mark Instant Vacation

I really loved this one! I had this perfume when I was a teenager and used this to go to school, many compliments for this one. I miss so much this fragrance, sadly discontinued. I don't know why my favorites fragrances from Avon just disappear... I remind it, so summery, sweet and a little bit floral. A really ''happy'' scent just to go out and live the life! I was many years waiting for something that have a similar scent, I tried with Beachscape by Jennifer Aniston and the scent was absolutely opposite from Instant Vacation. Meh... Sincerely I did not like the aroma. One day I was reading the Avon magazine and I find ''Far Away Amalfi'' and I bought it just due the name because I'm a really in love with Amalfi, Italy. And..... SURPRISE! A great surprise for me, I sprayed it on my skin and immediately remind me Mark Instant Vacation! I felt so happy because that smells just remind me many moments of my adolescence. :D It's not exactly the same aroma, but smells very similar and little bit ''stronger'' and of course also is a Limited Edition, sad... If one day Avon sells again Instant Vacation, I will be the first person to buy that! Haha

If you like Estee Lauder's Soleil, give this a try. It may be a bit more coco-nutty, but it is so similar! I love it as a pick me up in the summer. My bottle is older now, but I still will squirt a tad on after a shower on return from a long day at the beach. Put it in your hair and you will smell like a Tahitian Goddess! :) Cheers!

This is the one summer scent that I adore. I have several bottles stocked away. Perfect for summers at the beach or when you wish you were at the beach. Really smells like and "instant vacation". I found that it has great lasting power - actually all day long. Avon needs to bring this back every summer.

I absolutely love, love, love this scent! I wish they still sold it! I have found a couple of scents from Bath & Body Works that is just like it and they are Hibiscus Paradise and Summertime Surf! If you love Instant Vacation by mark then you will love those scents!

I used to purchase this through Avon and I loved it. Hadn't thought of it in years until I tried a perfume called Yaqeen by Asdaaf. Not a dupe (said to be a dupe of Memo Marfa) but it shares a similar vibe with jasmine and ylang ylang and citrus.

love it but doesn't last long enough... but as the bottle is plastic i always take it with me in my beachbag :)i m wondering, hmmm, where's the coconut in the fragrance notes listed?? i can smell it!

This is the perfect instant summer vacation scent. Both my daughter and I love it. Smells like maybe a suntan lotion but a zillion times better.

This is the best summer, beachy fragrance that I have tried. And it was discontinued. Why do they do this? I am glad to have several on hand.

In the middle of our colder winter weather here in southern CA I will hit a spell where I can't decide which rich spicy oriental fragrance to wear. Tabu, Cinnabar, Obsession, Poison, Red...yes to all but then suddenly, a summer-time craving hits and out comes the Instant Vacation. This is one of those scents that I would have bought 10 bottles of "if I had only known..." but alas, you live, you learn. Instant Vacation is a coconut au naturale fragrance and almost smells like straw or something at first spray. Then it settles down to the most glorious coconutty delicious aroma. It enjoyed/enjoys a bit of a small cult following and was really under-rated. I wonderful friend gifted me her bottle after I ran out. I have yet to smell some of the "smells like" but now that Instant Vacation is selling for ridiculous prices on auction sites I should try some of the similar ones. In the meantime, while rationing my Instant Vacation EDT I discovered that wearing Gayle Hayman Cool Caribbean Coconut body spray over natural coconut lotion gives me that "lounging at Dawn Beach in St. Maarten" feeling! Grab your beach towels and let's hit the sand! Forgot to mention that these bottles as pictured above have screw top sprayers! I poured (or rather sprayed) some of my GHCCC into the empty MIV bottle to help me through that drought season after running out! Perfume people!LOL!

Definitely has a strong likeness to Bronze Goddess the one with the bulls eye label on front. Thank you so much to my lovely swap partner I have a bottle.I am in love with this one. I just went on a trip to the ocean and sprayed this on myself and all over my room the entire time. It was so beach appropriate. My take on it is that it's a very comfortable and different scent. It's very similar to Bronze Goddess the one with the bulls eye on the bottle. It's got that milky beachy coconut scent. I absolutely and completely am head over heels with this scent. Only downside is that she is a fader... if only she had lasting power. That's ok though i'll bathe in this bottle the rest of the summer.

