Self-Sanctuary Chocolate Orchid

The sweet bitterness of semi-sweet dark chocolate is very heavy at first spray but then mellow as the orchid picks up.. Very gourmand but more baking then eating.. I feel as if I should be in the kitchen cooking. Very unusual but very nice. Few inches above the skin and lasts about 3 hrs on me.

The chocolate note in this smells very synthetic. If you've ever bought one of Avon's chocolate scented lip balms during Christmas, then you know exactly what this perfume smells like. I am giving my bottle away because every time I pick it up, I think to myself that maybe I was wrong about it, but I am disappointed every time. I feel like if there were mint somewhere in the mix, it might be usable, but there's not, so it isn't, and it makes me a little sad.

Cocoa Powder nails it! Pitty - it's not for me.

Very well done fragrance. The chocolate is not a sickly sweet gourmand scent. It’s not bitter. It is smooth and medium bodied. The orchid note is perfectly matched to this particular chocolate note so it does not clash nor stand alone. Very, very well done. I love wearing this when it is cold outside. I wish Avon would bring mark. back because their products were very good.

I would describe this as a cocoa-powder scent. More like the can of cocoa powder than the smell of a chocolate bar. Lasts about 3 hours on my skin and I hardly smell the floral. I keep it for when I get a chocolate fix. Inexpensive, I'd buy it again when I'm through with my bottle.
