Heliodose

Creamy, lush, radiant white florals wrapped in a softly sweet, powdery veil; snowy white, velvety, deeply indolic, and utterly beautiful. While searching for a truly all-white floral that would completely sweep me away, I never expected to find it here; and certainly not through tiare. In fact, had someone told me this was jasmine-based, I would have believed it without hesitation. The absence of jasmine surprised me so much that I genuinely wondered if there was a mistake somewhere. To my nose, there are countless indolic white florals hiding beneath the surface; tuberose included. If anyone tells me otherwise, I honestly can’t bring myself to believe it. The impression it leaves on me is that of burying my face into a mass of immaculate, smooth, slightly dewy, and deeply sensual white flowers.... There’s a touch of green freshness, paired with a soft, semi-sweet, powdery musk; but all of these remain firmly in a supporting role. I loved it. Truly, deeply loved it. I ordered a sample so I could dip my toe into Marlou as lately I have been fiending for a fresh, sensual, full bodied jasmine/white flower scent and this is it. This very well may be The One. So pretty, so creamy, makes me want to go on a long walk on a spring day. It does change for me as I wear it just a little bit, but mostly turns a bit sticky sweet towards the end of wearing it which I am shockingly fine with even if that sweetness that comes with indolic scents is why I never "got" ones like Lust. I suppose I don't mind because it's less thick and pungent, think the difference between fresh maple syrup and blackstrap molassas. Friends weren't fans as much as I was initially, one even pointedly mentioned it smells like grandma perfume in a mens room, but they seem to enjoy it when I wear it day to day so it was likely the paper test that was the issue. Really excited to try more Marlou as this is allegedly their most tame.

My first foray with a Marlou scent and I look forward to trying more. Wearing Heliodose gave me the urge to find someone to go on a date with, to soak up golden rays on hot summer days, and to store them inside me; I've become a silky, white petaled teacup. I'm living on fresh pollen. Remarkably green and expansive, Heliodose creates the imagery of morning dew on tiare and sun-dried clothes, sun-kissed skin, and sun-loving chlorophyll. Although nowhere listed, I can pick up on a bubblegum tuberose hiding in the mix. These flowers are plush, comforting and coalescing, like down feathers, and ultimately compassionate. Again, there is something ethereally sweet here, sucrose of the supernatural type, fairy kisses maybe. The day my sample runs out I fear I'll wither up and fade into a mirage.

Another incredible perfume from Marlou. Heliodose is you, in and out of sleep, in the back of your friends minivan driving down the highway after a long day at the beach. Your kinda sunburnt, your thick layers of sunscreen leave a slightly oily feeling on your skin. Your sweat mixing with the salty ocean water. It's almost sunset and you can hear your favourite song playing on the radio. The hot air blasting through the windows is blowing your sticky hair in all directions. You haven't felt so carefree in a long time. You don't care to look perfect or polished. You just exist in your natural form. Heliodose has a special place in my heart. It's an incredible scent of summer. Not FOR summer, OF summer Full bottle worthy Marlou, you have done it again ❤️

I smell tiare and the instinct is tropical, humidity, heat.... This is a tiare that I won’t reserve for summer days as it’s less sunny and more sensual/animalic the longer it settles. It has a gorgeous funk that I associate with true gardenia... Marlou’s DNA is here, with its kinda lipsticky, spilled liqueur-on-fur vibe at the base. After 3-4 hours, I smell unburned incense in the musk and indole. I’m not surprised that the perfumer behind Corpalium created Heliodose, it shares a similarly intimate quality... I couldn’t commit to any Marlou scent before but now I have two. My favourite grey, cold, windy weather is here and I could happily live in Doliphor and Heliodose for the rest of the year.... A pure joy to find.

Crisp green stems and tropical fruits swaddled in milky white petals with lungs that push out indolic exhaust. Cheesy, that of the goat variety. Currently hovering over the purchase button at the time of writing. Héliodose is suggestive, which is a refreshing direction for Marlou. The house's debut collection in hindsight advertised like a neon "open" sign. The 2025 releases so far read more like a wax-sealed RSVP letter. I highly recommend ordering the discovery set directly from the brand!

