully spicy. The dry down is softer with amber, vanilla, and soft woods but there's still all that luscious spice. So unexpected and so gorgeous.

First spray - dry dry cinnamon, like you put your nose directly into milled cinnamon. In 5 min it gets sweeter, biter orange gettings prominent. It stays 2-3 hours with sweet (but not over!) orange+cinnamon+vanilla, very Christmassy scent. Then it calms down and sets into soft vanilla/benzoin base, which lasts around 8 hours, quite close to skin. It's nice, comforting, but nothing groundbreaking, and more smells like kitchen then perfume.

I was gifted this one. If you don't know what's in it, it just smells awkward and weird. I wanted to know what I was smelling, and now it makes sense. It's cinnamon, rhubarb and bitter orange. I like it a little. The bottle is unattractive. I've smelled a lot worse.

The sandalwood in the drydown refers to a Black Afgano or a languid and diluited Stercus, so that brings down all the amazing and gourmand originality of the pyramid.

Mogadess means holy or sacred. It's an Arabic word. Mogadess=مقدس
