Oud Kasbah Royal

The opening is strongly herbal and aromatic, a little bit sharp as well and it fits well with the structure of the fragrance. Still, I'm happy that the scent evolves quite quickly into the heart notes because I'm not a huge fan of Lavender. Spices in the opening are very gentle. Patchouli is made like in Les Nuits de Marrakech - it's not that dark, earthy, aggressive one which is familiar from many perfumes. It's soft and subtle. It's very difficult not to love this scent if you are thinking the base, those notes together can't disappoint you if they are well done - like they are here. Oud Kasbah Royal is velvety soft, absolutely cozy and soothing blend. It's mellow and round, Mimosa and Vanilla creating a deep unique aroma which is more intense than the overall ambery touch here or Western style Oud which stays all the time in the background maintaining anyway an interesting combination with Mimosa. Oud performs a bit stronger on my husband's skin. Yet, this is not totally safe because of Mimosa here - even if it's not overly strong. Imo this scent is perfect in colder climates, some may think it's cloying in hot. It's totally unisex and office safe despite of Oud. Again one full bottle worthy from Marrakech Imperial. This is my first impression as I have not worn this fragrance for a full day ware. I am testing this out of the sample kit. I would like to say a few words about the customer service of Marrakesh Imperial. In my experience the customer service was really good. I got a prompt response to my inquiry the next business day. My package arrived from Europe well packaged and I also got some extra samples with my order. I do recommend this brand. Oud Kasbah Royal is a very safe soft aromatic and slightly spicy fragrance. The oud in here is without its “dirty” animalic facets; it is a westernized oud. It is present in the opening of the scent, but unfortunately, on me, it disappears shortly after the top notes ware off and its place is filled with lavender, which here is very pretty and not the masculine aftershave type. For the most of the duration of the scant, it is a slightly freshly aromatic, warmly spicy scent with a slight hints of oud-y woodiness and a touch of aromatic lavender. To me this fragrance fills safe and nice, but not exciting. It is pleasant and pretty, but lacks the wow factor. If you are looking for a safe, pleasant, well done warm spicy, slightly woody unisex fragrance, then this is a very good option. I would say that this fragrance is office safe and best suited for daytime ware because of how soft and safe it is. However, I can also see this being slightly refreshed and you are after-work-dinner ready. On my skin the performance is not that great either, it is very soft. I see absolutely zero similarity to African Leather.
