Lost Alice

Lost Alice by Masque Milano has quickly become my favorite fragrance. The smell evokes a feeling of stepping into a warm British tea room and ordering a large slice of warm carrot cake with tea and cream. I was immediately drawn to the milky notes and the gourmand cake scent. It feels comforting in a way that a warm hug would feel. I don't pick up on the powdery description, but mostly the milk and baked good accords. It doesn't feel too young or too old, and strikes the perfect balance of a comforting smell. It's the type of smell that I would want people to remember me by when giving goodbye hugs. Generally I only do only one or two sprays that are distributed on my wrists and then dabbed on my neck. Because I don't use much it's not overpowering, but I do smell it if I'm using hand gestures when I talk. I've found that if I'm having a particularly stressful moment or day I will smell my wrists to relax myself. Originally I had purchased this scent as an add on to some other purchases. I was buying samples from Tigerlily Perfumerie online and this was listed as one of their New & Noteworthy scents. The quote of "too much black pepper, and no, the black pepper is not too much. It is balanced to perfection!" sold me on buying this sample. I am hesitant to spend so much money on only 35ml, but I haven't found another scent like it.

Absolutely love Lost Alice! I am a DIE HARD FAN of Alice in Wonderland. I mean, it's obsessive what a fan I am. Disney's movie, as well as the new ones with Johnny Depp, never cease to captivate my imagination. Lost Alice smells like buttery scones with the most mouthwatering red currant jam and black tea with lots of cream. It possesses a magical, somewhat mysterious quality that is hard to pinpoint. I pick up a little of the broom, which helps to place the perfume in the outdoors and reminds me of the momeraths, haha, but it's extremely subtle. Hours later the gourmand qualities retreat a bit, while iris grows to provide elegance. By this point the perfume is more subtle on my skin, but it's extremely pleasant with milky orris butter. I can't believe there is no fruit in the pyramid because some type of red fruit is quite prominent. The official description mentions "white roses painted red", so maybe that is what they mean? Yet I do not notice the scent of rose. In the past, when I wanted Alice in Wonderland vibes, I wore Blossom Jam Tea Cakes by Solstice Scents. I highly recommend that any other big Alice fans try it out! It is more gourmand with cakes, honey, jam, milky tea and wildflowers. But if you prefer a more proper lady-like perfume, Lost Alice is perfect.

Lost Alice opens with a clear black pepper. A very clear black pepper. I can only smell carrot and tea if I concentrate. The fragrance gradually turns into a creamy, smooth texture. It becomes a scent similar to those nostalgic lipsticks that we used to find in our mother's handbag and that we used to sneak on. There is a nice powderiness that does not suffocate you. It is a very unique fragrance for me. It made me say I'm glad I bought it. However, this scent seems to polarise on different skin, so it is a complete surprise because of the milk, sandalwood and black pepper. It blends beautifully on my skin. The projection is also very good. I don't think anyone has the bottle when they make statements like 'carrot cake-like' and 'gourmand'. By looking at the notes, they are making it up with an enormous imagination. Never expect anything gourmand. But I fell in love with the scent, it's fabulous. Fans of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland will love this scent. 🫖❤️👧🏼🥕🥛🍄😺 10 hours later: It lasts a lot longer on the skin than I thought it would. The last sensation is a very slight sweet milk.

🐰 Easter Bunny in a Bottle! 🐰 This is such a whimsically fun and darling fragrance, and I'm particularly enjoying it with Easter just around the corner... It’s perfect for spring! Lost Alice is a unique fragrance, entirely unlike anything else in my collection, and I absolutely adore it. I'm not a huge fan of super sweet gourmands, and I certainly would not classify Lost Alice as such. While I detect a hint of "carrot cake", it is expertly blended with so many other ingredients including powdery orris/iris, and tea rose. There's a splash of bergamot and the tiniest sprinkle of pepper... nothing overpowering, just enough to add interest. A sweet creamy note that must be the "milk" along with sandalwood pulls everything together. I don't really detect any "tea" per se. But the entire experience is definitely evocative of Alice in Wonderland... or even the Easter Bunny! Aptly named, Lost Alice will take you on a delightful journey! Silage and longevity are strong for me (around 4-5 hours) but that's with 6-7 spritzes. Highly recommended!

