Devil In Disguise

یه کار فوق‌العاده برای بهار و تابستون که کیفیت عالی و ارائه کاملا متفاوتی داره. من دوسه سال پیش از شقایق خریدم 600تومن اما اخیرا دیدم این برند با ده برابر این قیمت می‌فروشند که خوب بالای سه تومن(باوجود دلار سی تومن) نمی صرفه. تو اسپری اول یه عالمه ریواس و زنجفیل طبیعی طبیعی داریم که در ادامه. است‌ جز جاهایی که اندکی حس سیتروسی نرولی بهش اضافه میشه و اندکی حس خاکی گیاهی و تلخ از وتیور و پچولی، کلا فضاش عوض نمیشه. من تعجب می‌کنم اینهمه نمره به وتیور دادن چون اصلا چنین نقشی نداره. یه جاهایی کار شبیه لاین له هوم تویلت گرلن میشه یعنی گرلن بوآ و لهوم تویلت اگر اون حس آلبالویی ازش بگیری ریواس بدی و و زنجفیل بهش اضافه بشه. فضاش اونجوری. کیفیت هم مثل همون گرلن قدیمی ها نه این جدیدا پرفورمنس اش بد نیست پخش خوبی داره تا چندساعت و موندگاری هم نسبت به کار خنک خوب. تو پاییز و بهار هم میشه استفاده کرد اما قطعا تو سرما . جوابگو نیست بعد التحریر:وقتی یکی دو هفته پیش این کامنت نوشتم تو هوای شرجی گرم بالای 40درجه شبانه پوشیده بودم و خوب تا دوسه ساعتی که بیرون بودم بوش با کیفیت و پرفورمنس عالی از هرجهت خودنمایی می کرد. از عطر من کمتر ده میل مونده و منم بیشتر اونو تو تهران استفاده کرده بودم که هوای گرمش حداقل وقتی من بیرونم نهایتا سی درجه است و شبا کمتر حتی، اما اینجا که من پوشیدم گرما در روز از 50درجه رد میکنه و شرجی هم گاها فضا و گرم‌تر میکنه و من انتظار داشتم این کار اصلا جوابگو نباشه چرا که کارهای خنک تو گرمای شدید خفه میشن. اما باورکردنی نیست وقتی دیدم پخش و موندگاری دویل این دیسکو یا شیطان در در دیسکو فوق‌العاده متفاوت و چندبرابر قدرتمندتر بود طوریکه تا بیست و چهارساعت بعد من بوشو در سراسر خونه و روی لباس ها و بدن خودم حس می‌کرد اونم با قدرت تمام. یه نکته جالب‌تر اینکه فهمیدم بسته به فضا نت های کار برجستگی متفاوتی دارند مثلا توی خونه زیر کولر گازی که دمای خونه شونزده درجه نشون میده گویی پاییز یا زمستون و عطر کلا وتیوری شد و پچولی درحالیکه در گرمای بیرون ذره ای بوی وتیور حس نمیکردم. کیفیت کار در حد برندهای نیش مثل پغفوم د امپایر و لورنزو ویلورسی و زرجف و. گرلن و.. اما یک حس خاص و منحصربفرد هم داره که کلا تو کارهای عطار این برند، حتی کارهایی که برای برندهای دیگه انجام داده می‌بینیم و درواقع مارک بوستون عطاری نیست که از کسی کپی کنه یا بخواد عطرش شبیه فلان و بهمان عطر معروف یا مهجور باشه و این قابل احترام. منتهی بدون تست توصیه نمیشه

This is one of those scents you must try alone to appreciate its strength and soul. I didn't do that and the result of my first testing was rather negative, it seemed gone in a few minutes and the smell non-descript. Then a few days later I sprayed again and actually oversprayed, convinced as I was that this is weak and shortlived. The story changed completely. Having had the CDG Rhubarb, the first idea that came to my mind was this is very peppery (think Ormonde man style of tons of pepper) and minutes later I realised it was the vetiver and ginger mix that had such piquancy (that actually lasts till the end and it's the soul of the scent, spicy freshness). The rhubarb is subtler than in the CDG and Aedes and not ripe, this is greener. What I LOVE about this scent is that you don't experience a transition into a vanilla gourmand but instead it goes woodier. I am liking it a lot and definitely see it as a spring/summer alternative for a proper rotation. Longevity is perfect, strength is accurate (for such spicy scent it could be tiresome to be stronger, so know this is rather light) and sillage a bit low.

Imagine the opening of the new Aedes De Venustas EDP, green, fizzy, kinda "sweet and sour" and you'll get an idea on how Devil In Disguise strikes "upon application" (D&S docet). The fragrance darkens quite a bit during the middle pahse and the drydown. A patchouli note (not the earthy quality) joins the party and together with a woody-musky accord give birth to a terrific dridown which is not very far from Mohur by Neela Vermeire and a sort of Jubilation XXV minus the incense. There's the typical synthetic quality of many of the Buxton's compositions. It's quite pleasant and give the fragrance an extremely modern vibe. Beside that, Devil In Disguise smells much more like a Duchaufour's ctration than a Mark Buxton's but I guess these guys influenced each other quite a bit during their collaboration with Comme Des Garcons. Good stuff! Rating: 7.5-8/10

Beautiful rhubarb centric fragrance, with strong support of florals and a hint of soft vetiver in the base. Performance is modest. As others have said before me, this is similar to the original Aedes de Venustas (but probably a small step lower in terms of quality compared to AdV, and that is reflected in the price), and issued the same year (no surprise, since Buxton and Duchafour are blending buddies), with a rhubarb slightly greener. This one leans (a bit) feminine, while AdV is totally unisex. A great choice, but should you prefer a better performing more masculine version, you might want to opt for MB Emotional Drop (aka Emotional Rescue), which is vetiver-centric with rhubarb support. Highly recommended for warmer days, 20+

This is another extremely moorish fragrance, like byredo pulp its fruity in a pulpy kind of way but this one is a lot lighter with the ginger and florals. Makes me want to smell my arm all day but unlike pulp it goes quickly - after a good twenty minutes I barely smell it and have to reapply. The rhubarb note set against the vetiver makes for a pleasant struggle. At the very top, your nose wants to defer to the rhubarb and go light and pleasant - but the vetiver isn't having that. Rhubarb is like the little brother - getting ready to snitch on the older brother, vetiver, for stealing a pack of cigarettes from the gas station. I have no idea what I'm talking about. It's a nice smell - I really enjoy it. Multiple arm sniffs have occurred. 7/10

Fresh rhubarb mixed with soft flowers and a bit of clean earth. Starts sharp and green, then turns smooth and cozy. Light, pretty, and a little mysterious. Perfect for warm days when you want to smell different but not too loud.

Mine doesn't last, I can barely feel it after 30 minutes... I have to rub my hand on my neck in order to smell it. Too bad, the smell is nice, it kinda reminds me of Atelier Cologne - Gold leather (it has that boozy smell).

IT'S NOT A DUPE FOR Signature, so don't buy it if that's what you're after. Very sharp opening, maybe even somewhat similar to Hermes H24. Yes, I smell rhubarb, vetiver, mossy notes, nothing sweet. It lasts on my skin for a few hours, but without developing any further. No calmness, no coziness, no flowers (seriously, where's the magnolia?). Hour by hour, it simply fades away. It doesn't evolve, it just smells less and less until it's gone.
