Sleeping with Ghosts

No ghosts at all, rather white angels. I can imagine hundreds of reviews coming soon from disappointing people expecting dark, mysterious and incense based fragrance. But SwG is sweet, yummy and very delicious fragrance that is more like warm vanilla pudding. I bought it today because whether is horrible, depressing and very very sad. SwG make me happy and smiling so I like it expecting to use during terrible, cold and wet fall time. The fragrance - beginning is full of peony - its warm and sensual sweet nectar. Tagetes and quince give it a little exotic and dry nuances. But immediately (after 5 minutes) perfume changes its dimension to warm and very very natural milk smell. It is like back to the school time where we had during lunch time the opportunity to drink a glass of warm milk. I loved it and now it comes back in my memory. So yummy and full of happiness. This is created by the mix of peony and vanilla that develops slowly and finally plays a main role. But this is not cheep smelling artificial vanilla but very sensual and natural that is even little hot in its projection. The leather is not obvious but it exists in the back underlying the sensuality and warmness of the perfume. Finally - I love it.

I never thought I'd be a fan of a fragrance featuring peony, but wow am I ever. Its an extremely soft fragrance, and I like that aspect for once. I'm a man, and I really like florals, but prefer them to be soft, neutral, or in the background. Otherwise I admit to feeling slightly self conscious. Sleeping with Ghosts has peony and vanilla front and center, and blends the vetiver/leather way in the background. This gives it a neutral balance that really works for me, the softness seems to allow it to mix extremely well with my natural scent, leaning masculine enough for me to really enjoy wearing this. Also making it somewhat unique for me. The longevity is somehow very good on me. The sillage is extremely soft, soft to the point where the retail price might be considered absurd, for the majority will want more projection for this kind of money. I've seen this go for well below the MSRP and am not surprised. If this sold for under $100 this would be a staple in my collection, without a doubt. 7/10

I'm familiar with 4 of the "reminds me of" perfumes, and I disagree with all of those. Sleeping With Ghosts does not remind me of any other scents that I've sampled or that are in my stash. For me this is a very unique fragrance. I love the quince and vetiver together. It makes the fruit more sophisticated (and unisex). There's a maturity to SWG, and the notes are not just random additions to make it unique. It wears very savvy, it strikes me that MB wanted SWG to be exactly as it is. The leather is almost like the anchor to hold it all in sync. It's a very memorable perfume, so I can understand why MB gave it such a unique name. I hope it wasn't reformulated after the name was altered. I think my bottle is ~ 10 years old. When I'm in the mood for SWG, nothing else will do.

Extremely underrated, hard to find such a fruity, zingy and fresh fragrance with this performance. Be aware though it's not for the faint hearted, absolutely monstrous projection and longevity. It won't just choke you but people around you as well. Go easy on the trigger and never blast it in closed spaces like inside a car or your walk in robe, unless you are the only person using it. Have it on me as I am typing, had 4 - 6 sprays in the morning and it's 6:37 in the evening, the projection is still blasting. Would definitely get you compliments from people at a distance, a spray or 2 on ur clothes and you're all set for 24 hours lol.

Yes, this is gorgeous. A less sweet, more finely nuanced rendition of my all time favorite fruity floral Joop All About Eve - minus the cinnamon - plus a very subtle leather accord. The apple-y - floral - vetiver - vanillic -accord works like a magic in this, too. Dreamy, lovely and playful! Quite feminine on me - but my skin tends to swallow the leather notes.
