Vintage Love

Vintage Love is really lovely! I think it's beautiful. It is so well represented by the bottle I think, which is totally divine. Very very gorgeous orange blossom and osmanthus - I adore both those flowers - and the precious woods and musk are really settling and give it a strength and gentle sensuousness. It's very alluring and feminine, and does have a quietly vintage feel. It lasts pretty well - about 10 hours, and has a delightful sillage of a few feet, just enough to charm anyone who's near me: which it does, and brings me quite a few compliments, I must say. Gorgeous.

It is a scent which reminds me somehow of my grandmother in the winters in a thick indian quilt, knitting a sweater... I will be passing this to her. Very powdery and on me dries down to a detergent kind of a tone but still pleasant. There's a feel of incense in this one too. I dont get the orange blossom as much and i'm pretty sure of osmanthus being the reason for the clawing strange tone for the initial 2 to 3 hours, doesnt let you forget you're wearing this perfume. Vintage love evokes class and femininity. I agree there is nothing vintage here that my nose can detect but this fragrance somehow reminds me of those romantic film heroines of the bygone era like Gone with the Wind. This must the sort of scent they'd be wearing classy, elegant and disarmingly charming. Not attention seeking but sits confidently in the corner and will atill get noticed. It lasts about 5- 6 hours on my skin and longer on my clothes so it is a bargain for 16 pounds I'm willing to pay the same for the bottle alone♥

I love this perfume so much, it is one of my all time favourites. It may be "vintage" but in the best possible way of being beautiful and timeless rather than "old fashioned". It smells fresh and warm at the same time and could suit any age of woman who wants to smell beautiful. The orange blossom comes through along with the musk making it very sensual. It makes me think of southern France and sunshine. Most of all it makes me happy. Beautiful bottle also.

To 'verysherry' I am a 'grandmom' and I take the most profound exception at being told what genre of perfume I would be expected to wear. You say in your profile that you don't judge. Hmm well I beg to differ. There is no set smell for old people or young ones for that matter. Will you say that the next perfume you review is more suited to a black person, a white person, a Christian or a Jew??