This is a definite LOVE for me. It really showcases what ambrette and carrot/carrot seeds can do. In my opinion, they are the primary notes, followed closely by orris/iris, sandalwood and a tea accord. BarbieBright hit the nail on the head, comparing Lost Alice to the slightly sweeter and perhaps slightly more youthful Zoologist Rabbit. I have that as well. If you like Rabbit, you should like this, and if you like this, you would probably like Rabbit. Lost Alice is complex. It is soft, rich, creamy, powdery and lactonic, yet spicy, woodsy and aromatic. I imagine dining in a fancy Manhattan restaurant, sipping hot tea with cream and a touch of sugar. A salad is served, drizzled with a rich, creamy and savory dressing. The waiter hand grinds fresh black pepper onto the salad and it hits my nose as it falls. The fragrance gets sweeter and slightly gourmand in the dry down, like a creamy carrot cake custard. The current Fragrantica score of 4.09 is inexplicably low. I would rate this a 9/10 with a Fragrantica score of at least 4.35.

I’m in love. It smells like tea and carrot cake and it’s soft and delicious. And it LASTS and projects on me with even the tiniest spray!! It’s there to greet me when I wake up if I wear it to bed. And who am I kidding, I have been putting it on again in the morning. My next full bottle purchase if I can find it in stock somewhere, can’t wait to have it for this spring. Side note but the running joke at work is that I go down rabbit holes so this is perfection conceptually as well for me. Edit, I ended up buying it on special at Maxaroma while they had a coupon and branded free travel spray deals running. Very happy. To add to my impression of the fragrance, this isn’t cold for an Iris fragrance likely due to the ambrette, it’s of a neutral temperature to me, and ideal for transitional weather. Later edit: I see comparisons to Meander. When I smelled Meander I didn’t think of this fragrance at all, though I did enjoy it I thought it leaned masculine to me, whereas this leans feminine.

This was a blind buy for me. I love tea scents and when I heard about this one it was instantly on my radar since Alice In Wonderland is one of my favorite Disney movies. If you don't like iris/orris notes this will for sure be a skip for you because the orris is very present in this one for me. It's a powdery/lipstick orris. This is also quite a bit more floral than I thought it was going to be, I am really picking up on the rose and broom notes. The notes that stick out the most to me are: rose, ambrette, bergamot, orris, sandalwood and tea. That being said, I do like this perfume but I wish that it was a tad more milky and slightly less powdery/floral. I can see this being a year round fragrance which is always a bonus for me since I don't like feeling limited to a season with a fragrance. I don't find it to have very good longevity, maybe 3-4 hrs? So I guess the name Lost Alice is apt since she gone after about 3 hrs (at most). Lasts a bit longer on clothes.

Lost alice: really quite an accurate representation of it’s name. The direct Alice in Wonderland influence is absolutely what called me to this fragrance as I am a huge fan. I think that this is a really beautiful representation of a flourmand. It has this beautiful cakey imagery, it is like a buttery delicious carrot cake that is iced with an iris frosting and little candied flowers. It is really powdery and lactonic, it gives that whimsical tea time in a garden fantasty that is really lovely. The english tea, steamed milk accord, and orris are really the main players in my opinion. While the ambrette, broom, and sandalwood bring this really fluffy texture throughout the entire fragrance. The bergamot and black pepper in the top notes aren’t super prominent to me, I usually have trouble with frags that are too peppery but this one is really fun and well blended.

