Boheme Chic

MARRAKECH IMPERIAL MAGIE ROUGE and BOHÈME CHIC Absolutely one of my favourite new houses with the collection of good quality perfumes from one of my favourite perfumers Christian Carbonnel (known as well Chris Maurice). I will make a review of them all. I’m obsessed with powdery soft musky perfumes atm and there are two of them in this collection. Since I only have samples of all these perfumes I want to compare a little bit these two instead of just writing an in depth review separately (which I’m going to write after having a full bottle of them). I have many different kind of powdery perfumes: clean, soapy and bright ones, vintage make up powdery ones, baby powdery or baby wipes kind of scents and of course subtle powdery roses and some sophisticated fruity powdery perfumes. Now I have found two absolutely mesmerising powdery scents which are not like any other which I already have so they don’t fit into the categories above. MAGIE ROUGE is somewhat “neutral” powder and even a dusty one (in a good way) and I have been trying to find this kind of scent for a while. There is not too much Vanilla in it which makes it different from many other perfumes in this category but just enough to wrap all the notes in a warm blanket. The texture is utterly comforting, soothing, beautiful and velvety soft. The blend is harmonious and does not emphasize any note above the others. In many powdery scents you can find Iris or Orris Root but here is Acacia which has warm Iris like and powdery qualities and even if Acacia is called as Mimosa as well here you don’t find that rich, sweet, yellow floral note which dominate easily. Violet adds the powdery feeling as well without vintage make up -like nuances which puts this in the neutral category. I would say that this is a modern make up powder smell. For me it was unforgettable since the first sniff. In BOHÈME CHIC the powdery note is not so opulent, powerful, dominant and dry. The scent has beautiful tender floral note which makes it slightly more feminine than Magie Rouge. Here Iris and Heliotrope are creating a subtle and indulgent, romantic and hazy cloud which unfolds with sweeter and creamier Vanilla than in Magie Rouge. This is anyway very neutral as well without turning soapy or baby powdery nor almond like creaminess in any kind of way. Both of them are addictive scents, it’s really hard for me to save the precious drops until I will have full bottles of them some day. Because I only have samples I can't say so much about longevity and sillage (can't spray as much as I normally do). Thank you for reading, I hope my review was helpful. Reviewing this a man i would say this is one of the best smelling fragrances i've smelled for women ranking 2# under Psychedelic love from initio. Wonderfull iris butter note that evelops you in a fluffy cloud of musks with vanilla undertones. The materials used are top notch and yo can tell just by smelling this. So far this is the best Marrakech imperial fragrance i've smelled. Girls if yo are figuring out if buyng this or not, trust me buy it. I'm considering buying this for my girlfriend, worth every penny.

This is so good. It's so soft and sweet... I'd want to always be around someone who smells like this because it's so comforting. It's somewhat gourmand because the rice and vanilla notes are there, but it's fluffy sweet not sticky or cloyingly sweet. The heliotrope and iris give it a beautiful, clean, powdery softness. This is beautiful; and it's something you could wear anytime, but personally I wear mine when I'm going to be close to someone I love❤️

I just received a sample of this and I tried it out for a brand event today. I have been searching all day what this reminds me of and it’s Xerjoff’s discontinued Corallo from their Casamorati line. I loved it, I stocked up, but now I would gladly exchange it with Boheme Chic. Fantastic scent with a really good performance for this type of profile. It’s a love for me.

Powdery, softly sweet and deeply feminine, with a smooth, velvety aura. Strong and long-lasting, it leaves a distinctive presence that unfolds beautifully on the skin and lingers for hours.

This fragrance is absolutely astounding! Just when I think I don't like iris notes... this comes along. This is the scent equivalent of putting on a real cashmere sweater. The rice and iris hold hands and play very well together. The iris acts as the powdery starch coating the rice, the dates and amber and musk ground this fragrance from being too puffy and powdery. Absolutely beautiful!

Super dreamy cozy rice and iris scent. You must like powdery scents to like this. Smells like I’m floating on clouds, wrapped in the softest fuzzy blanket. The musk isn’t overpowering. Such an easy wear. I love it!

This is glorious. Opens with a fresh powdery refined note that stays throughout the duration. Other notes like the date and rice fall into place well orchestrated to enhance the fragrance. Gentle enough for a morning walk in the sun, yet also night worthy to take you a little deeper onto a starry stage. Boehme Chic is a desire that is attainable. When so many things fall short of what we hope for, this, this is amazing. This whole line is prodding me to explore their entire line. Side note: the rice is not starchy it is perfected because it’s not a steamed rice but one that is fresh

WOW! I'm not a fan of fragrances that lean sweet but this is delicious! It's not overly sweet but definitely a fragrance for fall and winter. This is just beautiful.