I spritzed this fragrance last night, and it wove its magic into my sleep; the first thing on my mind when I woke up. It’s like a sultry twist on Muelhens 4711 Eau De Cologne. The scent transports me to summers at the beach, with sun-kissed skin, coming home to water a blooming garden. No bra. There is a gentle breeze. Admire how this perfume blends sophistication with the carefree. This is the first time on my perfume journey that I wanted to buy the bottle immediately.

Beautiful white florals. It’s like sunshine in a bottle. Warm, human-like, sunkissed skin. It is fluffy, light, airy, soft, musky, and creamy. This is what I imagine a lady in a white dress sunbathing in the summer sun smells like.

The below reviewer confidently and dismissively comparing this to Borabora and Lust for Sun has no idea what they’re talking about, beyond pattern recognition of white tropical florals. Heliodose is very different! In a good way :)

Adding this to a new fave series with the theme of California, specially southern California. This is walking home on a bright balmy LA evening and every other person's yard smells like this.

A sleepy green fae creature curled up beneath the white, silky smooth petals of a closed tiaré flower after a long day frolicking in the summer heat. Ethereal, carefree and safe.

This is probably the best white floral I've ever smelt, it is like smelling a bouquet of flowers on a summer day. Absolute masterpiece.

The tiare is insanely realistic and sensual

Ok this is me revisting this after a year. Back in 2025 I hastily tested this among like 50 samples I got from a trip abroad, in which I was mainly focused on dark or fresh scents. This sample was given to me by the sales woman at the frag store after I ran out of things to specifically ask for as desired samples. Now to the fragrance itself. Originally I said this gave me nausea, I don't recall why. But it doesn't now. I find it very pretty , pleasant, floral, and slightly powdery/musky/medicinal. I get about ZERO green aspects. This frag is 100% white to me. As it develops, the medicinal aspect is revealed as high-pitched delicate sunscreen. This is the only thing which gives it a truly "beach" vibe since it otherwise would simply be a bouquet of flowers. It is cool and soft, so together with the sunscreen scent it gives off a gentle summer vibe. It has a touch of sweetness , just enough to keep it away from being neutral It is unisex but clearly leans slightly feminine , lacking any grounding aspects like woods or aromatics. It kind of reminds me of white spirit from jhag although it's one of the only feminine scenes I know (that I like ) so maybe that's not the best comparison. Overall I really wouldn't mind having something like this in my collection but I probably have like a dozen other white floral I need to test first... Really glad I face this a second chance

This is a lovely fragrance, very stylish, yet, compositionally is really not all that complex. It's a narcotic nocturnal white flower number, laced with plenty of coconut (not listed in the official pyramid), and seated upon a musky base. Curiously, I'm not picking up on galbanum at all. A real "va-va-voom" bombshell fragrance, rather in the Midcentury mood. Think: retro parody vamps like Katy Perry or Dita von Teese. I love this, though it is probably too femme for most guys to wear. I read the musky base as consisting primarily of ambergris. Too sexy and knowing for a bridal perfume or for church or the PTA (IMHO) yet ideal for all kinds of date, nightclub and romance situations. More insolent and attitude-filled than Robert Piguet FRACAS, yet HELIODOSE might be considered a hip, edgy new incarnation of FRACAS. Certainly it reminds me a good bit of Eris' MA BÊTE (which I confess I might like better, as it is more olfactorily complex). HELIODOSE is a real cougar's perfume... not for sorority girls or cheerleaders. Were Mae West living today, she'd be thrilled to score a bottle of this. Of the Marlou lineup-- whose philosophy, business practice and style I appreciate very much-- AMBILUX is still my favorite, with all its piss-o-rama fabulousness.

This starts out with a good indolic punch, reminiscent of vintage perfumes. The galbanum is most noticeable in the opening. The tiare flower grows more candied and takes on a bubblegum vanillic tone in the peak and drydown. Throughout development, from opening to dry down there’s a dry wood smell that reads as warm to me. Like walking on a sunbaked wooden boardwalk. I also get a spice note, like cinnamon bark maybe? Surprised to say this reminds me a touch of L’artisan Nuit de Tubereuse. Overall, the indoles are too much for me, and bubblegum white floral isn’t really my jam.

