Charles Street

Just because fragrances have the same notes doesn't mean they smell similar or the same. This doesn't smell anything like Tuscan Leather. This is an upscale leather fragrance. While smelling nothing alike, if you must compare, Tuscan Leather is a new money brute while Charles Street is a classy modern old money gentleman. Off the top, you will smell a coffee note with a nutmeg backbone and a well-blended supporting cast of top notes that give the opening a spicy chai(tea) coffee feel with soft distant leather. As the scent develops a soft sweet spicy leather becomes the prominent smell; with the sweetness and spice coming from the raspberry and saffron, with the support of a well blended quiet, delicate, and soft floral notes As the scent dries down it becomes an excellent blend of leather and semi-sweet ambery vanilla that adds weight to the blend, with well-blended supporting notes of oakmoss and patchouli. Giving the dry down a soft earthy masculine touch. I said soft a lot in this fragrance but that is what Charles Street is. Subtle well blended and balanced

In the competition between the Tuscan Leather alternatives (Montale Aoud Leather, Golden Boy, Royal Leather, Charles Street and so on), Charles Street will likely be the one I get a full bottle of. Don't get me wrong I love Tuscan Leather, but it's basically only good for cooler weather. Charles Street works for cooler weather AND any other time you might want to wear it. Which will probably be a lot, because it's great. Not the most powerful scent --and certainly not as powerful as the Tom Ford or Montale-- I prefer it this way. It comes across as more wearable, more sensual, and given the sexy leather vibe of this scent that suits it just fine. Highly recommended.

stunning leather scent, this is not your conventional harsh leather perfume it's calm and subdued excellent for someone how doesn't like flaunty elegance, it lasts on me for at least 8 hours, and it projects effortlessly great for every occasion, frankly l own both Tuscan leather and charles street, and l find myself using the late frequently. 8,5/10

This is a very nice EDP, I love it. It's warm, masculine, classy, versatile, with the right amount of sweetness. To my nose it's basically leather and moss with light floral notes on top. The only negative I can find is longevity; it lasts about 2-3 hours. I'd make an excellent signature fragrance.

I completely concur with Ovaltine - this is a WINNER! Very similar to TF Tuscan Leather but perhaps a tad sweeter and only slightly less smoky. A BEAUTIFUL fragrance that takes its name from one of the most charming streets in the world just off Berkeley Square in London.
