Many years--(mid-or late 80's!) ago while living in NYC and wandering around the upper west side, I went into an obscure drugstore that was having a mark down sale, and found a full, half ounce parfum of Mary McFadden in it's classic pleated glass bottle---marked down to under 10 dollars!!! I worked in retail fragrance and was familiar with this rich, full bodied dressy floriental scent and was astonished to find this beauty at such a price!! I used about half the bottle that first year--but kept it for the gorgeous bottle---about 2 weeks ago I re-opened it and tried it on for the first time in decades---and it is STILL gorgeous and totally wearable. Just above, I noticed that E bay is offering a more full bottle of the parfum ---for almost $400!! I'm wearing it right now---and I am thinking about how the universe gave a perfume freak a gift that day---and I am deeply grateful!!
