Magic

This is my favorite Marilyn Miglin scent, though I haven't tried them all. I've worn Magic, on and off, since the late 1990s when Miglin introduced it on the hsn shopping channel. It quickly sells out as opposed to Miglin's other scents that are for sale on the hsn website. Magic is a deep, complex woody/flowery/slightly gourmand [molasses note] eau de parfum that speaks to autumn and winter. But Magic is not overwhelming. I highly recommend this 'younger exotic sister' of Pheromone.

Very classic. Clean floral. I like it. Anyway, I don't get much vanilla. Not sweet, not powdery. Just clean flowers.

This is a vintage chypre and there are notes not listed. Definitely oakmoss, maybe galbanum. This is a green woody fragrance that is a bit soapy rather than powdery. The floral notes mingle to blend smoothly, and there are no fruit notes detected. I am wearing the 1 oz bottle with the black cap. If I had to pick notes listed, I would say heliotrope and mimosa mostly. This lacks the fizz of an aldehyde but leans more toward a floral aldehyde than a floral chypre. After the bitter top, it smoothes out into that lovely soapy floral.

Confession: I love watching the Home Shopping Network. That's how I discovered Marilyn Miglin years ago. Upon many viewings of Marilyn and research on the HSN website, I decided to order Magic. I'm glad I did. Magic reminds me of 1980s power florals... in a good way. It's a sparkly, strong, seductive floral without the oft-accompanying spices, amber, patchouli, or animalic notes. Magic is not simple or light, however, so spray with caution.

The moment I applied this I was overwhelmed by carnation. It's not mentioned in any of the notes or in any reviews but that was my unmistakable impression. It could be clove, but I guess the carnation is covered in the description by "yellow floral". The other floral noted begin to emerge after a few hours of wear. it reminds me of Ariane bt Avon.

Another winning blind buy. I truly like this powdery and gentle floral. The tuberose being very dominant along with iris and fig.I do wish the scent was stronger but still very nice to play around with.

MAGIC Eau De Parfum is not for the faint of heart... MAGIC is a perfume made for the woman [or man] that knows what perfume is all about. It’s not a sweet sugary candy coated celebrity fragrance that you see so many of on the market today. It is a rich, mature, sophisticated and made for the woman or men that know what they want & know what they like!! It’s marketed for woman but this can easily be a unisex fragrance. I believe that fragrances don’t have gender and if you enjoy wearing it and if it goes good with your body chemistry then by all means you should wear it!! I love that Marilyn Miglins perfumes all contain the highest amount of Parfum concentrate, therefore giving you the best bang for your buck. So many companies these days skimp on the essential oil ingredients and Miglin products do not do that. Magic is spicy, it’s heady, it’s rich & mysterious. And you will definitely have people asking you what you’re wearing. Try it! and I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Oh how I love Marilyn Miglin and her fragrances! I have been watching her for over two decades on the Home Shopping Network and have dozens and dozens of her perfumes. Magic is one of my favorites of hers, as it is a sophisticated floral with a vintage vibe, yet still manages to feel bright and blossoming at the same time. I do believe that some of the above notes may be incorrect, as I stumbled across a recent holiday set of hers that stated: Fragrance Notes Top: Passion fruit, bitter orange, green accord and black currant Mid: Karo-karounde, violet, jasmine, narcisse and ylang-ylang Base: Sandalwood, oakmoss, Florentine iris, wild fig and molasses

Purchased Destiny, 112, Pheromone, and Magic. This is a matronly scent and it is not my cup of tea smells almondy/nutty/a little wang of urine. The dry down is soapy/spicy with hints of ginger/nutmeg not my favorite so I will only wear this in the house because she is a bit much for me she does not stink I'm just not comfortable wearing this out in public.

Love it...It is sexy and I just keep smelling my own arm. I like to wear this to bed when it is cold outside. ;)
