Deadpool

My brother is such a comic nerd that he bought a whole collection of these Marvel character themed fragrances and Deadpool is by far my favorite. It seriously does not smell how I imagined Deadpool would smell and I’m pleasantly surprised. It smells clean and the musk in it is soft and sweet; tender almost. According to Wikipedia “When asked about Deadpool's sexuality, co-creator Fabian Nicieza stated, ‘Deadpool is whatever sexual inclination his brain tells him he is in THAT moment. And then the moment passes.’” I think this fragrance fits the sentiment. It’s definitely unisex and incredibly sexy imo. If my brother finds this one missing from his collection it’d probably be because I stole it. But it’s so affordable I can buy 1 for myself. Or 2 or 3.

I didn't expect to enjoy Deadpool - I usually find character scents kind of gimmicky. But, I was pleasantly surprised! I don't necessarily disagree that it smells generic - or whatever the cologne equivalent of a 'mall scent' is - but that's not a bad thing. It's more like if there was a battle of the generic colognes this would come out on top - it smells great in almost any situation and for under $20 it's a great deal. The woody opening is strong when first sprayed but dries down nicely. It has a great sillage but probably only lasts ~4-5 hours - perfect for a night out. It is actually my favorite scent on my boyfriend, even over the more expensive colognes he has. It definitely catches my attention every time!

Imagine the 5 most generic and cheap fragrances you've come across... Now dump them in a vat, and water them down. Deadpool.

The juice is garbage. I bought it because I'm a nerd and $10 was for the box and bottle.

Found this at Burlington on clearance for $10. I mainly got it for the metal box. The "fragrance" itself smells like that temporary hair color spray you find at Walmart during Halloween mixed with a shitrus toilet spray. At least I have a cool box.

So, we found this at Hot Topic and they were kind enough to let us sample before purchase. My son is a big Deadpool fan and he went with me. It is orange blossom, very faint and then gone. It doesn't even smell masculine at all. It certainly doesn't smell anything like you would think Deadpool would smell like. I could even have gone for a cupcake/unicorn thing as being ironic, but I think Deadpool should smell a bit different than say a Jean Paul Gaultier Masculine.

This isn't a critique of the scent but I imagined Deadpool would wear a fruity sweet smelling cologne.
