I have no idea where I got this little number from (obviously it's from M&S, but I didn't pick it up myself; I think it was actually in an office Secret Santa present a while ago. I came across the bottle in one of my numerous drawers of scents & stuff, had no idea what it was like and cracked it open. And it's been tormenting me ever since. Not in an "unpleasantly-cloying-won't-go-away-can't-even-wash-it-off-with-Hibiscrub" sort of way; no, it's in the way it constantly seems to tantalise me with a memory of a smell that it might remind me of, from way back, only to leave me standing in the middle of the room, desperately sniffing my wrist, no longer sure if I can even tell what notes are in it any more. I can get the orange and rose and plum and the musk, but whilst every note goes from "battling-it-out-among-a-cacophony-of-other-olfactory-attention-grabbers" to "merging-harmoniously-together-in-a-wave-of-heady-redolence", sooner or later something in my brain just seems unable to make head nor tail of any of it. I know I like it. I've been wearing it quite a lot recently. When I smell the atomiser, prior to spritzing it, I get that weird mental whooshing sensation of travelling through time, back to another decade, and then hurtling back into the present - in the way that only a fragrance can do. Sometimes it smells kinda current. Other times it smells like a classic. Then sometimes it manages to smell like some cheap, drugstore, liquor that I bought for £1.99, back in the 80's and thought made me smell like the quintessential sophisticated modern woman (despite only being about 8 or 9 at the time). It makes me think of the smokey bars I frequented when I was 16, caked in make-up and hanging out with men who were twice my age. It smells like fond memories of a almost forgotten time. Hairspray, perfume, powder and paint. Old school jukeboxes that actually had to play the album or CD inside it and not just stream it over the internet. Thinking that Max Factor was the height of class when it came to pan stick & setting powder. Feeling both mature and of an age that would never grow old, become boring or settle down. But then that orange note comes along and kicks me up the arse again and I'm back in 2018, stood in my nightie, in the middle of the living room, sniffing my wrist furiously, trying to find my way back onto that train of nostalgia which has already faded from my mind. It's...just...weird. It's potent, for sure. I can't understand the person who said it was light and flowery...I mean sure we all smell things in our own way, but this is about as subtle as a slap round the face with a smoked mackerel. There's so much going on in there and it lasts - on me anyway - for hours. I put a coat on today and the spritzes I'd dashed all over it on Saturday were still heady as hell. It's not a refined scent, but then nor is it a shoddily slapped together concoction that makes you afraid to apply liberally. I think if you like the Dior Poison range, Poeme, Eden or Mugler's Alien, you might like this as a cheaper everyday scent that still packs a punch, without costing a fortune. Probably not for everyone, but well worth a punt, even if all you ever do is take it out of a drawer every so often to spritz a bit on the back of your wrist and find yourself transported back briefly, to memories of a time that are hazy yet enjoyable to sense once more. Definitely interesting.

This smells like the much mourned and discontinued Quelques Fleurs. Staying power around 3 hours. A pretty good buy and well priced.

I sprayed this on my wrist and all afternoon I kept thinking I could smell Amor Amor :)

This is a really lovely scent with great lasting power. Excellently priced too. I find myself reaching for it automatically on days when i dont want to use my more expensive perfumes. It has a spicy opening, mellowing down to fruity and finally musky. Gorgeous!

I cannot work out which fragrance but it reminds me of something.....amber smelling. Perhaps it is So? or amber romance type....when i remember will update!
