Simmer Down

Shout out to Perfume Villa in the nearby mall.. I went in there to sample some fragrances about a month ago.. The guy working the counter was showing me whats new and trendy.. I then asked him what he wears and he showed me "Lights Down Low" by Marley I didnt like it at first then it grew on me.. then watching reviews on youtube I stumbled on this one.. the next day went to see if they carried it and they did on the women's side of the store and I was hooked.. im starting to really like these modern fruity fresh fragrances.. Dont sleep on thos one if you can get your nose on it I recommend giving it a try.. Performance is moderate longevity is good! Great summer night out especially if you wanna stand out in the crowd.. I absolutely love this scent. It is so unique. My husband wears this, but I can sometimes pull it off too. It is bright and fruity in the opening, and dries down warmer. The best way I can describe it is like a vacation. He wore this on a cruise for a week, and this is exactly how I think of it now. A warm vacation.

Truly a gorgeous scent. It feels warm and inviting. I bought this and place of peace at a local boutique after testing them out and when I got home I realized this was a “masculine” scent. I’m female and I’ve gotten many compliments on it.

Very good fragrance! Perfect for summer days. Has great longevity and sillage. A relatively unknown fragrance so it’s unlikely that you’ll be smelling like anyone else! Definitely put your nose on it if you get the chance.

I really enjoy this scent. The opening is a unique sweetness from the star apple, then passes into a warm cinnamon pear, before going to a pleasant sandalwood/ resin dry down. Soft not in your face scent.

I'm working my way through the discovery set this week. The opening of Simmer Down was the most interesting part. My husband loved it (and he does NOT like masculine scents on me). I'm really surprised this is considered "masculine"; I would go so far as to say it bypasses the unisex territory and leans feminine. The middle reminds me of stuff I've smelled so many times before. On paper, the notes aren't the same but this evokes strong memories of Coco Mademoiselle for me. A nice scent with great longevity and decent sillage. I wish this line had at least one scent that represented its namesake--something with rum and cannabis perhaps? This is my message to you ooh ooh.

I like it, but I don’t love it... it’s a sweet, slightly fruity, and slightly citrusy HEAVY on the powder scent. I’m not sure what not gives off an almost baby powder vibe but I’m trying to get past it. In theory I should like this lol, will let it sit and come back to it.

If someone made Erba Pure not as a shampoo but as a conditioner, this is what it would smell luke. That is the feeling I get. Very woodsy creamy with fruit on top but somehow airy.

Cinnamon leaf brings a low, spicy hum, while pear blossom lifts it with a light floral breath. Amyris glows underneath it all, woody and slightly creamy, like the soft flicker of candlelight in a quiet room. As it settles, the base becomes a cocoon—sandalwood and amberwood wrap around you in a soft, warm haze, while Gurjan balsam adds a touch of resinous depth that lingers on the skin like a whisper. Simmer Down doesn’t shout—it soothes. It’s the scent of golden dusk, of slowing time, of finding stillness in the middle of everything. A gentle reminder to breathe deeper and move softer.

I just came across this in a mall and I like it. It’s one of those sweet fragrances that a man can definitely pull off. A similar vibe to fragrances like kirke or erba pura but not a clone of anything I know of. Sometimes with unisex fragrances they can lean to one side or the other but I think this is evenly something for both a man and woman

To my nose this is mash up of CJ Absolute, GOS No Limit and the pear from Blue Talisman. It has a fun feel to it and works for casual events and if you spray heavy could be a night out banger.
