Cherry

The proof I needed that I CAN like simple fragrances when they are both done and presented right - compared to my frustration with the immobile top note of BR540 - is absolutely found within the mat; series. Cherry is certainly a cheap and cheerful perfume in its approachable naiveté, delivering a clean and juicy burst, straight out the gate, of both the blossom and the fruit. In polite disagreement with other reviews I've seen, I actually have no complaints RE: its longevity, and am occasionally pleasantly surprised by finding other notes revealing themselves as the day continues (not least of all a lovely, not-too-sweet watermelon). Whilst it may never be powerful enough to establish itself as a signature scent on anyone's shelf, I find this something of a strength, as I feel in no way like I'm betraying my typical gothic aesthetic by wearing it.

I agree with everything you said, Miss Binky. It's just so lovely with a burst of cherry flavored juice but without extra sugar and calories. Its light and juicy. It makes me think of plum wine as well and I don't know why. :))

Just too potent, plummy, luscious/cloying for me, I'm not sensitive to fragrance but this is almost overwhelming. However, the drydown smells musky and is more pleasant.

I think I must have gotten an old/improperly stored bottle. It doesn’t smell bad but it also kind of smells like water that’s been sitting in a bathtub overnight. I smell no fruits or sweetness, least of all cherries. What I smell is bitter almost minty cherry blossom trees, really flowery with a faint twist of unsweet watermelon rind. The cherry blossom fades away and eventually it’s just (bathwater) musk and that watery note (discarded watermelon rind.) It’s refreshing but kind of boring and weird also. Maybe it smelled different when it came out.

This was truly a beautiful fragrance. I remember smelling it on someone and then immediately purchasing. However time took its toll on this one. This one does go bad in the bottle. It was stored like some others I had, all which are fine. This one took on a very stale quality when I came back to it. I only mention that because it’s discontinued now so if you find them on eBay or another resale, it might not live up to your memory.

This was a blind buy mostly because I like the bottle and the idea of a cherry perfume. It's really fresh and I get mostly cherry blossoms, no cherries at all really. It's not fruity or sweet but more fresh and light. I smell something watery which might be the watermelon (although it's not sweet like watermelon). Mostly it's light cherry blossoms and water to me. It's fine but it's not what I was expecting.

Lovely rich cherry-berry scent, like pie filling w/out the extra sweetness. Unlike many in this genre, not at all unsophistocated but alas neither is it long lasting

the bottle looks so gorgeous and notes are perfect for me I hate I can't find this 💔

I'm a pianist, and the cherries on the flacon look like music notes to me :)