I had a sample of this laying around and decided to put it on after my shower today. I just went and ran errands and I felt *blushes* so pretty! This is a very light, bright, almost dainty perfume. It is sort of chai tea, sort of carrot cake, but doesn't wear like a typical gourmand. Powdery but not old lady. A little herbal sum' sumthin' lies underneath. Oh and it projects like hell! I was walking around in a constant cloud of Lost Alice for hours, and standing three feet away from people because I was worried I would choke them out. I believe the ambrette is the culprit, as I am particularly sensitive to musks - in the best way! Love this but not convinced it is masculine enough for me to have on the shelf - even as a man who loves women's fragrances.

Evokes buttery lipstick and soft sweet pink setting powder, like a little girl's dream of a grownup vanity. I agree with the milky cookie or tea remarks. Below someone wrote "It felt naughty to wear this even though everything about it suggests innocence." I picture a young kept woman of an older time, enjoying the spoils of early marriage. She's gotten all done up on a chilly night to go out and get treated to an Italian dinner date. She's innocent, basically cosplaying the role of a more mature woman. She's grown in society's eyes, but still a giddy girl. Not an everyday scent, but very special. Much more feminine than what i usually go for, but could continue to spark joy when used sparingly :)

truly so lovely. the ability to pick out each individual component works heavily in its favor because it feels like pinpointing each character/scene from the book. heavily milk and rose, tea and lipstick, a little pepper and something nutty and earthy to ground it. SO soothing on skin, wears very mild and feels like a hug. it's like an autumn walk where your imagination runs wild and every color and creature becomes something magical. like your own face is following just behind you and telling you what to do. sometimes i think it's too mature for me and the rose or pepper peek through the lipstick to remind me where i started. love love love

ooo ooo ooo she's got a new fave. I LOVE THIS FRAGRANCE. I looked at the notes and was already like, how could I not love this and I was right. The cozy and warm but fresh hug you need. Someone asked me who the type of person to wear this frag was, and I said someone with wanderlust, where good/wild things always happen to them and they walk around with this bright eyed naivete about how unique their circumstance is or how special they are (in a good way!). Then I went on the Masque Milano site and read the description and OMG YES, this is Alice (from Alice in Wonderland's) Tea Party! YES.

I am so surprised by this scent in the best way possible. The carrot, black pepper, tea and milk especially stand out to my nose. It feels creamy and spicy with a slightly floral powder note that isn't quite rose, but something adjacent. I get the amberette and musk at spray, but the dry down showcases the sandalwood beautifully and if you've ever smelled bourbon mash, there's a bit of that too. This isn't gourmand and I wouldn't consider it a floral either. Whatever it is, it's complex and gorgeously done. I'm really happy to have this in my collection.

Damn. I got this randomly in their Advent Calendar. Didn't expect anything nice because I don't love orris, powdery notes in general. This is ~80% 'something familiar' female likable perfume but the rest of it... omg, it's so so surprising, I've never smelled anything like it. Definitely get a sample at least. My only regret is having smelled the sprayer itself - it has a tiniest hint of lemon (not bergamot or other citruses) and with that note the scent becomes literally perfect to my taste. Sadly lemon always dissipates almost the second you spray it.

Masque Milano's Lost Alice is perfection. A work of art. A gourmand delight. A great, comforting fragrance for bedtime. I purchased a 35ml bottle and expect to buy many more over time. It one of my most-loved and worn perfumes. Close your eyes and you are there with Alice during the tea party in Wonderland. Master perfumer Mackenzie Reilly hit it out of the park with all the bases loaded and then some. Masque Milano wants her to contribute a fragrance to its Donne di Masque collection. I say bring it on!

It is a very light and pretty fragrance, like the sweet frosting on the carrot cake. It does start with a cool orris root, which is brightened by the top notes. It quickly fades to a warm, sweet, and lactonic base that sits close to the skin, but is still worth seeking out. The Alice in Wonderland reference helps the fragrance; it transports me to that little room with the Eat Me cake or The Mad Hatter's tea party - good fragrance, great marketing.

