Goddess

I found a limited edition bottle of this while looking for a vintage bottle of Pheromone. I blind bought it because it was inexpensive and I was absolutely enamored with the fact that it's called Goddess in a bottle that looks like the Venus de Milo statue. Very fitting. When I looked up the notes and read some of the other reviews here, I especially had to have it. I love the idea of the apricot/peach and lilac combo in Tresór, but find it a little bit artificial and the florals underwhelming. This is similar to Trésor to my nose, but much more satisfying. It's got that same sort of sophisticated dry fruit floral smell to it, but this one smells less artificial to me and the florals are more distinct. The spice and grass in the base notes makes it way more interesting in my opinion too. It's not too spicy or green, but enough to give it character. Honestly I would pick this one over Trésor, especially as it is less expensive. Sillage is huge, one or 2 sprays is all you need, and longevity is amazing, 12+ hours without a refresh and I can still smell it. Feels very classy and rich, like it could be good as an evening or daytime scent. I could also see it being good for any time of year, though best in spring and summer. I really love this one, and will keep it around as long as I can.

Right now I have two large glass spray bottles of Marilyn Miglin's Goddess EDP on my perfume shelf. It is a velvety, long lasting, dry fruity fragrance that reminds me of the inside of a vintage jewelry box. You can buy Marilyn Miglin fragrances and layering products (lotions, body butters, etc.) at great prices on the shopping channel site where she is featured. I think this has damaged the Miglin brand, leaving people to think of her line as a lower quality budget product. This is completely untrue. I will talk about other Miglin fragrances in their respective reviews, but I will say that she consistently creates balanced, pleasing, unique perfumes and EDP's that users stay loyal to. The ingredients in Goddess are listed as follows: SD Alcohol 39c, Goddess Perfume Oils. I wonder if this is why I tolerate it so well. While even some of my favorites leave me a little headachy or sneezy, Goddess never does. Goddess is feminine, light, mildly sweet--a shimmering mist of exotic fruits (peach, plum, and apricot) hovering over a bed of earthy spices (clove and nutmeg), and dewy roses. The base is a very subtle combination of amber, vanilla, and sandalwood. Like many others in the Miglin line, Goddess is a surprisingly elegant and high quality fragrance. I highly recommend.

This is simply divine! A little sweet but not too much. Breathy, airy, light, lovely! ... I just have to add that I have been wearing this a lot more lately and it works so very beautifully with my skin. It lasts all day and dries down to a delicate delicious scent that I love!!! I think this is my new favorite. Edit...additional thoughts... So, I got a large bottle on EBay and learned a little lesson...fragrances CAN go bad. It seems, if I were to have bought that one first to try I would have thought yuk! sour!gross! But I have a small bottle so I know what it is supposed to smell like. Ebay is Not always the best place to blind buy as you may be getting something that is totally not at all what the perfumer had hoped you would smell. Buy from the AUTHORIZED dealer for blind buys but maybe a second bottle on ebay so you will KNOW what you are getting. Spend a little more for the real deal!

This is delicious! It reminds me of so many scents but stands in a class all its own! Recently my favorite and most surprising realization is that the dry down actually smells like old-school Egyptian Goddess incense oil (IYKYK) on my skin, which took me right back to the 90s! I wore that oil every day for years! MM’s Goddess is fruitier and brighter, but the similarity is definitely there!

Beautiful fruity floral with spices. It opens with a lot of fruit I like: peach apricot pineapple and plum. Each fruit is noticeable but the peach is what takes over. The rose and nutmeg is very nice it reminded me of Maja but the other notes like violet leaves and the base notes of vanilla grass and sandalwood remind me of Venus Vicky Tiel. This is a great scent for spring and summer.

I had hoped for a sophisticated soft peach which is why I blind bought this but instead it is a sharp, sparkling peach. It reminds me a lot of Ex-cla-ma-tion. I hoped for something classier.
