Affection

Affection Mary Kay is very overwhelming perfume , like for me . It is very powerful so you need to be very careful to spray them on your body . Try them first on the scarf and only one spray and sampling it whole day , if you are feel it is right perfume for you , then you can spray one time on the neck under the hair . Be very careful with amount of the perfume only 1 or maximum 2 spray no more. it is very long lasting perfum for more then 1 day , even after night you can smell it second day .It is very bright perfume with clear smell of pink pepper which is very sexy , seductive and temptation smell for men noses , and smell of bush of lovely flowers . Because of the power of the perfume , you are clear can't wear that perfume every days . It is the perfume for special occasion only . I can prove it for you , so lots of men will pay for you lots of attention and will give for you lots of compliments if you will wear that perfume. If you want to be queen of the night , I suggest you really need to try that perfume . I had it all .It is the perfume for dating , partying and special occasion, because it is very sparkling , powerful and seductive , temptation smell . But of course , sample it before you buy it . It can to be just not yours " cup of tea". I love that perfume only for special occasion. That perfume is one of beloved in my collection of perfumes

This is a very rich scent. I can't believe it's sold at the price. A master nose using excellent ingredients. Affection comes across to me like a neo-Joy without the annoying civet that goes bad too soon. It has some of the smokiness of ultra-hip stuff like Breath of God and Oriental Lounge. The bottle goes for a sort of oceanliner deco look, which makes some sense. I think this is a sleeper. If you collect, I'd look into this one.

The very first spray of this perfume had me wondering if it had gone off or of I had made a huge mistake by buying blind. I have sprayed it on me a few times now and it continues to grow on me. The opening is pungent and harsh but just 10 minutes or more on your skin will start to open up the osmanthus and peony. After about 20 minutes it will bring on the beautiful amber. This may be a simple perfume because of the number of scents in it,but don't be fooled into thinking it doesn't develop like a much spendier designer perfume,because it does. This perfume reminds me of Black Opium in how you must spray it well in advance to allow for the scents to open up. This perfume could be a special occasions perfume or possibly a date night indulgence.

Pepper and amber stand out to me- it's spicy and warm with just a tinge of sweetness and smoke. I like it, but must admit it's not very complex which might be considered a good thing by some who don't like the surprises that come with perfumes that morph once applied to one's skin. This one stays the same and has strong sillage and staying power. Apply lightly or you could end up with a headache. It is starting to remind me a bit of a spicy version of Liz Claiborne. EDIT: The peony is coming out in the dry down after wearing for about 3 hours and it smells even better.

This is a very strong and long lasting perfume. It lasted on my clothes for days!! The scent itself is a warm spicy smell. It smells good, but unfortunately it doesn't suit my skin chemistry (ends up smelling like potpourri on me).

hmm this one is interesting...i think i am getting all the notes but can't even place which one is strongest. i think it's a peony/osmanthus combination maybe. it's almost astringent seeming. the pink pepper is there adding a tartness. i get more osmanthus over time, and it definitely gets fruitier and a little less astringent. as amber gets stronger it improves the scent, but it goes sweet and sour on me, and it's not for me.

Affection by MK is not a young scent, I'm not within the targeted age range. The strong plum note is the last element I would be interested in.

WOW.... I have never smelled anything like this before. Very unique! I am at a loss of how to describe this frag. and it's development of notes because they al blend together so well... in such harmony! I got this fragrance five years ago... and it has not gone bad yet. When I wear this, i definitely feel that warm semi-sweet amber-y sexiness which is balanced perfectly by the osmanthus and peony. The pink pepper adds a zip and some sweetness. Don't get me wrong, this fragrance is sweet, but not in the Britney Spears "fantasy" or "Pink Sugar" kind of way. Its a mature and alluring sweetness that is positively captivating. In my opinion this fragrance is modern, and alluring. Very sexy, exotic and feminine. Turn heads with "Affection":)

I just get this perfume, this is the most expensive fragance from Mary Kay perfumes (460 pesos, equivalente to 38 dollars)with only 40ML. My Mary Kay friend bring me the bottle to work, I applied a little bit only and get captivated for it. In my opinion is an oriental, elegant, long lasting fragance ideal for fall and winter. So far I get 4 people opinions of how good and elegant it smells, the bad part is that my boyfrind opinion is that it is a little bit "too stong".

When I first apply Affection, it is HOT pepper. I wonder if I made a mistake. But I get dressed and half an hour passes. The hot pepper fades into the background and a very apricot like osmanthus appears for the duration of the wear. I like it but it could use a different name. It doesn't seem affectionate to me. It seems powerful, confident, slightly bossy, a risk taker. Good sillage and staying power.
