Mariella

When compared to the other Mariella Burani this one has a bigger fruity presence. Peach in particular and the other Mariella with the roses on the lid has lemon in the top notes instead but other than that these 2 fragrances are quite similar. Like twin sisters who are only told apart by people who really, really know them. One of the sisters may have a different freckle pattern on her face or may have a slightly different shade of the same eye color. Both of these beautiful fragrances are vanillic and rosewood infused hazy floral powdery Orientals. They have that 90s style about them. Which I adore. In The same category as Gucci Accenti, Patou' L'huere Attendue, and Chaldee. If you love floral, sweet fruity powdery and hazy Oriental fragrances you can go wrong with either of the Mariella fragrances. If you like Guerlain Samsara or EL Tuscany per Donna as well.

I'm not sure this is a fragrance I could recommend. It's not exciting...not a statement maker...not unusual in any way that might appeal to a risk taker. Average, by most standards. Forget longevity and projection. It IS, however, somehow PERFECT for me. Mariella is soft, insistent, vulnerable and womanly. It's comfortable in ways only a long time lover gets to see...... the no pretense, unguarded, make-up off kind. You know those Sunday mornings you spend in bed talking for hours, whispering fears and dreams? When it's completely acceptable to feel fragile and know you're protected. Well, so does Mariella. A lovely, well blended faintly floral sandalwood/vanilla mystery. To be honest, the most pronounced note for me seems to be memories.

I personally like it, it's one of the heavier, more sweet&oriental smells. I recommend it for the cold seasons, might be a bit too much for summer.

Wowy =) I didn't expect to find this one on here =) I remember i got this as a welcome home gift set many many years ago from some family friends. I was in my early teens and i didn't really have a "signature" fragrance back then... i was mostly... all over the place, so i didn't appreciate its true value at the time. Now however i can recognize its beautiful qualities and really appreciate it for what it was... and i must say it was a true niche perfume. It smelled like nothing else that i have had and probably wont ever encounter again. It was a well blended mix of opposites... sour citrus like notes mixed in with deep woody flowery ones. It shape shifted during the day and it was truly one of a kind. One other rare quality that it had and i appreciated it even more for it...was the fact that both the shower gel and the body lotion had the exact same scent... not similar... not partial, but exactly the same! And honestly during the summer it was enough to use the shower gel and put on a bit of the lotion and it would smell like u actually had the perfume on. Not to mention that all 3 products had fantastic longevity. Just an all round wonderful creation =) I really wish i could find it again. Its really not a common fragrance! This smells like sweet peach and soft amber, and also like a baby? Not like baby wipes or baby powder or anything, but like smelling a baby’s head. It’s nice! With the notes and date I was worried it would be super heavy, but it’s light and fresh and powdery. It smells uncomplicated. I got a vintage bottle, so take this with a grain of salt - it may be the way the bottle was stored or the age - but there’s basically no projection. I needed to have nose to skin immediately to smell it. It projects better on clothes. It’s become my go-to work scent!

This was a collection I bought years ago in a bunch of 30mls. She was hiding among them. Hard to categorise, but so feminine and a niche perfume I think. I think if Mariella was your signature perfume people would be able to pick you out in a crowd, if you were wearing it. Its unique and quite distinctive. Need to visit this vintage more often.

Victoria`s Secret Amber Romance reminds me a lot of this perfume. Obviously Amber Romance is no where near as complex but for those wanting something similar and more budget friendly it's worth a sniff at least.

This is remarkably different, almost like a niche perfume. What you get first is a blend of bergamot and woods with some undefined flowers. Soon the smell changes even woodier, and a strange, a sort of burned odour like roasted, dry vanilla (or some aromatic log smouldering on fire), becomes very noticeable. Peach, not too sweet, not too recognizable, accompanies everything. Mariella is a stylish, skillfully composed perfume. It is warm but also a bit fresh and a bit spicy at the same time. Longevity is very good for EDT while sillage is medium.

Okay, I don't know why Lutece was put up here as a similarity. That is not from me. I would have said reminds me more of Tresor in the beginning but shortly it mellows. I took a chance on this one without a single review and while it's nice, it disappears within two hours. It leaves a sweetness on the skin but so faintly I can barely detect. I had such High hopes, the bottle is very pretty. Too bad really. Well at least for anybody wondering....it's one review at least.

I was so excited to love this, but it reads VERY musk to me. Granted, it’s not my favorite note, but I think the heliotrope amplifies is somehow? For me it’s a scrubber, no offense to those who love it. Got a cap-free 50 ml EdT bottle at a decent price and I’m happy to sell at my cost, PM me if you’re interested.