Does anyone else not get any gourmand notes whatsoever? Where in the world is the carrot CAKE coming from? This is 100% a powdery, herbal tea and it has almost no sweetness to me 🫠 I like it but it’s not what I was expecting at all. Edit: I guess this just needed to sit for a bit, or maybe my nose just picks up more sweetness now, I don’t know. But I get the carrot cake now. Sweet and powdery, and does remind me of Alice in Wonderland.

This scent has taken me by surprise in the best way! I'm not usually drawn to creamy or powdery fragrances but there's something in Lost Alice that radiates such comfort & beauty that blows me away. It's mellow without being dull, sweet without being saccharine, powdery without the diaper/cosmetics bent. It's just lovely. So feminine & comforting. A single spritz on a chilly day has had impressive staying-power & sillage.

This is tea time in a bottle! Opens with an aromatic and fresh black pepper paired with a hint of spiced sage. You quickly get a buttery orris with a sweet carrot and the smell of afternoon tea. There’s a dewy rose lingering in the background as well. The dry down is a milky sandalwood scent with powdery broom and remnants of that orris and tea. It’s cozy, powdery, milky, and softly earthy. A really fun scent

I’ve seen a lot of people saying this perfume smells very sweet (some even claim it to be sickening), but to me it is more spicy than sweet. i think it’s perfectly balanced! It smells like a garden with a hint of carrot cake. I LOVE the carrot note. I do not smell milk at all tbh. I actually blind bought this perfume and it’s one of my favorites!!

A very unique fragrance that opens quite peppery and fresh with the bergamot and dries down powdery, milky and slightly sweet. I do detect a hint of carrot cake but the rose is non-existent. I love it, it’s so whimsical and it’s literally the most perfect scent to attribute with Alice in wonderland. I’ve never smelled a perfume like it before.

I absolutely adore this scent. It smells like a soft carrot cake on my skin. I purchased the tester, DO NOT BLIND BUY THIS PERFUME, and fell in love. The only real downside is it doesn't have a very sillage for me and doesn't seem to last long on my skin. But this is such a beautiful and unique perfume, I would absolutely recommend!

This is beautiful. Bravo Masque Milano, you have truly captured the tea party. I enjoy every phase of this fragrance. It is now on my FB wish list. It's not too gourmand, just a touch with whisperings of a garden party in the background. I think I'm leaning 10/10 on this one which I have never rated any fragrance that high.

This a gem. It smells so delicious and is quite reminiscent to Alice in Wonderland. It reminds me of Earl gray with milk and freshly opened deck of cards towards the middle, kind of like Xerjoff Pikovaya dama (probably due to iris and sandalwood notes). Really nice and really playful.

Lactonic, woody and comforting carrot cake iris. Very high quality fragrance that distinguishes itself form the plethora of similar musky iris on the market. Here you really can smell the difference. Never rough nor synthetic. Pure bliss for autumn months.

This is absolutely one of my favorite fragrances. It smells like a spiced carrot cake and a cup of tea with a splash of milk. It is incredible. Very soft, creamy, and feminine. I must buy a full bottle asap!

This is the best tea scent I have ever encountered. It reminds me of milk oolong—decadent. This is beautiful, comforting and incredibly well-made. When this runs out, I’m going to restock.

This really made me happy. Very soft spice, super cozy, not heavy, no sweetness. Eating carrot cake with a cup of tea in the best way. Not for everyone, but I love!