Edit: a sleeper! This is beautiful, my first review (see below) is no longer the sentiment. I got the Marlou sample set a while back, immediately fell in love with Doliphor and bought a full size and now I’m considering a full size of this too. I tried it again and now I’m getting the same sort of green, herbal, tickly facet that I love in Regime des Fleurs Rock River Melody. Blessings abound, abbondanza, god is love and love is real. Summer ‘26 baby. ———————————————————— A little too indolic for me, not screechingly old-fashioned but not modern enough for me personally.

Heliodose is a quite simple, indolic leaning white floral. It's muskiness is slightly salty. Ocean washed skin that plays well with the juicy tiaré notes. The petals are wet and crushed, limp and wilting. Not yet in a full state of decay but overripe, sticky. It's not the most interesting thing in the world and I had hoped for something a little more provocative from this line but I have my own uses for musky, indolic florals. Not bad!

A gorgeous opening, lush and buttery. Carnally seductive and perfectly suited for hot summer nights when you want your allure to linger in everyone’s mind. On my first try, the drydown felt a little screechy, almost enough to make me give up on it despite how much I loved the opening. The second wear went better. I still wish the base were 'rounder', but it remains the sexiest white floral I’ve come across, and I want a bottle.

Gives off the vibes of a beautiful older woman sunbathing at a resort with fancy sunscreen and lotion on. The drydown is a lot more green on me, like an actual white flower with the stems attached - though you can still smell the oily sunscreen underneath. A very summery humid fragrance, easy to wear and feminine leaning, if i had to say. Dont know if thats what i personally want to smell like but im attracted to her.

This is a fantastic white floral, it's musky and dirty to me. I'm not getting the beachy vibes everyone else is talking about or sunscreen, I'm getting dusty powdery animalic musk. Although, I do agree it's pretty linear. Which I don't mind. A perfect scent for layering in my opinion.

So soft. Yes like warmed skin from the sun. It’s squinting in the sun at the peak of summer with day two hair. It’s a mid day nap from heat exhaustion. It’s sooooo human. It’s romantic, sexy. In the beginning it’s very indolic, but the dry down surprised me. It’s very natural

It’s a very photorealistic freshly peeled clementine scent. Funny thing is, there are no orange notes listed.

Heliodose promises musk and indoles, an animalic white floral, yet seems to only deliver on the white floral aspect, for me at least. The name is appropriate, as it’s incredibly bright and sunny, like vibrant white flowers on a summer’s day. I couldn’t guess which flowers were present, but to my nose it smelled like a combination of jasmine and tuberose, which I now realise was just Tiare. It felt as though there were shimmering aldehydes, alongside a slightly green, dewy facet which compliments the soapy whiteness nicely. The one thing I’m not getting is anything musky or indolic. It smells very clean to me, if I try really hard, perhaps there’s a spiciness, but that’s me forcing it. This smells like white flowers and nothing else. Pleasant, but boring.

This is the nicest indolic jasmine I’ve ever smelled. I’ve smelled some that were putrid and that’s being nice. I sprayed it on my hand ( one spray) . I’m now on a crowded NYC train and I’m sure anyone within 4 feet of me can smell this. My nose and eyes are burning. I’m sending a subliminal sorry to the guy sitting next to me. Yes this smells nice but this is a fragrance that wear you. I’m not afraid to wear daring things as I wear Rien in the summertime. This one is too much.

White-violet airy smell, full but not dense fragrance with a sharper prickly note of jasmine, orange and lilac. Musky dusty, may feel bit dated but is not completely outdated, many times smelled during childhood. I found no exciting, sensual or animalic undertones in it.

