Dolceacqua

Upon initial spray I feel the vibe of Guerlain Champ Elysees. Even though mimosa is listed in the middle note, but I think it is there upfront. Yes, to put it simply, Dolceaqua La Donne really exudes yellow flower, however it's actually quite complicated. In the beginning, before the yellow-ness, aside from mimosa, there's green-ness there, there's the smell of a fresh cut grass after the rain, it feels a bit sour, and fresh. It mixes with the powderiness of mimosa. And yes, my nose pulls a trick on me, even though I immediately remember Guerlain Champ Elysees, but when I look closer, all is green. And then the sea note chimes in in the dry down. My friend told me that she felt like there's a seaweed note, and I understand, beneath the surface, there is a bit of saltiness, so for those who don't like marine note, you should try first. Overall, it creates a sensation like I am in a mangrove by the sea, and the sweetness reminds me that I'm not really by the sea, it's just a scented soft and tender cloud around me. It projects moderately for about 4 hours, and the goes low for 4 more hours. So, if you love loud perfume, this is not for you, but if you're looking for unique scent, Dolceaqua might be within your alley.

What a beautiful fragrance and what a beautiful concept! The representation of a beautiful woman, waiting on the most beautiful view of the coast of Nice: she smiling, beautiful in her simplicity... a glass of wine drunk with that view and the lightness of an unforgettable moment: because yes, simplicity is sometimes the most beautiful thing there is. This fragrance is light, sparkling, with aquatic notes that are not dominant because they are accompanied by green and floral notes masterfully tuned, and which create a single irresistible symphony, which brings joy and freshness. Not normally a massive floral fan, but I love this and am totally won over. The lily-of-the-valley is definitely there at the opening, and I get the aquatic waft, but it quickly blends into the almond blossom and mimosa on me with something faint that smells almost violet in the distance. And usually if there's rose anywhere in the mix then that rose is pretty much slapping me in the face, but with this one... Just beautifully combined. Yes, a teeny bit soapy (I think that's the lily-of-the-valley) but it's so light (but not too delicate) and feminine (but not immature and girlish).

Dolceacqua is what I’ve wanted Chanel No. 5 to be! It’s brighter and a little sweeter in the opening— which I truly enjoy. You lose that sweetness in the dry down and becomes almost identical to No. 5. Overall, I really like it! It is a more modern version of No.5. This makes me feel very elegant and put together. Also a perfume you can wear literally all-year-round! I find Masque Mailano fragrances to be overpriced in general so for this reason I will not be picking up a full bottle! I will be cherishing my travel size.

A gorgeous slightly vintage-smelling floral perfume with a decent projection. Contrary to the name, I don't find this fragrance sweet in the modern sense. Mimosa and lily strike me the most. The "coastal breeze accord" (per the MM website) gives it a fresh twist but in the dry down the musk is rather prominent. I'm not the biggest fan of saffron and I don't find it bothersome here.