This gives me some Omniscient Mr Thompson vibes in the opening ...the pepper and the orris together probably. It ends there though. That tartness from the bergamot and herbal musky sage throw it in a different direction. As much as I tend to really like a pepper note , I don’t love this opening. (Oh and the pepper sticks around into the drydown ...but it softens.) I do start to enjoy the perfume about 20-30 minutes in. It starts to blend down to the milky tea and creamy sandalwood. Not sure where that slight sweetness I pick up on comes from. BTW not picking up any gourmand traits for me, but I personally associate that with sticky sweet dessert scents (right or wrong ..just my opinion). This is not that. The ambrette and carrot seeds bring some musky powder. The powder here is what I would consider a starchy powder. To reiterate: this is not a sweet spicy carrot cake. You will be disappointed if that’s what you are looking for. Sits pretty close to skin. Longevity is decent. Marketing is on point though! (**EDIT TO ADD** I have worn this a few times now. The drydown on this is really pleasing. I still have no clue where the touch of sweetness comes from (initially thought it was from perfume I had been wearing prior to applying Lost Alice) but it is there. It floats around in the background coming forward occasionally. Maybe the broom??? This is a quietly beautiful perfume. Sorry gourmand lovers ..still would NOT classify it as that tho!)

I took some time off from wearing fragrance. A few weeks ago my cairn terrier unexpectedly suffered a stroke, and two days later she was gone. If you have never felt a deep connection with a pet, you may not be able to relate to my sentiments of love and heartbreak that I have for my dog. It all happened so quickly, it feels surreal. I still can’t believe she is gone. Through it all, I stopped wearing perfume. I had no desire to do any of the things that brought me joy. Initially I didn’t understand why, but I’m pretty sure I didn’t want to associate a smell with this heartbreaking time. I buried my sweet girl with 100 pink and white roses, and whenever I see or smell them I do think of her. But back to this scent, Lost Alice. Lost Alice does have rose in it, but it’s hardly detectable—other notes are bigger players, mainly tea and milk. I picked this scent to test because it sounded comforting, which it accomplishes. I would describe Lost Alice as a floral gourmand. Iris root is more noticeable. Everything smells natural and there’s decent performance too. A nice, comforting scent. Just what the doctor ordered.

I'm a gourmand gal, like lactonics, tea, and cake, but I guess I just discovered I'm not an easy fan of things that smell like carrot cake! There's a first time for everything. The opening from afar made me nauseous. It's well made and complex. To me, it is a realistic and cream heavy carrot cake, with a pretty tea note which shows up more in the drydown. I like this phase more! So carrot cake scent lovers this is your buy. Not blind buy safe for others. Doesn't have a realistic full-bodied milk to my nose, rather it's incorporated as an ingredient in the carrot cake, partly as cream. I kinda like it, personally suitable for occasional wear, it's sometimes relaxing, sometimes too much. I'm very stingy with my sprays when I test new frags, it was 1 spray the first time I tested, then 2 hours after the drydown I went for another spray- it opened up to me so much more and now I enjoy it, the spiciness from black pepper is prevalent and that in combination with some of the other notes is just a little reminiscent of ginger. The orris is also quite detectable. Yum!

earthy, spiced, milky carrot tea. it’s almost like someone baked a carrot cake and forgot the sugar, served it beside a warm glass of milk. the orris root is earthy but not overpowering; as it dries down, i really start to get a feel for the pepper and sage, and they become more apparent on my skin. the herbal tea note remains. the subtle sweetness of the carrot fades, but there is still a warm, milky embrace. the sandalwood almost transforms to a cashmere on my skin, and as it dries down, all the notes seem to meld together. i do wish the carrot was stronger, as i’ve found i really love that note. i think it’s the spices that have me thinking this could be unisex. the dry down is unobtrusive and grounded. it’s fall here and this was a great time to get this. i will be testing it more as the days become colder, its one of those warm scents that feels like wrapping yourself up in a sweater. tldr moderate projection and longevity. unisex? sure. sample it. could use more carrot.

