Fo-Ti-Tieng

This is incredible and different. There is powdery iris for sure, and an almost natural gas/petrol odor in the top. There is no fruit, carnation, jasmine or ylang to my nose. Osmanthus is there. And an almost tealike quality. It is very floral on a cool day. I love it.

I've gotten to like this one, and the bottle it comes in. The fragrance is very subdued. I can't discern any particular notes, but it does have a minty like scent, to my nose at least. However, mint isn't listed as a note. And of course there is the amber. Overall, it's very pleasant. I wear it sometimes when I go to bed, because it's a very comfortable, cozy sort of fragrance. I would definitely wear it in public, too! The price was very reasonable- two bottles (3.4 oz each) for a total of $50. I gave one of the bottles as a gift. I bought it off of HSN.

This is from the HSN website for FO TI Tieng: "About the Fragrance: Through the ages, Fo-Ti-Tieng has been thought to be a potent flower with many uses. In China, it has been said that it was used in tea and in the bath water to stir emotions. The sensual notes of Fo-Ti-Tieng are combined with ylang-ylang and osmanthus and blended with cassie, carnation and jasmine (the flower of unconditional love)." I find it to be warm, inviting, a teensy bit soapy. Marilyn's fragrance are beautiful, sillage moderate, and longevity outstanding!!!

Pleasantly fresh. The bottle has an image of what I think is supposed to be bamboo. I don't think there is an actual bamboo note in this but it does have kind of a relaxing tea garden vibe.
