Tribute for Women

There are two versions of this fragrance with different notes. The 2002 edition is apparently different from the 1990 edition. The 2002 edition was released on the 40th anniversary of Mary Kay in honor of the founder who had passed away. The 2002 edition is a sweet, rich, and slightly powdery fruity floral and one of my few favorites, though I find it a bit rich and strong for everyday wear. I have found two note descriptions for the 2002 version: Type: Floral Oriental. Top Note: Ruby Red Grapefruit, Orange Blossom, Passion Fruit, Luscious Lychee. Middle Note: Pink Plumeria, Pink Rose of Texas, Cherry Blossom Calypso Orchid. Bottom Note: Cherry-Vanilla Souffle, Warm Amber Wood, Sheer Tonka Bean, Soft White Musk. Elsewhere found as: Pink Rose of Texas, Pink Grapefruit Tree Blossom, Cherry Blossom, Fairy Slipper Orchid, and Warm Amber Wood The 2002 version has a light pink box and a pink-tinted frosted bottle that is tall with rounded shoulders, each with a rose etched in white. The bottle currently pictured here (at least as of today on 8/14/13) is the 2002 bottle. There is another bottle I have spotted in a medium pink box that has the same shape as mine but is not frosted and has a kind of clear prism color or something, I would assume that is the same scent as the 2002 version and I think it is a recent re-release that has since been discontinued again. (I really like this newer bottle and want one of these!) I think both the 1990 version and the 2002 version have been discontinued, though occasionally Mary Kay does re-release older scents, but personally I will not rebuy from them anyway unless they stop selling in countries that require animal testing.

I have to wonder if I actually have this perfume as the bottle is an unmarked small purse spray. The notes dont seam quite right, and its not like Cherry Vanilla to me. I get a heavy, warm, sweet, spicy carnation.. I do get musk and light jasmine. The spices are huge. Almost a peppery opening that did make me sneeze a couple times, fading to a warm musky sweet still spicy scent. I get a good amount of amber here which is not listed. I would definately call it a spicy floral oriental.. Sillage is huge but lasting is poor at only about 2 hrs. I do love the scent but not sure if I will purchase a full size due to the lack of longevity.

I have this scent in a deep red colored can of mousse spray - and I love it. It is long lasting and quite a heady floral - it's beautiful.. I use it sparingly as it is hard to find. I have the powder that came with this as a gift set it is a pressed flesh tone powder and surpisingn lightly scented compared to my other dusting powders (which never seem to fade). I'd happily buy the mousse again. I'd write more but this is my first review.

tuberose, narcissus, iris, freesia, musk; NO carnation and spice; I have the 1990 version; this reads as a sweet, powdery yellow floral and doesn't last long

"Pink Rose of Texas at the heart of the fragrance," the box says, but rose is not listed as a note? Peach plays dominantly in this perfume. It's like trying to sniff different flowers, but someone sprayed a peach fragrance over all the petals. The florals are noticeable, but the peach really stands out. The sweetness of the peach makes Tribute a good cold weather floral perfume.

I have this in a clear bottle,frosted lid,with a gold metal band around the top of the bottle and amber liquid. Can anyone tell me if this version smells the same or has it been reformulated?

loved d topnotes, but after using for a while d drydown became a bit over-whelmimg/ heavy for me.

Long lasting fragance. Smells like Candy, very sweet but not overwhealming.
