Smoked Jasmine Black Tea

The entire Garden line by Marissa Zappas is exactly to my taste. This is my favorite. When I think of an every day, easy perfume that I would want others to associate me with, I think of this beauty. It's a slightly, ever so slightly smoked jasmine black tea with a hint of something clean and fresh underneath it all. Every aspect of those notes is soft and rounded and comforting. I have an issue sometimes with black tea since it can come across far too smoked and abbrasive, this is not that whatsoever. The jasmine is pretty and airy and not indolic. The sage balances it out. I suspect the citruses are working overtime to add freshness without actually being apparent to my nose. Ahh what a delight. The easiest prettiest perfume to wear when I don't know what to wear.

This is the perfume I reach for without fail. I know I'll love it and it will always match my mood, no matter what time of day, where I am, or what season I find myself in. It's an absolutely lovely and balanced jasmine fragrance. Jasmine is obviously the star here, but tempered with herbal clary sage and astringent black tea, it never becomes headache-y or overwhelming. When I wear it, I feel calm, collected, and elegant, like someone who always has exactly the right words to say. Love this scent and am glad I bought the full bottle.

this opens with a smoky, somewhat indolic jasmine with the tea in the back lightening things up a bit. i get orange, orris and a bit of cedar too. it smells very modern to me, while also strongly reminds me of something i've experienced before. it gets a bit soapy after awhile while still remaining indolic as well. it's sheer and light for a smoky scent.

Fabric softener with soft jasmine. When everything is dry I can pick up on some tea. I like this!
