Essence Vanille

I will say.. I get the hype and why it never stays in stock. I’m obsessed. Does it drive me up a wall that Marlena created a masterpiece vanilla and only released it in 30ml? YES! That’s the one thing I’m fuming about because WHAT. For the way I want to smell this all day and to sleep at night.. 30ml won’t last me hardly any time. In time I think she will fix it and granted the small dainty bottles are very chic and cute but I need more juice. The people complaining about the price I don’t understand.. it’s like those people have never seen Clive Christian prices for small bottles. For me the price is good because you can always use some code so I got mine for under 100 which for quality niche that smells heavenly is a damn steal! Now this isn’t complex no but it’s the perfect cozy year round vanilla that just smells decadent and sexy. I like it on its own but I’ve also been using it to layer with cashmere & palo santo from DK and it’s GOOD GOOD!! If you have both you need to layer them. They were made to go together and be the most divine concoction. But on its own it’s one of the best vanillas I’ve ever smelled and it is simple because singles less is more. You smell all three notes listed and the blend is magical. To me it’s so yummy and sensual that if blissful aftercare had a smell.. it would be this. Just my opinion!! It’s that sexy and cozy at the same time.

Love at first sniff. Delicious. Key lime pie in a bottle with a dense meringue layered on top. The vanilla is thick and custardy- I definitely understand the “eggy” feel, but far from finding it unpleasant I ADORE it. It’s warm, rich, the lime is sparkly and juicy; it is true that after the initial blast the lime takes a back seat but it’s still around just enough to carry a little bit of brightness in the dry down. I picture a sun soaked kitchen, the smell of warm pie crust lingering in the air. Why were you up before sunrise making pie? Who knows. But now you’re watching the walls turn golden and having pie for breakfast. This is a satisfied smile at an indulgent little secret. It would be just as at home in that cozy kitchen as on a romantic evening out. Silage/projection is pretty soft but it’s a nice little bubble the wearer (and anyone snuggled up to them) can smell clearly for 4-5 hours. I do hope it gets a bit stronger as it macerates but not too much. I don’t feel much coriander at all in the beginning, it peeps out in the dry down but just barely. I can’t wait to see how this performs in heat as well! I love lime and citrus vanillas in the summer. This is something I’d wear when I want to feel a little indulgent, cozy, confident, and inviting. This fragrance is beautiful and I’m so happy I added to my collection. ☀️🍋🧁🥧

Wow this is so good! If you enjoy vanilla with citrus then you need to try it. A perfect spring/summer vanilla! The lime isn’t strong or sour, just the perfect little bit of lime. I also get the coriander but it’s also not strong. To me this is nothing like Devotion, I’m not a fan of that one because I strongly dislike orange blossom. The more I smell this the more I realize it smells nearly identical to Kerosene Unknown Pleasures. However I actually prefer this.

Just received this today and have been spraying non-stop since then. Love it! One of the best gourmand vanillas I've smelled. My only complaint is that the sillage and longevity are a bit lacking, but I find that often improves (especially with vanilla fragrances) after you let them sit a while.

Anyone getting similarities with Ledda's 20 Bourbon Brûlée? It's in the family of that and Unknown Pleasures, definitely not the same, but in that direction and much less dense than either of them. I don't get key lime pie--I actually wish it had a stronger lime tone. It's pleasant, lightly aromatic, and a strong like, but not a love.

I don’t get the citrus or coriander in here. It’s a nice sugar cookie vanilla. Not very original at all, but pleasing to the masses. Sits a bit close to the skin. This is a LOT like Gateau des Anges (angel food cake) by Fleurit.

Well, this is interesting. Most citrus vanillas are lemon forward, or orange or grapefruit. This is absolutely lime forward! I get creamy lime, with a very buttery toasty crust to open. The butter note is very strong in the opening to my nose. I don't see butter listed, but its buttery. Once it starts to dry down it almost disappears on my skin. it fades to a faintly apparent buttery lime popcorn sweetness. I don't get the coriander, unless that's the "butter". I don't know that I want this on my body, but its a fun smell to smell. Skin chemistry is a funny thing, what it does to fragrances - I don't think this one works with my skin. Oh Well, its a fun fragrance for someone!

The price of this bottle is so unreasonable given its size, quality, and performance. There is a cooking-oil smell that accompanies the lemony scent, and I’m not sure which ingredient is causing it. I purchased a discounted, pre-owned bottle on Mercari—otherwise, I would not have bought it—and I plan to resell it there. I’m always surprised when little-known brands with no real name recognition (unlike established houses such as Guerlain) set such inflated prices. If you want something better, I recommend Deliziosa Duduar Milano, which offers stronger performance, higher quality, and no strange cooking-oil scent.

Review from discovery set - opens up with a sweet and thick “eggy” smell that’s quite unpleasant but this completely fades away in the dry down. The dry down first smells exactly like Dolce & Gabbana Devotion and then transitions to Kayali Vanilla 28 / Majouri Imperial Vanilla. Definitely not a linear scent!

Does what it says on the tin! It's a very sugary vanilla. If you want to smell like a sugar cookie this is for you. Not really my jam, but I got this in a gifted sample set. I'll probably layer it with other scents. It's very one-note, but it's a nice vanilla that doesn't get acrid or stanky.

This smells very much like artificial vanilla flavoring to me. It is almost too sweet. And I tried layering it with other perfumes but it has such a synthetic quality to me. Glad I only sprung for a sample. This is very overpriced for what it gives. But the bottle is beautiful.

I can’t get the similarities to Unknown Pleasures AT ALL! I have the full size of UP and the sample of this Vanille fragrance and the cakey note in both is about where the similarities end. This is a very straightforward vanilla essence. I definitely get the keylime pie with strong vanilla scent, which is pleasant albeit sweet. Very gourmand, despite the reviews I’ve seen on YouTube. I would buy this, although the price tag is ridiculous. As I said in my review of Luxembourg, this is severely overpriced. For the essences I wouldn’t pay more than $50 or $60.

Idk why but on the test strip AND on my skin this reminds me so much of TPH body care line with the vanilla & tuberose scent. I sprayed it and was determined to figure out why it smelled so familiar. After about an hour on and off referring back to the scent strip, I remembered!!!! Pulled out my TPH body cream “watch me whip” and THAT was what my brain was trying to guide me to. I’ll definitely put these two together soon and see how it turns out😍😍.

This one is lovely !!!! No weird musk notes or ambroxan or these crazy aroma chemicals in everything now. It’s an opens up to a dense lemon cake custard type of vanilla then settles down to a sweet citrusy gourmand. I own lira, unknown pleasures, hufflepuff etc and this is different than them all. I get no spice at all. Just wish my bottle was bigger this one is so good

I love this. LOVE. What I don’t love? The price to get it in Canada. The $135 US price tag is fine. But. With shipping and duties and taxes and exchange, for me to get it here it is a little bit under $300. Or, $100 per 10 ml. More than Amouage, Kilian, Narcotica. By a lot. I just cannot justify the price for it.

This is a really nice vanilla skin scent with a dash of line. Very elegant and well blended. For what it is this is overpriced. Nearly 100$ for 30ml. I did enjoy it but I won't purchase or buy.any more Marste.

I am most definitely getting Keylime pie vibes from this perfume!😍🤤 it’s comforting, sweet and creamy. All three from this line are amazing🤗
