Love Kills Oud

Got a tester at a satisfactory price, but the 650 euros pricetag... hmmmmm To me this is a better version of Oud Satin Mood with a obvious original Love Kills gene.The fresh rose with little sourness is still detectable in first few minutes and soon evolve into the typical rose-oud scent with more freshness and fruity side. In the drydown I detected a dessert like scent that I would describe it as a "Blueberry Cheese Mousse" accord, unanticipated became the best gourmand fragrance I tried recently, and moreover, this breathtaking undertone lasted quite a long time(still clearly detectable after 10 hours apply). Longevity is quite good, projection isn't beast like but still, quite enough.

Amberous, fruity, jammy rose-oud. Subtle and wearable. Really decent. I just can't break the 🙂 4 star barrier here. Seems like hype train 🚂💨 oud and not anything particular, or artisanal, like I'd expect from an oud base. It's good, don't get me wrong. But very meh in the realm of oud fragrances. To my nose, it's hard to separate from so many Middle Eastern cheapies, except that the I gradients here are obviously of a "higher caliber." The undertone, the patchouli and vanilla, very nice. Just the overall scent has a meh, whatever vibe to me.

Original Love Kills is rose and patchouli, blend wise akin to a lot of Kilian's rose-ouds. Rose is such a wide segment that any change will shift this scent from 1 class to another, and that's exactly the case here. Love Kills Oud shifts the scent towards sweet, not towards oud. I'm sure everybody knows what the sweet rose is reminiscent of... yep, you guessed it - Montale's Intense Cafe. I'd say there's no oud here. Like zero. To the point where noticing it in the blend is impossible. The discrepancy between this and Intense Cafe: less sweetness, added patchouli accord, mild aromatic hints. That's it. Again, nothing worth €650. I'm not sure I'd even pay the €395 they're charging for 100ml of the original Love Kills for this.

Just bought a bottle myself. This is fruity rose with a slight hint of cypriol & oud. The rose is not grandma or potpourri at all, but a fruity fresh one. Longevity is above average and projection is very good for the first 2-3 hours.

The sexiest and most addictive rose oudish scent, ever. It’s expensive but worth every penny. There’s a special tiny bit of sweetness in this that does it for me. It’s ever present but light at the same time. In love!