This was incredibly sweet and feminine on me. The kind of sweetness when you take a bunch of fenugreek pills. It opened with a spring garden, lemon bar for a flash, which then became a piping hot lemon tea with a cup of earl gray directly behind it. Then I smelled like a blob of cream cheese icing and fairy bread for an hour and a half, but this had such a lovely, lovely turkish delight-like rose once it mellowed out that it somehow made up for it. The carrot is hyperreal and very lush. You could bite it and suck out the carrot and orange flavor of Kagome veg juice lol. Dusty, spicy, woody dryness that reminds of makeup and sawdust moreso than earth. The sage grounds it nicely. The ending is more icing. It felt naughty to wear this even though everything about it suggests innocence lmao. Imho this is 2010 live action Alice, not storybook Alice or cartoon Alice. Best for winter or a very cold spring. Definitely a jumble but so fun.

Upon first impressions this is nothing like I anticipated. The opening is a burst of citrus bergamot and copious black pepper giving off a somewhat savory air of fresh spiciness. It is more refreshing and masculine than I thought it might be with a woman's name in the title and supposed gourmand/cakey elements. To my nose it is unisex though. It is aromatic and has an aspect of zen and calm to it. Perhaps it just needed to macerate somehwat, a few weeks after the initial spritz some of the sweet spiciness and lactonic touches started to come through. It gives an impression of a creamy cardamom infused chai latte. Overall enjoyably unexpected, fairly unique and pleasant to wear! I enjoy the combination of aromatic, fresh and lightly lactonic. I think Lost Alice is befitting of it's storybook name as it smells whimsical. I might be falling down the rabbit hole to purchasing a full bottle.

Lost Alice is very [very] similar to Meander, and it makes sense since they're both by Mackenzie Reilly. The nuances between the two are so light, that you would probably only be able to pick them apart if smelling side-by-side. Unfortunately, I only had a sample of Meander and bought this blindly, so I can't do a side-by-side, but I think this is a lighter, slightly softer version of Meander with the creamy sandalwood lasting throughout. Warm, slightly spicy, slightly powdery, with hints of chai late in the autumn, and definitely for the sandalwood lover. Sits close to the skin with moderate silage. Because this also reminds me of Frapin's If by R.K, and because Alice in Wonderland was my all-time favorite book as a child, I find something poetic in this DNA profile. It's comforting and nostalgic while invoking a state of reflection and contemplation. Beautiful!

Lost Alice opens with a waxy, makeup-y, slightly carrotty iris with some delicate florals around the edges. then there’s a sharp, icy herbal effect, lasting a few minutes and then transitioning to a pleasantly dry Earl Grey tea place. and finally, gradually, there’s a further transition to a soft milky-woody zone; not sweet, just mild. The whole arc is over in an hour, and thereafter we remain in pale-beige milky-wood land, with the barest suggestion of iris and bergamot tea. Lost Alice is a very sheer, faint, polite “beige scent” with an emphasis on woods. I think it’s better than Tam Dao, for instance (a wan, pale synthetic “sandalwood” that remains inexplicably popular), and a far more tasteful take on milky Earl Grey tea than the gooey sugar-fest that was Remember Me. I tend to want more perfume in my perfume, but Lost Alice is definitely nice.

Some days I really like this, other days I find it kind of abrasive. It's a cold day in Southern California today, and I can really smell the bergamot (a faint cloud of earl grey tea), spiced carrot, and lactonic notes coming through. It's sweet, but curbed by what I presume are the pepper and sage notes– I like how it isn't a true gourmand, sugar bomb. It's warm and comforting on a cold day as its dry-down is lightly sweet and buttery, but plasticky and sharp on sunnier, warmer days. I haven't been reaching for this perfume recently, but I can't stop sniffing my wrist for some comfort on such a chilly day! This would be a beautiful winter and fall perfume. I'm intrigued by Masque Milano and am looking forward to exploring their other scents.

I had written a lengthier comment, but after wearing this a while longer what I have to say is pretty brief. To me, this has little to do with the advertising, nor the advertised notes, excepting tea and sandalwood. It starts out very similar to Gris Charnel or The Matcha, but in my opinion is much nicer because it doesn't seem to contain the screechy "woody amber" of those fragrances. The dry down is rather creamy but doesn't remind me of milk, but more like French milled soap. It lasts forever, and I noticed rather strongly on a shirt I'd worn a few days ago (when I last wore this) while doing laundry today. Men seem to like it. Super cute packaging and advertising, but don't worry about carrots or "too much black pepper."