This is a fun and cheap beach in a bottle from Avon :) I bought this when it first came out and have used it a handful of times on those really hot days and I guess I've sort of been saving it. The seasonal beachy ones they've been coming out with the past few years just really don't compare to this one. The new ones are a bit watered down for my taste, but this is pretty potent. This is the scent of suntan oil and coconut mixed with the hot sun. Yeah it does have that detectable alcohol scent, initially, but for the $12 I think I paid for this I'm not really going to complain.

Coconutty and fresh. This is pretty much just coconut, with a bit of jasmine peaking through. It's sweet in a toned down way, not sugary. I find this scent a bit boring, but still better than suntan lotion.

Definitely a beachy perfume, but it almost reminded me of a cheap perfume from when I was a kid (not a bad thing). Very fresh and tropical.

Given to me as a gift. It Just smells like Coconut's I am not a big Coconut fan so this one was a no for me!! But for anyone who likes Coconut smells try this!

my very favorite avon purfume. so far I have the old one straight from 2007. Just sprayed it on it was like i took a cold mouth filled gulp of exactly what the tropical cool cloudy glass bottle looks like. frosty cool colada of melon honeysuckle faint gardenia white musk tropical papaya or whatever enveloping fluffy cool hydrating all day smell is happens with this one. It reminds me like im a 50s housewife & when all of the cool hula Hawaii skirt era was trendy back then. There is just something in this that makes me think freon is in it to keep it smelling so cold. Not cold like silver but cold like the does of a huge ice cube that has already melted to thst glossy water state ..when this is sprayed. (Its not a coconut smell, Coconut is a bit more noticeable in the saint barts soleil, & the Ibiza sol. those are more sandy & desert smelling amberish or w/ sandalwood. Both are so good though I sprayed all 3 on me.) I think I need to try all the mark vacation lines. Just not for the discontinued price of $75+ I found the st. Barts one for $4- at the thrift store. So I was so excited, I just knew it was discontinued. Cause of course thats what happens to all of my favorite smells.

One word......NOSEGASM!! :p Love it! One of my faves!!! Love that is reminds me of a light, breezy, summery day with the wind blowing in my hair and I am wearing a long, light, gauzy skirt and riding the boat along the waves in the crystal blue waters, then jumping out of the boat onto the hot, pale sand and feeling it tickling it's way between my toes!! Then watching the palm trees sway in the wind and setting up my hammock to take an afternoon siesta in the shade! :D Then waking up and sipping on a cocktail in a coconut shell with a straw and watching the sun set on the horizon!! Ahhhhhhhhhhh

This fragrance is not highly known in EU - and for that I'm quite thankful: my own and alone BEACH perfume. I can't wear it unless it's min.of 30°C, but then it's delightful. The (very heady) jasmine with multifruit-juice+coconut is quite nice for casual summer day. I tried it 2 weeks ago and suffered almost hyperventilation to get just some O2 inside instead of perfume - so I suppose a lot of beachy air and heat do the trick ;) THANKS FOR ADDING FRAGRANTICA!!!!

Instant vacation - what a fantastic name for this fragrance. I have had the same bottle for years now and I have used it only when I am actually on holiday at a tropical location. I remember reaching for this bottle a few weeks back and oh how it brought me back to those beautiful places. The scent is pretty linear: fruitiest coconut-vanilla scent but the connection to my travels is what I love about this little number. Ok longevity with moderate sillage.

I used to own this back when I sold Avon.I gave it away. Has a very plastic/fake smell...J. Lo glow is a much better casual summer fragrance for younger women! For those of you who like this scent...Avon just released another Mark brand instant vacation scent....Ibiza Sol...a tropical scent with notes of honeysuckle, pear, white geranium and musk! Now that I plan to buy and wear this summer!

I was wearing Bath and Body Works Hibiscus Paradise the other day and it hit me that it smells very reminiscent of the original Instant Vacation! It took me back just like that! Hibiscus Paradise doesn’t have the vanilla but it’s still so close in my opinion! Totally worth a try if you no longer have a bottle of this perfume!

I like this perfume...it reminds me of Avon's Tahitian Holiday, except I do prefer Tahitian Holiday over Instant Vacation. Both are nice and remind me of suntan lotion on my skin in the sun...not exactly a classy fragrance but very wearable in summer and very nostalgic for me!

All of the notes are prominent...jasmine, coconut, and vanilla. Delicious! It does remind of Bronze Goddess, but with a little less knockout (that's a good thing).

mark Instant Vacation is one of my favorites that went away. Does anyone know of a similar that is currently out there?
