Absolutely stunning sandalwood! It’s salty, it’s milky, and it’s spicy. Really smells like a natural ingredient but from some magical woods. On my skins it turns into beautiful silky blend of fresh aromatic spices and herbs and soft woods in the base. Lovely! Follow me on IG: scent.guide

Modern woody chypre with high quality ingredients that unfortunately fails to leave a huge impression because of too many ingredients fighting for attention. The scent opens with a a variety of citruses, rosemary and cypress. The brief heart is fig, rose and violet. The perfume settles on a very dense base of sandalwood, myrrh, benzoin, amber, amyris and cypriol. The unisex scent has moderate to strong sillage and very good longevity. It feels a bit overdone, but does convey the experience of sitting in a shady alcove overlooking a garden outside. Enjoy!

The scent opens with a burst of Mysore sandalwood, along with fresh citrus (mainly grapefruit and lemon, not bergamot), fruity notes (fig), and herbal facets (rosemary and cypress). The sandalwood is undeniably the star of the show. As it starts to dry down, the citruses fade, leaving behind a creamy, woody, and aromatic middle. The violets become a little more apparent, but not by much. The scent develops a carrot-like texture, creating an aroma reminiscent of a woody carrot cake — especially because of the sandalwood. As the scent reaches its drydown, woody cedar and balsams emerge. The cakey aroma shifts towards a woody base — still creamy, but with hints of bitterness from the cedarwood. The amber pushes the sandalwood to become warmer, and the cypriol prevents it from turning into just another sandalwood scent. How? Well, it stops the transition of the scent into a complete cake. I clearly draw parallels with another sandalwood-focused scent: Amouage Meander. Where Meander lacks the fresh start and is a more unilateral scent, this one transitions at every stage. Most suited for fall and monsoon, but I personally believe this can be worn in any season, especially indoors; it’s just a matter of adjusting the number of sprays.