This one is a sleeper... It comes on so slowly and quietly, in the first half hour I'm not even aware it's there! Then, suddenly, BOOM, oh, hi, there you are... Milky, orrisy and with a bit of tea. Maybe too much tea, it's coming across as a little too bitter-metallic for me. It's not much, but it's noticable... The carrot adds a bit of earthy goodness, to accompany the orris, but for mine, what takes this scent from excellent to very good is the tea -- I really don't think it belongs at all. It's unnecessary, and in my opinion, actually ruins it a little. I still plan to trial this out a few more times, but that is my preliminary feeling...

Lost Alice is a soft, powdery, and milky fragrance that embodies delicacy and comfort. I wanted so badly to detect the carrot, milk and hay notes that everybody else was talking about. Unfortunately, on my skin the sandalwood was overpowering with some sharp, airy florals in the background. I might have smelled something like hay very faintly, but it was hard to pick up. It smelled like a high-end version of the mishmash of perfume samples stuck to the pages of fashion magazines. It also stayed very linear on my skin and lasted about 5 hours. I wonder if it would be different on paper or clothes. I’ll be trying Rabbit by Zoologist instead to see if it’s more carrot-cakey.

this isn’t necessarily my type of fragrance, but it is nice. very peppery, carrot cakey, powdery, and herbal. to be honest, on my skin, i don’t get much sandalwood, just a whiff of it. the more it dries down, the more i smell carrot cake, tea, and pepper. it also becomes more lactonic as it settles. unfortunately, this doesn’t last on my skin at all which is honestly a shame. despite it not being my usual kind of scent, i absolutely love the concept. alice in wonderland is my favorite disney film well, the 50s version, not the 2010 one this was supposed to follow. but still, i love it.

This is a very complex scent. It’s flowery and spicy, creamy but also feels fresh. On my skin it settled into a perfect mix of everything. I’m getting more carrot rather than carrot cake, it kind of smells like a tea brewed with fresh carrot. It’s very comforting but in a quirky way. I could smell it around me for the first 4 or so hours, after that I could still smell it on my skin for another 4 and it stayed on my clothes the rest of the day. It is a difficult fragrance for me to place, as I like it a lot, but I’m not sure in what situations I’d want to use it.

This is quite nice. Milky, sweetness from a combination of carrot, bergamot (juicy), and broom. The milkiness gives a creamy feeling. The ambrette, pepper give some heft while clary sage and tea make it aromatic. I don’t get rose. Update: 05/30/2026. The first time I wore it was from a decant, which was nice. I bought a bottle, and I think there is a variation among batches. I don’t get any carrot, sweetness, or aromatics. All I get is creamy sandalwood and more sandalwood. Now I am thinking either I find a perfume to layer or declutter. What a disappointment.

I didn’t like this at first honestly. This is an iris and black pepper fragrance. However, while you get a slightly powdery makeup iris, it’s not your grandma’s lipstick; not an aldehydic soapy iris bomb. It’s like a comforting and vintage but classy hug. Somewhat creamy dry down. Sits very close to the skin. Maybe lasts 2-3 hours. I started wearing it a few hours before bedtime while I wind down. I associate it with relaxation. It’s not so understandable where it’ll have mass appeal, so I rarely wear it out. I wear it exclusively for me.

She wakes up and yawns with her arms stretched. Shakes off the stamen bits from her face. The flower too must have been shaken in a frenzy from the wind last night, she thinks. She wonders how she's such a deep sleeper. At least the petals have opened up for the morning, she laments, and pulls up her teal and gray striped knee-high socks. Splashes her face with the morning dew. Hey, she exclaims, what am I supposed to do with this baby? Well, the baby is being rocked to sleep now, lay down your head pretty girl.
