Cityscape for Her

Didn't expect much, but it is addictive and smells so creamy yet fresh. Bottle could be better designed, but will do.

12/03/19 - I broke it out of its rectangular white plastic frame because it’s stupid and made the bottle clumsy. There’s a petroleum note that ruins all the otherwise pleasant notes. Maybe it’s the “Angelica”? If that note didn’t exist, this would be a pretty, powdery clean floral frag. Pity the creators had to ruin it with that petrol/gas note - SMH Top notes: bergamot, pink pepper, red currant, violet leaf, apricot Middle: orchid, orange blossom, peony, iris Base: sandalwood, plum, madagascar vanilla, angelica, amber

It's not horrible but it isn't great. I sprayed it and my friends hated it. Its not one of those scent that when you are next to another person you wonder what perfume they have, its just there.

It's a Mary Kay so it's cheap perfume. Does not come with a top/cap except the square white thing which forms the top of the stand in a white rectangle. I found this baby in the home of a co-worker. She didn't want it anymore so she gave it to me for free. I had never smelled it on her so she had never worn it at work; even though this is definitely a safe-work place/office scent. The first spray is a citrus and orange blossom, light, fresh, refreshing. There appears to be other fruit top notes in there, besides bergamot orange, i.e. the apricot, and I also sensed a pineapple. There's definitely red currant and pink pepper. But they do not seem to be as strong as that lovely opening of citrus. This is a delicious 'lemonade' opening. Smells like spring and summer with sunlight streaming into a vase of flowers on a window sill. If the name suggests an urban scene 'Cityscape' then it is an apartment building which has windows, balconies and sills on which sit flowers. Florals in this perfume include violet, rose, orange blossom, orchid, peony and iris. The notes listed on this page are incomplete. Definitely sweet florals with a heady violet and sweet pea, a peony and rose combo, white florals i.e. orange blossom, possibly jasmine included as well. The flowers are fresh and subtle, airy, like the aroma of flowers carried into the air. Sweet but not green-herbal, more like a light floral in a vase kind of scent. This is a toned down and less powdery/soapy 5th Avenue by Elizabeth Arden. It is also comparable to a more affordable version of Chanel Mademoiselle. Also reminds me of Reverence by Princess Marina de Bourbon. It may also resemble Giordani Gold Original by Oriflame. If you like any of these frags, you'll like this one. This is asking to be worn with blouses, nice skirts, like pencil skirts, dresses, and hats for tea/church. Smells light yellow so I can see myself wearing this perfume to match a yellow floral pattern dress or white dress. It is very lady like. The dry down is a soft and smooth blend of amber, sandalwood, vanilla and white musk. To my nose the main base note is the sandalwood. But this is long lasting, far more expensive smelling than the price. It is mature, simple, elegant, and yet casual. Good for every day use, running errands, work place. It is a day time and spring/summer eau de toilette which nevertheless has long lasting staying power. It is very subtle and so even if you spray too much it does not turn into a big projection. Smells like a sweet and soapy clean floral. It is totally feminine; nothing unisex about it. I can picture a public female schoolteacher wearing this. I am so glad that I own it. It is my first Mary Kay and I hope to find more out there. Just because a perfume is affordable doesn't make it bad. This is so lovely.

I smelled this on my hairdresser and wanted to try it. It is a lovely fresh floral scent. Reminds me of the same fresh floral family as MAC’s Turquatic, but not as aquatic. If you like the fresh florals, give this a try.
