Art Foundation

I was on the hunt for milky fragrances because i have a weak spot for soft, milky/creamy scents and when i came across Art Foundation on Fragrantica, i knew i would love it before buying it. Upon first spray, I'm met with a powdery, milky rice and apricot scent that pretty much last throughout the duration of the fragrance. There is a slight woodiness to it. I was expecting some type of make up scent, but i do not get that at all. Art Foundation smells like a very expensive lotion you'd use after a shower. As far as performance, though it being a very soft scent, it projects very well with the right amount of sprays. I use 4-5. It last on my skin about 4 hours and becomes a skin scent to my nose afterwards. Fragrances with that type of longevity are usually good for running errands or outings with friends because those usually last a couple of hours. If you're planning on wearing it to work(assuming you work 8 hours or more), you may want to bring the bottle. Speaking of the bottle, i find it very unique and suites this scent well. Art Foundation is suitable for all ages because it smell so clean, but it's not your typical clean scent. If you're willing to take the risk, i highly recommend buying this. Having like over 80 bottles of perfumes I just can't stop using this one and this one only. I'm in love with it to the extent I'm considering making it my SS. Milk, powder and white musk give this gem simply heavenly touch. You feel like an angel wearing it. Like you were made to do good, to be a consolation for those in need, like warm hug, and soft kiss put on a cheek wet with tears.

I appreciate almost all Masaki scents, but this comes first! The opening is slightly sharp, powdery/flowery, then comes the fruity accord, and finally it dries down milky, very close to skin. I like to wear it when the weather's chilly, cold, rainy

I really agree with Tony’s review below mine. Art Foundation is a very delicate skin scent. Milk and a slightly musky powder are the most prominent notes. The milk is well executed; that note typically smells like butter to me but not here. I get the osmanthus at first, which is a bit citrusy and crisp. Apricot also adds a nice sweet and tart touch in the beginning, and fades a bit after drying. I didn’t find the rice note to be especially noticeable, except for when it’s first applied. In fact, more rice probably would have accomplished the lipstick description, but this is more of a baby-bubble bath-powder than a cosmetic scent. Art Foundation radiates a delicate powdery aura that remains close to your body. A great “mmm you smell clean” after a hug type scent. It doesn’t really smell like Kenzo Amour, but it has a similar vibe. They are pretty close at the beginning when the rice note is there, but it dissipates and becomes gentler and more powdery. I find them dissimilar enough to own both.

it really is very nice- soft, overtly powdery, and warm. it smells like my childhood babysitter, being hugged, her telling stories and making dinner. weirdly its a little cigarettey/makeupy, i'm not sure how to explain it, and the cream/rice for me is not so overt. but it's SOFT. i got my claws into a nearly full bottle for a good price :D!! i could see myself wearing this at home, before bed, while doing laundry. (edit: i got complimented twice in the span of an hour :DDD)