When a white floral is done correctly it should make you feel kind of an ecstasy. Heliodose makes that high feel so effortless, I'm already daydreaming of rich people garden parties, and queer, laissez faire lounges. Sometimes a scent will make me miss something I've never experienced. Heliodose is seductive but surprisingly quite elegant. It's reminding me, maybe from my past life, of being 6 years old and at a wedding. It reminds me of taking a daynap on a poofy, vintage chair, under the sun, while the sophisticated adults chortle, clink glasses, and chit chat around me. Fastforward, I'm being chased around the estate by other giggling children , then seeking a hiding place underneath the dress of a princess-looking bride. The poofy chairs, the day nap, the white garden, the giggling, and the bride have all been bottled up. It's a very perfume-y, on purpose, 'notice me', scent. No one would think you'd smell like this on your own, but everyone can and would appreciate such a refined choice. Separately, it makes me miss those historically inaccurate depictions of rococo-era parlor lounges or card saloons. Rooms full of opulence, powdered faces, and uproarious laughter. Only now, it's daytime and serene. All windows are open, the breeze is carrying a certain white floral aroma. Once again, I'm napping on a chaise with a cat on my chest. Girls are playing Go-Fish, and someone is crossdressing. We're all bored and content.

Opens like a white floral green chypre. The galbanum hits right away and burns off quickly. Reminds me a bit of Eau de Private Collection for about 60 seconds. Then I smell jasmine. This isn’t Mugler’s purple-grape-soda Jasmine, nor is it brightly vicious, like Lush Lust’s Jasmine. This is like Nuit de Bakelite’s Tuberose - realistic, green and punchy. The indole is refined here, this opening is very vintage to me. And it only lasts about 2 minutes before the tiare comes. And then I’m reminded of the more contemporary Bronze Goddess Eau Fraiche, but make it musky. Before too long I’m smelling Kiehl’s Original Musk’s older, more sophisticated sister, and that remains until the last bit of down, where I start to smell woody spices. Drydown is like Ebene Fume or Eilish 2, so super Amber of some sort. The notes don’t list jasmine. I’ve never confused tiare for jasmine, and I seem be to smelling both of them, but anything’s possibly with my nose. It’s a fun frag, for sure. It’s well done. I like how it plays. I don’t think I’d spring for a bottle, but 10ml would suit me nicely. Longevity with Heliodose isn’t great.

Heavenly! The marketing copy is pretty spot on: it’s a languorous tropical green floral with some indolic funk to it. Definitely sunscreen-y, but much less so than others commonly found in the genre. Dries down to a masculine tangy musk - kind of similar to the dry downs in many popular men’s scents -but works to great effect here contrasted with the floralcy. Sweaty & warm. Perfectly suited to the sticky wet summer heat.

Heliodose is the scent of tiare in the air. The first few times I tried this I was confused because I smelled rubber, like a bike tire. It needs skin and a little bit of heat to really open up- the wearing experience was totally different when I sprayed this on skin and took a walk outside. There are probably better tiare fragrances out there, but it's photorealistic and straightforward, with no added sweetness.

The smell of the humidity pulling away from a kiss in a car after a tanning day on the beach. It’s night, it’s still warm, the suntan oil is still clinging to you, and your partner is still close enough to smell the cocktail of saliva on their lips, or maybe your own.

Addicting gorgeous summer florals. Smells like a tropical beach and pure sun. Gets a little powdery as it dries down and has an element I’ve only ever smelled before in concrete from Commes des garçons. Chalky, sunscreen, solar, pool/chlorinated notes, skin note.

This is a soft pillowy cloud of fresh and fluffy musks and gentle white florals. It has a tinge of banana to it though in a cute way. It smells like a bougie body cream.

Warmed skin at the end of a summer day. A little bit of sunscreen, human skin, and white florals. I just picked up a bottle and can’t wait to wear it all summer long.

To me it's quite similar to Monotheme's Tuberose, which costs 15€/100 ml. In the drydown they deviate, and in Heliodose you get this nice chalky, powdery smell.

Wearing it while doing anything productive feels wrong. This feels like something you should be smelling while slipping in and out of consciousness

Gluttonous & indulgent fleshy white petals with a bite. Sweet, musky/vicious, sweaty...a true delight to smell.

Like a lot of people, I basically get florals from this. Nothing much more complicated. Nice for that, though.
