C' Est Rien Que du Bonheur

C'Est Rien Que du Bonheur - a gorgeous name and a magnificent perfume!!! It's G O R G E O U S !!!! I had one bottle. I'm devastated that I can't have any more!!! It's my favourite perfume!!!! Such a wonderful floral!! So fresh and pretty!!!! And the bottle is just so cute and lovely, and such a fabulous colour!! Beautiful sweet flowers!!! Oh so beautiful.......I'm heartbroken!!!!

Really love this perfume. I still have my bottle, about 2/3 full, and I only wear it sparingly. It gives me such a warm, cheery feeling when I wear it.

The violet and lily are light and airy, the jasmine is much more weighty. The red berries are not noticeable. All of the top notes dissapear in just a few minutes. The jasmine does stay and mingle with the peony, magnolia,and freesia. These notes together make a strong and full scent. The sandalwood and musk basenotes become honeyed and soft with the accents of the flowers; the cedar is very light; the vetiver is not pronounced. The fixation is a few hours, the sillage is medium strength. The perfume is lovely, feminine, and idyllic...and childlike. It is so extremely sweet, it seems to have candy in it-cotton candy, salt water taffy, and bubble gum and lolly pops. It radiates sugar, sweetened sunshine, and fanciful day dreams. I tested this perfume with high hopes because I previously tested another Marina Marinof, wich I am devoutly in love with. Sadly, I am disappointed with this perfume, becausue the other is of such high quality with an interesting combination of notes. For sure, C` Est Rien Que du Bonheur is not a bad perfume, but, not what I had expected. This is the first of the series. Perhaps Marina Marinof improved her formulas over the years? The one I really enjoy was made in 2005, and this one, 2001. I have heard that the perfumes are now discontinued. The two I tested do have the same characteristics of prescence on the skin, medium strength lasting sillage, decent fixation, and a depth and volume to the scent. However C` Est Rien Que du Bonheur is weaker in these categories. I read that the perfumes were inspired by the creatorś Russian Grandmother who taught her to live happily and in a carefree manner. In that sense, I can say that this perfume matches the theme, being so whimsical, sugary, and youthful.

This is my favorite perfume of all time. And yes, as of 2015, it is more or less impossible to find. The review of the scent below this one is accurate despite the reviewer's not really caring for the fragrance overall. I am hoarding my two bottles of it jealously, and have been on a super boring legendary quest to find something worthy of replacing it. If you're anything like me, you find yourself on this page from time to time, hoping there's some new bit of info. I'm really only here to let everyone know that Tocca Violette is as close to a duplicate for C'est Rien Que du Bonheur as you're going to get, so you should hit Sephora tout de suite, comprenez-vous? It has a slightly greener tendency that edges it a little closer to Marina Marinof's Un Matin d'Ete (just a very little, and only for the first half hour-ish you have it on), but I love that one and am hoarding a bottle of it, too. Also, if you're in the market to change things up a little, Tom Ford Violet Blonde has the violet and woody notes that are easily my favorite in this scent, and it makes for a great wintertime/nighttime option.
